I was just looking for some historic information on Launch, because I was a pre-yahoo user, and I was recently reading an article about how Pandora was the first of its kind, simply not true. Launch not only beat Pandora to the market, but IMHO provided a better product. I always got better lay lists from launch than I get from pandora.

Just posting to say that I still miss the Launchcast.

They've "improved" Yahoo Music Canada. It looks like the only one left is Taiwan - the one hitch being I don't speak Chinese. Urk.

Probably not. I think they've gone too far to reverse course.

Apparently, Yahoo just won in court--Launchcast is not interactive, so they would only have to pay the same rate as regular radio stations.
I wonder if there is any chance they will bring back "my station?" Anyone have any insight?

Well, technically the service still works, even though the link is disabled (I know because I still have the player open before Yahoo Music Australia changed their front page. Can anyone figure out how to hack a link to the following URL?

http://radio.au.music.yahoo.com/radio/player/web2/player.asp?cid=608&iid=1&pups=2&p=0&m=0&d=0&ltw=LaunchRadioTarget&fs=undefined&enableBridgeFromRemote=undefined&sourceID=791070013#

There's now a message on the Australian site that it's is going to be "relaunched" in July. It sounds like luanchcast is less than a month from being officially dead.
