That still seemed a ways away, so we looked for something closer, but ended up hitting the caches on the head and then coming back later. We parked at the horse parking area.
A short way into our hike we nearly got run over by a horse. Lesson learned - do not stand between a horse and a water trough. This horse (and his rider) came gallopping towards us and we had to jump out of of the way.
The rest of the trip was less eventful, but we had to bushwhack through sharp grass at several points.
We found the cache in good shape, with everything dry inside the bags. We took the Dano Buseter TB.
We found a different trail on the way out and we found a much closer place to start at N38 20.101 W123 03.711.
Thanks for the nice walk!
