Ancient Aqueducts

5:18 pm - This aqueduct in Waihee Valley, (Maui, Hawaii) was built in the late 1800's to provide fresh water for the booming sugar cane fields of Central Maui. Chinese workers blasted holes through the mountain to feed the water though and constructed roads and bridges up the valley. Posted by jeff at July 25, 2004 05:18 PM
