Mrs. niraD and I celebrated 10-10-10 with dinner and this geocaching event. Thanks for pulling everything together for this fun event, and TFTC!

GPS Adventures Maze Exhibit-Turtle Bay Park

By: Groundspeak Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

My wife and I stopped here on our way home from a group camping trip at Lake Siskiyou with others from our church, and spent the afternoon exploring the maze exhibit, finding the keyword caches hidden at Turtle Bay Park as part of the maze exhibit, and exploring a few of the other exhibits at the Turtle Bay Museum. The GPS Adventures Maze Exhibit was interesting, even though the geocaching-related information was very familiar to me. I'll keep my trackable sig token for this exhibit moving. TNLNSL, and discovered a bunch of trackables. TFTC!

Seabright Beach CITO

By: OneAngryPuppy Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen

I arrived a little late, and it took a bit of effort to find a spot along the beach that actually needed CITO, but it was great to visit with folks and to clean up the place. Discovered Skypoodle's Family Joules. TNLNSL. Mrs. niraD and I came to this event after dropping by Bud's Table and visiting the surrounding buildings at Wilder Ranch. It was good to see so many familiar faces, and many new faces as well. Mrs. niraD and I enjoyed the ice cream and the opportunity to socialize. Thanks for making it easy to donate to 50sumtin's memorial, for organizing the group purchase, and for the raffle. I also swapped geocoins and dropped my trackable sig token (the first of my latest design that I've released).

FINAL ACTIVITY EVENT

By: Venona (hosted by Bullitovsky) Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

It was great to see so many familiar faces again, and to meet so many geocachers that I knew only by name. Receiving the Order of Venona was quite an honor, and tagging along for the final puzzle was a lot of fun. WoW's Polymer Clay Workshop V

By: workerofwood Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

This was a great opportunity to start the cane for my next set of sig tokens, and I even learned a thing or two. (And you thought I wasn't paying attention...[;)]) I also enjoyed visiting with everyone, or at least with those at my end of the table and those who stayed late. Little Shop of Horrors IV

By: workerofwood Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

That was fun. I got to see some of the madness coming soon to a cache near you [:D], and I got to examine one of the ANX clue tokens. I didn't spot the clue, but I did get to examine the token. I had thought about bringing what I needed to make another container like the one in Almost Eden, but I barely had time to drop by for an hour while preparing for that evening's gimmick car rallye (I was the rallyemaster.) I will keep my trackable sig token for this event cache moving, but I won't move it very far. Thanks for an excellent event!

Puzzle and Crypto Workshop

By: The Rat Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

After attending several unevents, I finally attended an actual event cache! I will keep my trackable sig token for this event cache moving. Thanks for the new icon and TFTC! The only criticism I could have about the workshop is that it was too short. [:D] The material was very well organized and presented, and the homework examples were well chosen, and were used effectively. I also enjoyed the post-workshop conversation with everyone. It was great to see you all agai n!

Before the class, I announced a gimmick car rallye that will be later tonight. If anyone wants more info, but didn't pick up one of the fliers, the Rallye Club's web site is www.TheRallyeClub.org.
