D.W. Bear

By: GraffnTrix and Parents Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Back when I worked for Sun Microsystems, one year's April Fool stunt was the introduction of the Sharks Station, which was the Winter Lodge's Zamboni machine decorated with a combination of Sun SPARCstation logos and SJ Sharks logos. CEO Scott McNealy's hockey team even played an exhibition game at the Winter Lodge against folks from the SJ Sharks. Anyway, the coordinates given by camper03 were pretty much spot on, and helped me find the well-hidden cache. After searching a while, I checked the hint and knew exactly where to search. I expanded my search radius a few feet and found the camouflaged cache seconds later. It would have taken much longer if I had not seen this camouflage style before. I'll keep my trackable sig token for this nano-cache moving. TNLNSL, TFTC!

You Can Learn A Lot From Lydia

By: Grouchosumtin Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

My wife and I came to Santa Cruz with friends, and I dropped by to find this cache. The last time I attempted it, I was looking for it a considerable distance away, because I had misinterpreted my solution. This time, I spotted the nicely hidden cache quickly, although I had to wait for an opportunity to retrieve it. There was no stash note, so I left a weatherproof one. FWGB. Smith Slough

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 5.0 Container: Small

This was the second stop on our geo-kayak tour, and another quick find. I retrieved the container for the group and signed everyone's names. When I was ready to replace the cache, I discovered that I had drifted about 100 feet. Oops... Thanks to workerofwood and REI for making this adventure possible. Swallow Hollow

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 5.0 Container: Small

This was the sixth (and final) stop on our geo-kayak tour, on our way back to the boat launch. The youngest member of the vaccine clan grabbed this one, and I signed the log for everyone. Thanks to workerofwood and REI for making this adventure possible. Without Pier

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 5.0 Container: Small

We started our geo-kayak tour by paddling around the harbor, and then paddling over to this cache site. We narrowly escaped a stampede of novice sailors on our way across the channel SMILIE and spotted this cache quickly once we reached GZ. Thanks to workerofwood and REI for making this adventure possible. TN, L my trackable sig token, SL. TFTC!

Go Cal Bears!

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 5.0 Container: Small

This was the fourth stop on our geo-kayak tour. (The third stop was an unpublished cache that we passed on our way out here.) I hope it's okay for a Stanford alum to log this cache... Thanks to workerofwood and REI for making this adventure possible. TN, L my trackable sig token, SL. TFTC!

Lots Of Juice

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 5.0 Container: Small

This was the fifth stop on our geo-kayak tour. The channel was clear, so we made it across without incident. We're getting the hang of these kayak caches. Thanks to workerofwood and REI for making this adventure possible. TN, L my trackable sig token, SL. TFTC!
