A 16th century cache

4:12 pm - I like the idea of the travel bug. I'd have no worries sticking it in my Mac! As for the cache, it was quick. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 04:12 PM

Turning Tides

3:55 pm - Despite the drizzle, it was quite busy here today and it was tough to get the cache back in place. I suppose that just gave us a lot of time to read the sign. Thanks!
Posted by jeff at 03:55 PM

Somewhere in Mountain View

3:15 pm - I was preparing for the worst, but this one was quite obvious once I saw it. Thanks.

Cache Across America – California

3:01 pm - Cool, I had wondered what this series was about. Nice to know that at least one of these is in my backyard! We had to walk down quite a ways and backtrack to avoid going down the steep slope. The cache is in good shape. TNLN. Thanks!

cache on board

5:20 pm - MotorBug had done this one already but wanted me to see it, so we swung by. That's a strange place. It's not really possible to be stealthy here, so I just went for it when the traffic was moving. Thanks!
Posted by jeff at 05:20 PM

thank you

5:15 pm - Yikes, MotorBug found this way too quickly. He popped it right it out. Nice job on the construction of this one.
Posted by jeff at 05:15 PM

you know the drill

4:58 pm - We noticed some people hanging around suspiciously as we approached the cache site. They looked like they were caching, but where was the GPS? It was BrainTrush and they were doing it only with maps. Impressive! They were kind enough to find the cache a minute after we arrived too. We could have been there a while. Thanks for the cache.
Posted by jeff at 04:58 PM

too easy

4:52 pm - After the last one, I looked harder than I had to on this one.

Meanwhile, some kids in the yard next door were debating what each of their "special moves" would be in whatever game they were about to play.

Thanks for the cache!

Posted by jeff at 04:52 PM

easy

4:43 pm - We went around the block once and didn't see how we we could get to this cache. We stopped in front of a strange object that MotorBug thought was some kind of clock. Upon further inspection we figured out it was a makeup stand someone was getting rid of and not an elaborate cache container.

We went for a walk and found the well-hidden entrance. We found the right area right away, but it took a while to find the cache. The misspelling in the hint was one of the things that threw me off. Thanks.

I'm Batman!

4:04 pm - MotorBug's log said it better than I could have. We waited and waited and waited. Finally she left and we found it quickly. TNLN. Thanks!
Posted by jeff at 04:04 PM

"De Plane, De Plane"

3:51 pm - The coords seemed to be a bit off here. Perhaps it was replaced in the wrong spot? An easy find regardless. MotorBug spotted it from 10 feet away. Thanks!
Posted by jeff at 03:51 PM

Traffic Jam

3:37 pm - While I'm searching for the cache, MotorBug is making gushing sounds behind me. What a nice guy! Serves him right that I found it first! TNLN. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 03:37 PM

Coyote Point 2

3:11 pm - Found this one with no problems. Thanks!
Posted by jeff at 03:11 PM

Coyote Point

3:03 pm - Boulter's rule #10 of Geocaching In the Bay Area: Never trust MotorBug's pocket queries.

This one worked in our favor since it was disabled but still there. Another one was disabled and missing!

Well I was glad to find this one since I already DNF'd it once. The log was indeed a bit soggy, but signable. Thanks!

Posted by jeff at 03:03 PM

Harbor view

2:45 pm - I found this one quickly and then MotorBug managed to stuff a travel bug inside. Warning to next finder: may explode on opening! Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 02:45 PM

In The Event of a Water Landing...

2:28 pm - Yeah, this was evil. We looked and looked for this one until MotorBug described where this could be hidden and immediately picked it up. I was relieved. Thanks!
Posted by jeff at 02:28 PM

The bus stops here?!

1:47 pm - We helped redeem MotorBug with this one. He had looked on the wrong side. Oops! I've wondered about these bus stops as well. Thanks!

Stratospheric View

12:44 pm - Hey, what's a bullit cache doing way over here? The webcam was down, so we went up to the top. Cool view. Thanks!

4:31 pm - Now that's one yummy container! Found it quickly and TNLN. Thanks!
Posted by jeff at 04:31 PM

Somewhere Smiling and Hanging On

4:22 pm - Compared to the others in this series, this one was merciful once I found the right level. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 04:22 PM

SHOEFLY

3:46 pm - Easy find - maybe too easy! I could see a muggle stumbling across this one, though it seems to be doing fine so far. TNLN. Thanks!
Posted by jeff at 03:46 PM

...with a twist

3:37 pm - Nobody was painting the fence today, so I was able to search easily. Found it after a short search. Cool container! Thanks.

Man's Best Friend's Best Friend

3:22 pm - I'm never sure what to think about this neighborhood caches. You're never sure if all the neighbors are cool with it. Thankfully I found this one quickly so it wasn't an issue. Thanks!
Posted by jeff at 03:22 PM

Here a Post There a Post

3:16 pm - That wasn't where I expected it to be. Tried a bunch of spots before I found it. I took some golf lessons here once. Thanks!
Posted by jeff at 03:16 PM

Sunnyvale

3:01 pm - I dunno, this one seems like an attempt at a commercial cache to me. I can't think of a reason to hang out here otherwise. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 03:01 PM

To the Night Bean!

2:55 pm - Quick one. I hope the neighbors are in on it!
Posted by jeff at 02:55 PM

Hotwheels

2:15 pm - This one was a nice stop on the way back to the event to pick up our cars. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 02:15 PM

Leap of Faith

2:09 pm - This one looked straightforward enough, then I opend it. Yikes! I let someone else do the "honors". We all had a laugh and left with all our digits intact. Thanks!
Posted by jeff at 02:09 PM

Our Little Corner of the World

2:03 pm - Looks like everyone found this before except for me. They all made fun of me while I struggled to find it in front of them. TNLN. Thanks.

Posted by jeff at 01:45 PM

Hyde and Ivy on the Bank of the Mighty River

1:17 pm - One by one the cachers spotted the cache and moved over to the other side of the path. I was last. TNLN. Thanks for the cache.
Posted by jeff at 01:17 PM

LGT: Pruneyard

1:01 pm - Now that wasn't very nice, especially watching us suffer. At least the hide wasn't in anywhere nasty. Thanks for the cache!

Sunnyvale Technology Museum

edited the cache description about the Klystron Tower noting that it's a Tower and not in a glass pyramid.

4:11 pm - I stayed at the Flamingo for a few days, so this was a quick stop. Not many people around here since the pool was closed. Thanks.

Light of Justice

2:11 pm - Had no problem finding this on a deserted Saturday afternoon. Thanks.
Posted by jeff at 02:11 PM

View From Poets Bridge

1:57 pm - You don't often associate poetry with Las Vegas. The area was deserted today with the exception of a few homeless people. We found it ok and continued on our walk. Thanks!
Posted by jeff at 01:57 PM

NE ON THE STRIP

1:49 pm - I had never been over to this part of Vegas before. I should come again when it's dark. I'm pretty sure I found the intended object, even if the coordinates pointed down the block a bit.

In other news, we won $10 at the Golden Nugget. Thanks for the cache!
