The US had more medals won, but Canada won more gold medals. What they should be measuring is how productive each country is by population. Here&#8217;s a list of countries who won at least one medal, sorted by most productive:<\/p>\n<p><iframe width='500' height='300' frameborder='0' src='http:\/\/spreadsheets.google.com\/pub?key=tHdNgZeVDG8ACGE_ReHeXZA&#038;output=html&#038;widget=true'><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Norway won 23 medals with only 4.89 million people. That&#8217;s way above #2, Austria, with 1.93 medals per million people. Canada is 8th and the US is 20th out of 26.
