Somewhere Not To Call From

By: catomcat Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

This has to be a new speed record for me to find one of catomcat's "Somewhere" caches, since I spotted the cache almost immediately. But since I had plenty of extra time, I was able to do a little CITO. I will keep my trackable sig token for this nano-cache moving. FWGB, TNLNSL, TFTC!

Forever Green

I dropped by to grab this one before work this morning. The container was stuffed, but there was no stash note, so I left a waterproof one. Skylights Along Stevens Creek Trail

By: GoGoJo Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

[I happened to be in the area this morning, and had about an hour for an attempt at redeeming this DNF. I was almost out of time when I finally found it. Very nicely done! The camouflage is definitely evil (but in a good way), and may deserve a full 3 stars. The last time I was here, I had it in my hand and didn't recognize it for what it was. The hints seem a bit misleading though. While I could see it from the trail, and while it is within 5' horizontal distance of the asphalt trail,] it is further than 5' from the trail surface, and I had to place one foot upslope from the trail to reach the cache. Shorter geocachers may need to place both feet upslope. [I repaired the nearby woodchip slides. I will keep my trackable sig token for this nano-cache moving. TNLNSL. Thanks for the challenge, and TFTC!]

Seabright Beach CITO

By: OneAngryPuppy Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen

I arrived a little late, and it took a bit of effort to find a spot along the beach that actually needed CITO, but it was great to visit with folks and to clean up the place. Discovered Skypoodle's Family Joules. TNLNSL. I'll keep my trackable sig token for this CITO event moving. Thanks for the new icon :D and TFTC!

So many caches, So little time, event

By: British Invasion Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

Mrs. niraD and I came to this event after dropping by Bud's Table and visiting the surrounding buildings at Wilder Ranch. It was good to see so many familiar faces, and many new faces as well. And the pizza was delicious, once it arrived. :) T HH das Tor zur Welt TB and Micro Compass Rose Geocoin; L Mr.Explorer3's Police Geocaching Squad Coin, Hula Gem TB, and my trackable sig token; SL. Skylights Along Stevens Creek Trail

By: GoGoJo Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

This morning, I rode my bike over to the new Stevens Creek Trail entrance at Sleeper Avenue, and then rode to work along the trail. I found the previous "skylights" cache easily, but this one is apparently much harder. I did some CITO though. DNFWGB.

Tube It!

By: 3BBoys Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I just wanted to confirm that the posted coordinates are correct. I originally posted "more accurate" coordinates too, until I read the other logs and realized that I had been mistaken.

I'm planning to be there.

Baylands Brute Force

By: OneAngryPuppy Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

This morning, I arrived at my hypothesized ground zero, used GeoBeagle to double-check the location, and started searching. I was able to search everywhere that was consistent with the cache size and with cmilono's comment about the nature of the hide, but I still came up with nothing. I rethought the puzzle and realized that my reference points would allow another solution. A short time later, I had searched this location as well, and still come up with nothing. So I rethought the puzzle again and realized that a different set of reference points might allow yet another solution. A short time later, I had a cache in hand, and confirmed that it was the correct cache. TN, L my trackable sig tokens, SL. Thanks for the adventure in brute-forcing a puzzle, and TFTC!

Baylands Brute Force

By: OneAngryPuppy Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

DNS: I had planned to search for this one tonight, but as MotorBug pointed out, this cache is not available 24/7. I didn't realize that it gets dark so early already. It was still light when I left work, but I needed to turn on my bike lights before I reached the (hypothetical) cache location, so I had to turn back without searching for the cache.

dont forget to log this one

By: RED OCT & TJDavis Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen

I happened to be in the area this morning, so I looked for an interesting nearby cache, and chose this one. The camouflage is nicely done, although I spotted it quickly thanks to the excellent coordinates and the available hints. The bottom half inch of each log sheet was badly worn, destroying a few signatures and complicating my retrieval of the log. But the log was dry and there was no sign of earwigs or other bugs. I'm not sure why the "needs maintenance" attribute is set on this one. I'll keep my trackable sig token for this cache moving. FWGB. TNLNSL, TFTC!
