At the final location I spotted where I had to go, and searched for a while, but turned up nothing.
So, I did the next logical thing - I looked up the owner's number in the black book and called him! After some chit chat, he narrowed me down a bit and I found it in a place I didn't check throughly enough earlier.
I still don't get the hint, but I guess that's OK. Thanks!
