I have been traveling frequently from the Bay Area to Sacramento for work. I haven't geocached much, but I spotted this one last trip on a long walk from my hotel, but had nothing to write with. Today I just stopped by on the way to my hotel and quickly signed.

To me, the leaves were shaped more like bay laurel than oak, but pay no attention to me. I hid a cache in the crotch of a madrone, and called it a manzanita. Thanks!

I had never seen this historical marker before, and was a bit surprised it was here. The trail was busy today, but I was able to grab the cache between hikers. Thanks!

Sequoia swim hole

The water was a bit stagnant and brownish looking, so it didn't look very appealing for swimming. I took care to not go swimming by accident, and was just able to reach the cache with my long arms. Thanks!
