Scout It Out

By: Little"D" Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

This cache was on my "nearest to church" list, so I dropped by. There were more than a dozen mini-muggles nearby, having a great time launching their homemade water rockets. So I waited. This is an interesting memorial. It's clearly seen better days, but it remains as a tribute to Mr. Sheridan and the investment he made in the lives of others.

Eventually, all the mini-muggles had had had 2 turns launching their homemade water rockets, and it was snack time. They all disappeared i nside and I began my search. It turned out that the first thing I checked was the cache, but I didn't check "thoroughly" enough. Eventually, I had checked everywhere else, and checked the cache one more time. I hope this camouflage doesn't lead to the real thing being damaged by overeager geocachers . TN, L my trackable sig token, SL. TFTC!

The Pizza Casa

By: geovan03 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I managed to find parking very nearby, which was surprising at the beginning of the dinner rush. I read several past logs before leaving my car, given the location. As I looked around, one thing stood out, and sure enough, it was the camouflaged cache. TN, L my trackable sig token, SL. TFTC!

ACTIVITY 1 2011

By: Venona Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

"If I have seen a little further it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants." - Isaac Newton On the way home from Alameda (where I grabbed a few quads for the BAQC), I decided to take a bit of a detour to search for this cache. Then Google Navigation took me on a bit more of a detour when I refused to turn on a road that didn't exist. But I eventually f igured out how to access the location, identified GZ, and found the cache. (I didn't measure it, but it didn't seem to be "100ml or larger" to me.) TN, L my trackable sig token, SL. Thanks to Venona for orchestrating this year's ACTIVITIES, thanks to all the GBA members who worked together to overcome the many challenges (including the puzzle for this cache), and TFTC!

Southshore TB Hotel

I visited Alameda to grab a few quads for the BAQC. This was the first, at a very pleasant spot to enjoy the summer morning on the beach. I did a bit of CITO while searching for and replacing the cache. Discovered Red Anstruther Trawler TB. I visited Alameda to grab a few quads for the BAQC. This was the second, at a very pleasant spot to enjoy the summer afternoon on the beach. The log was almost full, so I left a weatherproof log and stash note. T a polymer clay token, L foreign coins and my trackable sig token, SL. TFTC!

Just Like Mother Used to Manufacture

By: DragonsWest Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

When I ride along this frontage road, I usually take the bike lane rather than the trail because the bike lane has smoother pavement and fewer "obstacles" (aka pedestrians). But not all the "bicyclists" along this trail were traveling at high speed today... [;)] TN, L my trackable sig token, SL. TBAS #10 of 15

By: seanatron Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

This was on my "nearest to home" list, so I dropped by this evening to find it. It was indeed a quick find. I've recorded the sentence, and eventually I hope to solve the bonus mystery/puzzle cache. TN, L my trackable sig token, SL. TFTC!

Super "Ball"

By: Little"D" Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

This cache was near the top of my "nearest to church" list, so I decided to drop by to search for it this morning. Wow... you weren't kidding about this place being busy on weekday mornings. Fortunately, I didn't have to wait long for the miniature muggles and their parents to clear out, and then I found the cache quickly. I definitely like this hide location better than that of the last cache I found in this cul-de-sac. TN, L my trackable sig token, SL. TFTC!

The Walking Schoolbus

By: virtualdavid Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I was in the area this evening, and this cache was on the list of nearby caches so I decided to drop by and search for it. I spotted the hiding spot quickly, thanks to the excellent coordinates. Wow... Stanford's Escondido Village sure has changed a lot since the last time I was here! TN, L my trackable sig tokens, SL. TFTC!

Log with a Twist

By: baldmonk Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen

I was in the area this evening, and this cache was on the list of nearby caches so I decided to drop by and search for it. Wow... once again I am reminded just how effective this simple camouflage technique can be. I expanded my search radius, re-read the description, read the hint and a few logs, and restarted my search from GZ. Then I re-read the description and hint, read a bunch more logs, and restarted my search from GZ again. After more than half an hour of searching and CITO, I was about to give up when a neighbor asked if I had found it and offered to show me where it was (for a price [;)] ). I didn't have him show me where it was, but his comments reassured me that it was still there. Moments later, I found it within a few feet of GZ. I'll keep my trackable sig token for this nano-cache moving. TNLNSL, TFTC!
