Hi Jeff,

I know this blog is a few years old, I tried the new link provided this year and it looks like Samsung may have taken it down. Any fresh links or solutions that you know of? Just got this printer from a friend who moved away. Would love to get it working with my MacBook Air.

I downloaded Samsun installer from the Australian website, I ran it, it claimed everything was successful and restarted the computer. Before running it, I deleted the Samsung-folder from the Library folder. But when I try to add the printer, 1740 is not available. Is there something I'm not getting? I got it work once on my own Mac, now I can't seem to do the same for my wife's new mac. Help!

I got my ML-1610 with MAC OS X 10.4.11 (G4 PPC) to print at least something with Nathan's link by installing it as ML-1740.. Other possibility for newer MAC OS X would be Splix drivers http://guigo.us/mac/splix/ (I couldn't get that work)

@edward, I think I'm having the same problem. Additionally, if I don't have the Samsung's queue window already open, it won't pop up automatically.
I hit print, open the queue (none pops up automatically), and see that the job is on hold. I resume the job and it says printing and the job disappears, but nothing actually prints.
I have a terrible feeling (memory?) that I will have to reset all printer settings. Anybody know if that's right?
I'm running 10.6.4.
