The Night Has Eyes (Night Cache)

By: Baron88 Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

It was an honor being part of workerofwood's milestone adventure, but it was also a lot of fun finding this night cache. I'm glad I had a backup flashlight, because my main flashlight was malfunctioning (worked when pointed up, but not when pointed anywhere useful). But there were enough other folks with flashlights and headlamps that I easily could have gotten by without one. T Baron88's glow-in-the-dark pathtag; L a ready-to-hide micro-cache, a "pinball" toy, and my trackable sig token; SL. I also dipped the Monti - Seeker of High Altitude TB. Thanks for joining us on our nighttime adventure, and TFTC!

Trailside Sojourn

By: Baron88 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

After joining workerofwood on his assault on a nearby night cache, we stopped for a couple other caches on our way back to our cars. This was one of them. Nazgul spotted this one. TN, L my trackable sig token, SL. TFTC!

hearin shots

By: clubjackie Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

I was here for the assault on a nearby night cache, but workerofwood, our fearless leader, hadn't arrived yet, so I checked for caches near the parking area where we were meeting. This one was just a hundred feet away, so I wandered over to find it. While I fiddled with my flashlight (which worked when pointed straight up, but not when pointed anywhere useful), some of the others came over and made the find. TN, L my trackable sig token, SL. Then I left my malfunctioning flashlight in the car and switched to my backup flashlight. TFTC!

Mythbusters: Break Out The Guns!

By: PurplePeople Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

I was part of the group assault on a nearby night cache that was organized by workerofwood. Little did we know that he organized the trip so the night cache could be a milestone: his 6000th find. Since he had only 5998 finds, he needed one more find first, so we stopped for this one on the way to the start of the night cache. It took us a while, largely because we paid too much attention to the encrypted hint ("Ybbx, n ebhaq ebpx!") and not enough attention to the coordinates, which were actually very good. Downtown Campbell Walking Tour

By: Nazgul Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

This was a fun prelude to the unevent, as a bunch of geocachers wandered around downtown Campbell for almost an hour. Many faces were familiar to me, but others were new. A few of the locations were familiar to me, but most were new. TN, L my trackable sig token, SL. Thanks for showing us downtown Campbell, and TFTC!

Ex Post Cacho

By: Antfugue Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

After breakfast with a group of friends, I decided to grab a cache on the way home. This was the nearest unfound cache, so off I went... I paid too much attention to the cache name and fruitlessly checked a nearby location first. Then I checked a few other locations similar to that one, and finally I found the cache in its hiding place. TN, L my trackable sig token, SL. TFTC!

Bang Bang

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I searched the obvious location (bang bang), and then expanded my search radius and searched some more (bang bang). Hmm... this isn't supposed to be that difficult to find (bang bang). I reread the description and a bunch of logs (bang bang) and searched again, starting from ground zero (bang bang). And there it was, in the first place I had searched (bang bang). How could I have missed it the first time (bang bang)? One of these days, I'll have to come back to participate in the namesake activity (bang bang). Public Access

By: Map Geeks (adopted by vaccine) Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

As I was walking to a nearby cache, I thought that this footbridge really deserved a cache. After finding that cache, I checked for other nearby caches and discovered that this footbridge already had a cache. However, actually finding this cache was a challenge. After searching thoroughly (but fruitlessly), I stepped away from the problem to get a different perspective, and spotted the cache immediately. I could have sworn I searched there earlier... Es Effo Bug Hotel

By: bthomas Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

I dropped by after dropping off a friend at SFO. This would probably have taken me a lot longer to find if I hadn't seen the hide style a few times before. The container was wet inside, although the log was fine. I dried out the container and its contents as best I could, and CITOed some soggy, unrecognizable paper pulp. T Monti - Seeker of High Altitude TB, L my trackable sig tokens, SL. There were no other TBs in the cache at the time. TFTC!

Old Mill Cache

By: Zigity Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

This was at the top of my "nearest to church" list, so I dropped by this afternoon to find it. I remember going to the Old Mill. Actually, the cinema stayed open longer than the rest of the mall, and my wife and I saw a couple movies there before the cinema finally closed too. Anyway, the coordinates were excellent, so I found the cache quickly. There are certainly a lot of possibilities within 10 feet though. I'll keep my trackable sig token for this nano-cache moving. TNLNSL, TFTC!

Kick-Off...
