It looks like Mike Lowell, now with the Red Sox, is the only player in the last two years to successfully execute the hidden ball trick. He’s done it twice. I’ve got my MLB.TV subscription going, so go for it Mike! I want to see the look on that base runner’s face when he finds out he’s been duped.
We ran it in our 11 and 12 year old Little league. It was a game ending play that turned out to be quite controversial. Many parents were pissed, and the other coach totally lost it.
The question now is: Do we cave to pressure and not run it again ever, or do we stand up for the rights of the players to have fun their way, and let them run it again as soon as possible?
Thoughts???
