Coyote Creek Pigeonhole

After our company picnic at History Park, dclendenin and I wandered over to "What I wouldn't do for a Geocoin", then headed for this one. I knew from the map which side of the creek this was on, and neither of us wanted wet feet today. We got across the creek on Story, then respected the construction fencing where the new Happy Hollow parking lot and pedestrian bridge over Coyote Creek was being built. We headed down the street, around the corner, and down a long fence line and checked that every gate was locked. The fence finally ended and there was a well worn path along the creek, past three encampments, some of them fairly elaborate. The path ran out well before our destination, and we were fortunate that the field wasn't too bad this time of year. Finding the cache was fairly was fairly quick and anti-climatic after our long hike, and after our view of life along the creek. Thanks!

What I wouldn't do for a Geocoin - Letterbox

We had a company picnic today in History Park, so I checked out the nearby geocaches. This was the closest, so after ice cream, dclendenin and I wandered over. He found it earlier in the day, but humored me while I repeated his earlier efforts. Thanks!

Tiny Butterflies

There were three caches for me look for in this park, so I decided to take a little walk this morning and look for them. This one was nice because a geocacher would quickly notice something out of the ordinary, and anyone else would pass it by. Thanks!

Ground Control

This was cute, and I got it after a couple tries. The container top is indeed overly tight, and I ended up going in from the bottom. I put everything back the way it was, and made sure it still worked OK. Thanks!

Put 2 and 2 Together

I parked nearby, and found the apparatus, but was initially unable to figure out what to do. I thought something must be missing. I headed into Vasona, did some caching, and got a bright idea while working on another cache. On my way back, I stopped by again, and this time it was a piece of cake. Thanks!

A November Cache

The cache is still there in its hidey hole. I managed to get it with doing too much damage to the side of the trail, and I got it between trail runners, bikers, and hikers, so I wouldn't have to explain why I was down here. Thanks!
