Marie Laveau, Voodoo Queen

10:35 am - We were stoppong for gas across the street and I noticed this one so I dashed out to grab it. It turned out to be a cool place so we explored a bit after filling up. Neat old cemetary. The queen's tomb was easy to find as it was surrounded by tour groups. Thanks.

Soft Shelling

5:14 pm - While the ladies were touring the gardens nearby, the boys went for this cache. We got poked with thorns and attacked by black flies, but at least it wasn't raining for the moment. Not a difficult find. Thanks. TNLNSL.

Little Billy Goat Hole

3:03 pm - I'm not sure why you have to both sign the log and answer a question, but both were easy enough on this rainy day. Most folks were frantically trying to get their boats out of the water in the thunderstorm. Thanks.

Oyster Eaters

2:42 pm - We were staying in New Orleans for a few days and decided to take a drive; we ended up here! It wasn't too much fun today as it was pouring rain. I jumped out and found the cache quickly. I took the OC Crab TB and will be putting it on a flight to CA. Thanks.

Welcome to Alabama

1:54 pm - DNF. Despite the heavy rain, I ventured out to this one to see if I could grab 'nother Alabama cache while we were stopped here. I found a spot that matched the hint perfectly but didn't find a cache.

Bridges That Move!

Unbelievable. My second attempt at finding a swinging bridge and I find a bridge that is logged the same day. Nuts to me for not logging my caches promptly.

We were driving down US 90 on Sunday when I saw this one. I got a decent shot of it which was amazing since we were going 65 (there was no place to stop on the bridge). I forgot to get the GPSr in the picture though so I guess it woudn't count anyway. But this is a better shot of short circuit 2's bridge and you can see a boat going through it.

Eight Flags

12:24 pm - My first (and probably my last) Mississippi cache! It was pouring rain, so there weren't too many people around. There were some people in the consession booth nearby but they weren't getting any business today. I found the cache quickly before it started to really pour again. Thanks.

Copy 'Cat' Cam Cache

8:11 pm - We were having a dinner at Cannon's nearby and I noticed there was a webcam cache very close by. It was getting dark as we finished dinner and I was getting worried it would be too dark to do the cache so I dashed out just after the check came. I got my Dad to pull up the webcam but I managed to grab a picture of myself from my Treo. Thanks!

A Truly Great American?

6:21 pm - Interesting neighborhood and monument. The next day we went by this guy's house. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 06:21 PM

Box Cars and Snake Eyes

3:59 pm - DNF. Looks like there's been some construction exactly where the hint indicates the cache has been placed.
Posted by jeff at 03:59 PM

From Distant Shores

2:32 pm - This was a nice spot to take a break during a long around the French Quarter. Thanks!
Posted by jeff at 02:32 PM

The Founder

2:27 pm - I just happened across this guy while walking around a muggy New Orleans afternoon. Thanks for forcing some history on me!
Posted by jeff at 02:27 PM

Menu Venue

2:05 pm - While I noticed the hide location first, I had Rob look casual while he made the grab. It's nice to see a physical cache around here. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 02:05 PM

1:23 pm - We just completed a long wak down Bourbon street and this was just a short jaunt down the street. Thanks.

Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop

12:38 pm - This place was less than a block from our hotel, so I knew I'd end up going by here sooner or later. Yup, that's an old place. Thanks.

11:48 am - You're right - you can't miss this one. Lots of plaques here but I think I got the right info. Thanks.

South of Marina Park - Southern Micro

2:31 pm - I was getting nervous that I would be late for my flight, so I rushed to this one with MotorBug. He missed it on his first pass and I spotted it from another angle. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 02:31 PM

Marina Park - Northern Micro

2:19 pm - Last time I tried this one, I dropped the cache with a ton of people around so I gave up. Today I let MotorBug do the sticky business since I knew where it was. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 02:19 PM

Sidewalk Cache

1:33 pm - MotorBug and I didn't have much luck with parking, so he dropped me off and waited while I searched. It took me a few passes to come up with the cache. I felt kind of suspicious standing there especially when the streetcleaner passed by for the third time. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 01:33 PM

Bridgepoint Haiku 5-7-5

12:58 pm - We thought would have to dig for this one and then MotorBug found it in an easy spot. TNLNSL. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 12:58 PM

Counterclockwise

12:17 pm - MotorBug and I had a long walk around the lake on my way up to the airport. I sure wish this cache was there when I did the rest of them around here!

I was worried I screwed up the math somewhere but we ended up right on top of the cache so I guess I got it right. I took the ladybug TB hoping it wanted to go east somewhere but it just wanted to stay in the Bay Area so it's just getting some miles on it. Thanks.

Only One Way?

4:39 pm - I think we parked in some guy's driveway because he asked if he could help us. He sure could. He told us how to get into the cache area and wished us well. I had to tromp through some tall grass to get there, but found an easier way out. MotorBug made the find. TNLNSL. Thanks.

Ponder This

4:17 pm - We pondered but MotorBug pondered better and found the cache. I took the bill TB. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 04:17 PM

Cobalt Blue Vier

3:30 pm - We dragged MotorBug to this one, hoping he could help correct our previous DNF here last time. When we arrived, he remembered that he hadn't done this one before. Darn.

Somehow I manged to find it quickly though. I'm sure it hidden much better last time. TNLNSL. Thanks.

CHAD-anooga Choo-Choo

3:29 pm - My navigational skills were again something to be desired here. We parked too far north so we had to walk down the stairs to the beach and then back up again. The cache was easy to find but we had to wait for a bunch of muggles to pass. TNLNSL.

Not wanting to go back the same way, we continued up and walked around. On the way back MotorBug stopped in to visit a nice house to retire in. Only $4M! Keep buying those lottery tickets!

Posted by jeff at 03:29 PM

Cliff or Beach

2:03 pm - There was absotutely no parking to be found here. The state lot was full and the street parking was all taken up to a mile from the cache. We headed for a higher road and ended up parking at a park with beach access.

That was only half the challenge though. We searched for the cache for at least a half hour. We were giving up when I was able to raisy Marky on IM. He was somehwere on I-5, driving back down from the APE cache in WA. He gave me a little more info on the cache and I found it. It was completely buried. Ug. TNLNSL. Thanks.

12:48 pm - There were lots of beachgoers here today. We parked above to avoid paying for parking. Quick find on the cache. TNLNSL. Thanks.

12:37 pm - Nice view from up here. As I was signing the log, MotorBug was literally yanking my chain to which my GPSr was attached to my pen. What a nice guy. Thanks!
Posted by jeff at 12:37 PM

Saxocache

12:25 pm - There were lots of people around today, but we still did a pretty thorough search. Didn't find the cache though. Could be missing.

NT JAM #3

12:05 pm - We debated about where to park for this one as many of the streets were marked as permit parking only today. But some of the side streets were not, so we still parked close.

MotorBug had done this one already too and refound it before I did, so he gave me a little help. I took a golf ball and left an owl christmas ornament. Thanks.

Magnificent Mill

6:06 pm - This was our fourth cache in this park today and the fourth were our GPSr was completely useless. While I tried to get a signal in the clearing, Anne starting searching. I finally gave up and headed down to search instead, finding the cache quickly. I'm sure glad the descriptions are good for these caches! TNLNSL. Thanks.

Shake Your Bootie

5:21 pm - On the way back from Where's the Pancakes, we decided to take a little side trip to this one. Anne skipped across the water while I whimped out and took off my shoes at the first water crossing.

We hiked for quite a while and we started to get worried when we didn't see a sign to mark the epicenter. At last my GPSr got a signal and said the cache was 200 feet away! Well, it lied. We turned back and quickly lost the signal again, so we decided to look for a spot that matched the description. We saw one and after a bit of searching the cache appeared! Whew, we were lucky. TNLNSL. Thanks for the trip to this interesting spot!

Posted by jeff at 05:21 PM

Where's the pancakes?

2:59 pm - This cache was our goal for the day and a worthy goal it was!

My GPSr was completely useless the whole way. First, it routed us to a road parallel to, but not connecting to the park. After backtracking to Aptos, we found the right entrance. We drove up as far as we could and started walking. The GPSr had already lost its signal.

The map we picked up at the gatehouse was very helpful, but would have been even better if I read it right. We took two wrong turns because we thought we hard parked at the second gate, not the first. When does summer start here, anyway?

It was a long walk to the cache, probably deserving of at least another half-star. We only saw 2 other people on our way up. We saw some little falls first and wondered if they were it, but continued on to find the right falls at the end of trail. There was quite a bit of water flowing today.

I tried to get a gps signal, but it was still useless. I didn't need it find the cache though; I found it in the first place I searched. TNLNSL. It was cool to feel the water pounding on the log from the other end.

After some lunch, we headed back down. A short while later, I felt something like a bite on my leg. I finally stopped to check and found a tick that had crawled up my shorts and was feasting on my thigh. He didn't want to come out, so we fastened some tweezers out of a bent twig and pulled him out.

The rest of the walk back was long but uneventful and we sure were tired by the time we got back. Thanks for the great spot and cache!

A Prelude to Darkness and Light

2:04 pm - We were on our way up to "Where's the Pancakes?" and at first I thought I would figure out the puzzle on the way back. I'm glad I decided to read ahead. Once we were in the right spot, the cache wasn't hard to find. The Garmin was complete useless here. TNLNSL. Thanks!

Somewhere in Sunnyvale

7:44 pm - I searched all over for this one but I was running of time so I used a lifeline. Even with more info it took a while to spot. You really need to get up close! That's one well-hidden cache. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 07:44 PM

Mary Washington Cache

7:21 pm - I was on my way to picking up a pizza for dinner so this cache fit right in my path. I've wanted to check out this new spot. Nice place. The cache wasn't in my first guess spot, but my second was right on. Thanks.

GeoBeads #7 - The Puzzle Bead

7:07 pm - The puzzle was simple enough and I solved it a couple of weeks ago. Today I was finally in the area and went for the grab.

While I searching in the wrong area, I smacked my head hard enough on a tree to draw some blood. Ow. I found the cache soon after, but I guess I knocked the sense out of me because I forgot to take a bead!
Thanks.

Posted by jeff at 07:07 PM

SVC: Microsoft in the Valley

6:52 pm - The puzzle was straightforward, so I solved it awhile ago. There's so many caches in this section of town now.

As I was driving in I saw a guy playing the harmonica while he was waiting at a stoplight. Weird. Now what's with all the campers here? Free, unlimited parking?

I dug in the wrong place first, then found it in a second spot without any trouble. TNLNSL. Thanks.

Posted by jeff at 06:52 PM

BJ's Space Cowgirls

6:36 pm - You know it took me a couple years to figure out that strange noise I sometimes heard from my house was coming from this place.

The cache was chock full of good stuff, but I TNLNSL. Almost forgot my keys at the cache site. Thanks.

8:30 am - It's a bit early to be visiting this place, but it was good time to find the cache. I was helpful for the elevation assistance. Appropriate container, thanks.

8:19 am - Nice little park here. There was a muggle looking at the plants so I had to be careful. My instincts were right on where to find the cache but it took me 3 passes to spot it. Thanks.

Posted by jeff at 08:16 PM

Morning Run #2 - Levee Oasis

8:03 pm - I was ready to cross the stream and bushwhack to this one, but MotorBug put some sense in me and we drove around to an easier spot. Quick find. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 08:03 PM

Morning Run #3 - Hydrogen Warning

7:42 pm - This one was bugging MotorBug, so we went by on our way back from Oakland. We still didn't find a close entry point, so we walked half a mile there and back to the cache. Nice path. Thanks.

7:08 pm - I found this one all by myself with MotorBug providing adult supervision. (He already found it.) I guess I can see the island here. Thanks.

Birds' Cries

6:56 pm - More like "MotorBug's Cries". The vicious herb defending the cache gouged his arm good. I stayed back where it was safe. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 06:56 PM

Watch 'em Fly

6:51 pm - I nearly did twist an ankle here! There are logs of hidden holes and I jammed my foot right in one. After MotorBug read the description, I spotted the cache. TNLNSL. Thanks.

Oyster Rustler's Point

6:09 pm - We were all over this place looking for the cache. So many possibilities. I was relieved when MotorBug saw it even though I was right on top of it. TNLNSL. Thanks.

The Guy-y Cache

5:45 pm - We ended up on the wrong side of this one. I went around while MotorBug went the hard way. He had the cache before I made it over though, so I guess he wins. The cache was kinda empty. TNLNSL. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 05:45 PM

5:10 pm - MotorBug and I enjoyed this park. It seems we could have parked closer, but it was a nice walk. I spotted the cache and TNLNSL. Cool art. Thanks.

Damon Who?

4:58 pm - Damon who? Johnny Damon, of course! MotorBug and I were doing some caching in the area after watching Johnny Damon and the Red Sox play the A's across the street.

I found the badly rusted and crushed container quickly. Time for a replacement, methinks. Thanks.

Posted by jeff at 04:58 PM

Flotsum and Jetsum

4:40 pm - Well, I guess we came at just the right time. The way was passable and we headed over to the cache with ease. Good thing I've seen one of these containers before. Very strange. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 04:40 PM

Oakland's other airport

4:24 pm - This seems to be an old airplane field by the circle that MotorBug noticed. I used to have one of those planes. TNLNSL. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 04:24 PM

Three Bridges

4:13 pm - The place was a bit smelly today, but what do you expect at low tide? Once we got to the right spot, it was an easy find. TNLNSL. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 04:13 PM

Tookie Tookie

4:06 pm - MotorBug must be older than I thought; I have no idea what's he's mumbling to himself this time. We checked a few spots before I tried one other and came up with the cache. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 04:06 PM

JUST WAITING FOR THE MAIL

11:30 am - I didn't know what this one was about. When MotorBug found the first part, I was puzzled. What the? Did we find the wrong thing? Soon we made the connections and while I tried to brute force the container, MotorBug made another observation. Very cool idea. TNLNSL. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 11:30 AM

11:20 am - We looked around and around for this one. Finally I got my hands on it. Nice area. TNLNSL. Thanks.

10:55 am - They were doing some construction in the park today. A skate park or a playground or something else?

MotorBug had already found this one, so I watched his gaze as I searched. I trusted it too much as I was looking in completely the wrong place. Found it quickly after that. Thanks.

Famous Ones, By the By

3:10 pm - We decided to do some caching in the city this morning and while my wife was in the shower I thought I would solve a few puzzles. This one only took a few minutes.

The cache was well hidden and it took a few passes to spot it. I'm glad it isn't camo'd! Thanks.

2:56 pm - We wandered around the block before we spotted the object in question. The house across the street had a rainbow-colored flag today. Thanks!
Posted by jeff at 02:56 PM

2:42 pm - A few people passed and then I had some quality time with the bush to search. it didn't take long to fine. The log was really moldy, but signable. I left a marble I found nearby. Thanks.

(#2) Day St Park

2:25 pm - As we arrived, the local ball game just ended and kids were running everywhere. That made it easier to search and the cache was found quickly. Thanks!
Posted by jeff at 02:25 PM

Little Road in Town

2:20 pm - There wasn't any place to park so we idled while I searched for it. It took me a while to find because it was staring me in the face! Doh. TNLNSL. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 02:20 PM

(#7) Top, Middle, Bottom?

2:13 pm - It's really hard to tell from the maps where the hills are, so of course we started at the bottom. It would have been a lot easier from the top. Once there, I found it quickly. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 02:13 PM

(#6) Rest Stop on the Hill

2:07 pm - After a brisk hike up the stairs, I found this one right were I thought it should be. TNLNSL. Thanks!

Noe Cache One

1:55 pm - We searched high and low for this one, turning over every log, but couldn't spot the cache. I feel a bit better about it after reading some of the older logs.

Of course we came from the bottom which was made even more difficult by some fallen trees across the path. We left wet, dirty and tired. Next time, we'll return with a hint. Thanks.

Posted by jeff at 01:55 PM

Bucky's Bad Bounce

1:14 pm - Somehow I got a little lost in the trails here as it started to rain hard. I passed the cache a few times before I spotted it. Thankfully it was only a quick rainshower. TNLNSL. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 01:14 PM

(Son of) GlenCache

12:57 pm - I interpreted the short name of this one on my GPSr as "San Francisco" something so it took us a some time to find the right description. But by that time I had found the cache. Amazing little spot in the middle of the city. TNLNSL. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 12:57 PM

Harry's Hideout

12:42 pm - This was an easy find and quick to spot from the right angle. We were wondering if this was really these people's front door and they had to carry their groceries up and down the stairs - ouch! TNLNSL. Thanks!
Posted by jeff at 12:42 PM

(#4) Sr. Verissimma's Playground

12:33 pm - We approached from below of course and the morning's rain plus the overgrown trail got us very wet. The cache was pretty well hidden and required me to get even more wet to retreive it! TNLNSL. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 12:33 PM

(#3) Sr. Verissimma's Science Class

12:24 pm - Like the previous one, this was a lot of wandering up and down the hillside.

After checking all the obvious spots a couple times, Anne noticed it face up a few feet away. It had apparently tumbled down the hill a bit. We signed and replaced it where the camo fit. Thanks.

Posted by jeff at 12:24 PM

(#5) Steeple View

12:06 pm - This one took awhile to spot and we checked every tree until we found it in a spot we didn't expect. Nice camo. Thanks.

Mini Park Cache (Sunnyside Conservatory)

11:28 am - Man, our first cache in the city today, and we didn't find it. I'm pretty sure we looked in the right place. It looks like the area might have recently been cleaned.

Before Time

6:52 pm - I was on my way home and I thought Taxi's would make a good dinner, so I stopped by here for some takeout and a cache. The cache was a quick grab once the coast was clear. I took digitalfish #1837 only because I couldn't get the cache properly closed with it in there. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 06:52 PM

Old & New Stuff

6:35 pm - Lots of bugs, stickers and weeds here, but I eventually found the cache. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 06:35 PM

In Around the Park

5:59 pm - So I pull into a parking spot across the street from this cache. I'm about to get out of the car when I see another car approaching, so I decide to wait until they pass. Strangely they don't pass but the people in the dark Jaguar park immediately in front of me, facing the wrong direction on the street, in front of someone's driveway. Whatever. I get out of the car and I'm a few feet in the park when I hear a guy call for my attention. He asks me to move my car.

I didn't see anything wrong with where I parked, so as him if I'm blocking anything. He says I'm parking in front of his house. So? He says I can park anywhere along the street and I retort that so can he. There's nothing wrong with my parking spot. At this point calls me a jerk and tells me to move my car with no other explanation as to why other than it's 'his' spot. Of course he can't park in his driveway because that's where his two other monster SUVs are parked.

At this point I'm infuriated, but realize that no matter what I do, this guy is going to continue to be an ****** for the rest of his life and it's going to be difficult to search for a cache across the street from his house if he's screaming at me. So I told him I disagreed with him, then got in my car and drove around the block, struggling to keep myself from sideswiping his precious jag.

He was in his garage when I walked over to the park so I sat in the grass for a bit and then went for it. Thankfully I didn't have to search long. Thanks.

Grrr, I'm still steaming over that jerk though.

Please, everybody park in front of his driveway from now on.

5:14 pm - Well, we needed to stop here sometime this weekend anyway, so this was a good time. I found the cache without might difficulty but getting the log back in was a struggle. Thanks.

Twister

4:54 pm - It was great to visit the home of my favorite Mobile Phone maker! I didn't know there was still an actual McCarthy ranch left.

I was convinced of a certain kind of hide until I noticed something else not quite right. Nicely done. Somebody in a white car beeped as they passed by, perhaps another cacher? Thanks!

Posted by jeff at 04:54 PM

Proposal Point

2:28 pm - I saw this one from quite a distance away through the foliage. I think it will need some additional camo to avoid being muggled. TNLNSL. Thanks.

Rengstorff Rätsel

2:22 pm - There was a wedding going on when we arrived, so we tried not to make too much noise. We watched the bride walk down the isle. We found the cache quickly and almost got it out without using the tool. Nostrada went over and found the tool though which made it easy. TNLNSL. We waited for a break in the action to cross back over. I replaced the tool where Nostrada told me it went, but maybe it wasn't exactly right. Sorry. We did see Carl LaFong and Wonder?Woman start to search as we were heading back. Thanks.

No U-turns!

What fun is a puzzle cache without a curmudgeonly DNF log from kablooey? None, that's what I say.

There's only one physicist that I know of that has solved the puzzle. There's even a way to do it without using any math.

The point about no description of the container is well taken. I added one.

8:05 pm - I hate it when people sit in cars in cars. You often don't check there and are surprised when you see somebody feet away. I managed to get an object between me and the guy in the car so I could grab the cache and then he left when it was time to replace it. Thanks.

8:00 pm - I tried this one this morning, but there was a maintenance guy in the area so I bailed. I tried searching again tonight with the old hint but just couldn't spot it so I called a lifeline. It fits in well. TNLNSL. Thanks.

SHHH!

8:41 am - Who naps here? Must be hard to grab any zzzzs with all the geocachers coming through! It took me a while to find, but knowing the container helped. Thanks.

Hanging Out in Las Palmas

8:31 am - I made a few passes before this one caught my eye. I had time for one more before heading to work. Thanks.

Rock On

8:22 am - My GPSr was acting all wacky here, but I eventually got a lock and found the... cache. Nicely done. Thanks.

Golf Bravo Alpha

11:07 am - No one wanted to help me find the coordinates for this one. Apparently GBA does NOT stand for "Give Boulter Assistance". Eventually I ran across them.

Well, I can definitively say I haven't seen this container before. I'm glad I didn't get "caught" while signing the log - this would have been more difficult to explain than usual. Thanks.

Mominima

10:51 am - Sorry, but people have been stepping on the bushes or at least it seemed that way. It didn't take too long to find this one. TNLNSL. Thanks.

Rails to Trails #1

10:45 am - I searched and searched for this one. Finally I gave up and found it. I hate it when that happens. I'm not even sure how it was hidden, but I tried to place it back where it ended up in my hand somewhere. I got really dirty searching through these parts. Won't this cache placement be destroyed when they make it a trail? Thanks.

You're the Apple of my Eye

10:16 am - You know what's more fun than searching through ivy? Searching through wet ivy!

Some guy was streching nearby the whole time I was there, making searching a bit of a challenge. I finally got a bite of it. Pretty funny hint. Thanks.

Edith's Tote Bag

9:56 am - I tried approaching this one from the other side because my map said there was a street here. Well there is a street here, but it has a fence across it and I couldn't get through, so I had to walk in from the other way. Quick find, TNLNSL. Thanks.

Essence Of Water - Giki Tiki 2

9:49 am - Nice spot on the way from here to there. Quick find, TNLNSL. Thanks.

Here, doggy, doggy !!

9:32 am - I felt nervous searching here until I saw an Apple sticker and realized where I was. Looks like someone's been doing a lot of shopping at smalldog.com! TNLNSL. Thanks.

A, W.Y.M.M?

9:20 am - Well, I'm flattered, but I'm already married. And somehow you got my name wrong.

Anyway, this was a good time to do this one as there was no one around except for a groundskeeper. I went to the first waypoint only to find lots of beer bottles and matches lying around. After finding the first cache surprisingly quick, I trashed those out. This must happen often because after I came down, I saw the groundskeeper go up to clean.

I found the cache OK, but there was more trash and balloons around it, so I trashed them out too so the they wouldn't attract attention to the cache. There have been lots of caches in this park and for some reason they never seem to last.

TNLNSL. Thanks.

$11.25

8:59 am - I couldn't have parked much closer to this one. As I finished, it started raining really hard, but only for a short while. Thanks.

Saratoga Creek Overlook #2

8:52 am - Hooray, I didn't break this one!

As I approached a cat ran across the street. He was apparently indulging in some of the cat food left by someone.

I looked for a while before I found a geocaching sticker, which I later discovered was not really near to the cache. Strange. Thanks.

ANNP

8:40 am - There was a guy walking laps around the park so after he passed me each time I would engage in either searching, signing or replacing the cache. Thanks for another.

Words of Wisdom

8:26 am - I solved the puzzle, but I wasn't sure since I seemed to have some extra info. But I guess my coordinates were good. I found the cache quickly and moved on so I wouldn't feel too guilty caching across from this place on a Sunday morning. Thanks!
Posted by jeff at 08:26 AM

Reflexivo

8:20 am - I looked in all the other places before I found this clever cache. It was a bit wet inside. Thanks!

Who Said That?

8:10 am - As I wandered into this park, where were people all over the place doing Tai Chi. Amazingly I found the cache in the first place I looked. Thanks.

Loehmann's Plaza

8:02 am - I got a hint after my last failure on this one and found it quickly in a spot I had checked last time. Unfortunately while retrieving it I got a nasty sliver. I had to have my wife help me pull it out later. Thanks.

Let's Go to the Movies

8:00 am - I identified the movies correctly, but I found the math tedious and error prone, so I got some help with that part. Interesting container. Thanks for the cache.

Skinny Park

3:20 pm - This was an odd container. I missed it on my first couple of passes somehow. TNLNSL. Thanks.

Ratiocination

3:20 pm - I think this one is harder than a 2-star, but it's not too difficult once you get the solving method down. I had fun with it though I don't quite understand the title.

Nice little park here. Quick find. Thanks.

Orchard Farm?

3:30 am - Well, that one was quick. Thanks.

Sushi Cache

8:34 am - This one could be tough at a different time, but I only had to dodge a cleaning person. Good hide - I was thankful for the hint since you can't get good reception here. I can never pass up a Jamba Juice either, so I stopped over there afterwards. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 08:34 AM

Want fries with that?

8:22 am - There is another cache here (barely 528 feet away) and it doesn't require one to skulk around a place the general public shouldn't be.
Posted by jeff at 08:22 AM

Here Kitty Kitty Kitty

8:10 am - I'm not sure why someone would place a cache here. It's pretty inappropriate for a family-oriented sport and clearly on private property to boot.

El Granada Kids Cache

3:51 pm - We had a nice time visiting the spots for this one. Of course we followed ALL the instructions and stopped for ice cream at stage 2.

I discovered that it's very hard to search for a cache while you're eating ice cream - good thing MotorBug was done with his. TNLNSL. Thanks!

Bret and Bart's Lovin' Feeling

2:56 pm - We were trying to head around the point to get to this one, but then we saw some people going over the top, so then we discovered the trail. Really nice spot.

I saw the cache, then waited while MotorBug almost stepped on it. TNLNSL. Thanks.

Piedras Mojadas

2:20 pm - Geez, I probably wouldn't even have looked at this one if I had read the terrain and difficulty ratings. It was a calm day though and the hints helped. TNLNSL. Thanks for the walk out here.
Posted by jeff at 02:20 PM

Who would? Driftwood!

2:01 pm - Really cool carvings. Actually I didn't even see them until we were on our way back. MotorBug made quick work of this while while some muggles approached. Thanks!

I Wish Lunch Could Last Forever

12:35 pm - Nice path and a nice spot to watch the ocean. Quick find, TNLNSL. Thanks.

Still Standing

11:44 am - That's a cool old house. Anne really enjoyed seeing a New England style house out on the wrong coast. TNLNSL. Thanks.

HMB Hoosegow

11:24 am - Cool little jail. Anne stayed in the car because we weren't quite parked legally. It took us a while to find it, but it was nicely hidden.

MotorBug took my picture just in case this one hadn't been claimed as a locationless, but it has - twice!

TNLNSL. Thanks.

Totem Pole

11:20 am - Woo hoo, finally found an unclaimed totem! MotorBug took my picture at a woodwoorker's shop on the way to Half Moon Bay, CA. Thanks!
Posted by jeff at 11:20 AM

Ferrosaurus

11:14 am - I've noticed these before, but never stopped to take a closer look. Pretty cool. MotorBug made the find. Thanks!
Posted by jeff at 11:14 AM

Finnegan's Rainbow

10:57 am - Nice spot. We parked right next to a cop, but he didn't seem to care about what we were doing. That pump near the cache turned on and scared the heck out of us. TNLNSL. Thanks!
Posted by jeff at 10:57 AM

Take A Rest

10:40 am - MotorBug and I wandered around here on our way up to Half Moon Bay. My coordinates were initually pointing elsewhere, but then they straightend out. TNLNSL. Thanks.
