Stamp Exchange

By: E.caballus Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I dropped by this morning before work. As others have mentioned, working the math was easy enough. Thanks for the checksum though: I made a classic mistake when calculating one of the digits. But when I reached GZ, I came up with nothing. Eventually I read the hint, which matched a location I had checked, but where I hadn't found anything. I assumed that it was muggled and continued on my way. However, from reading the logs, I think this may just be a bit harder to find than most 1.5-star hides.

Sleeping Beauty

By: Rosie the Kitten & her Dad Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I dropped by this morning before work. It was a beautiful morning for a bike ride, and I enjoyed this sleepy little park. TN, L star pencil and my trackable sig token, SL. TFTC!

Almost Eden

By: mjp303 (adopted by niraD) Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

It's been too long since I spent time here. I trashed out some expired coupons and other geojunk, added a bit of swag, and started the process of updating the coordinates.

Almost Eden

By: mjp303 (adopted by niraD) Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

For the record, the garden at Almost Eden is not open 24 hours. It is open sunrise to sunset, as it says on the cache page, and as it says on the signs at the garden entrances.

Puzzled Park

By: eggzie Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I noticed that this one had popped up at the top of my "nearest to home" list, so I stopped by after work last night to get the necessary information for the first option. The numbers I got didn't quite work out (in writing email to the owner, I realized that I had used A=1 rather than A=0 when determining G), but I was sure enough of the answers that I dropped by this morning to make the find. Fortunately, I had the place mostly to myself both visits. The first option really feels more like an offset multi-cache than a puzzle. For the record, Mountain View parks and trails are open from 6:00 AM to one-half hour after sunset, not 24 hours. Counting Scheme

By: virtualdavid Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I found this in the first place I looked... once I had the correct numbers. Unfortunately, I spent quiet some time trying various counting schemes using the wrong numbers beforehand. Sigh... My research was correct, but my application of that research omitted an important factor. I will keep my trackable sig token for this nano-cache moving. Dr. Mahoney Baloney

By: DrHugAlot Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Wow! I love the camouflage on this one! I replaced the perforated ziplock bag, but I couldn't do anything about the jury-rigged lid. TN, L my trackable sig tokens, SL. TFTC!

Dead Man's Chest: Treasure Map

By: 50sumtin Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I was at the boardwalk for a company off-site, and took a break from the rides and attractions to do some geocaching. I enjoyed the location. Thanks for bringing me here! Maybe one day I can come back and do the rest of this series. TN, L my trackable sig token, SL. TFTC!

Santa Cruz Wharf

By: 50sumtin Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I was at the boardwalk for a company off-site, and took a break from the rides and attractions to do some geocaching. This was the last cache I found before catching the bus back to Mountain View. TN, L my trackable sig token, SL. TFTC!

"To Honor Surfers"

By: 50sumtin & Pink Static Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I was at the boardwalk for a company off-site, and took a break from the rides and attractions to do some geocaching. I like caches that highlight sculptures like this. Thanks for bringing me here! I'll keep my trackable sig token for this cache moving. TNLNSL, TFTC!

Summer Beach Stamp

By: Chickasaw of ynots4 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

I was at the boardwalk for a company off-site, and took a break from the rides and attractions to do some geocaching. This was my first Letterbox Hybrid. I enjoyed this variation, and I really enjoyed the location. Thanks for bringing me here! TN, L Travel Bug Catch & Release and my trackable sig token, SL. The Ear Infection

By: Sgt Stitches Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I was at the boardwalk for a company off-site, and took a break from the rides and attractions to do some geocaching. I had solved this one pretty quickly, since I've seen (unintentional) examples of this code before. TN, L my trackable sig token, SL. TFTC!

Trigger Happy

By: Mohetka Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

I noticed the DNF logs and dropped by after work to check on this one. It wasn't where it has been when I've been here before. Sorry.

Halloween = Christmas

By: xmts Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

I was already familiar with the joke, and knew how to solve this one quickly. This morning, I rode my bike over before work and found it in the second place I looked. TN, L my trackable sig token, SL. TFTC!

Cowboy, Manimal & Yankee (but not Killer)

By: xmts Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Even though I solved these colorful puzzles quickly (with Vim, my favorite text editor), they were still fun. This morning, I rode my bike over before work to grab a few solved puzzle caches. Cache of the Lake

By: Ukrainian_by_tha_bay Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

I was here this afternoon for a department off-site. After the bus dropped us off, I had a few minutes before the coaches started teaching us about paddling dragon boats, so I walked over for this quick find. The dragon boats were a lot of fun, but I'll probably be sore tomorrow... Urban Garden

By: geomagguy Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

This one is at the top of my "nearest to home" list, so I dropped by this morning since it was on the way. Given the cache location, I decrypted the hint immediately, so it was a quick find. There was no stash note, so I left a waterproof one. I will keep my trackable sig token for this nano-cache moving. TNLNSL, TFTC!

STS Mission Success

By: CaliSeaStar Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

This one has been on my "nearest to home" list for a while, and I finally dropped by to find the cache. The puzzle wasn't particularly difficult, but it was interesting. This was a beautiful morning for a bike ride before work, and I had the place to myself when I got there. TN, L my trackable sig tokens, SL. TFTC!

Caught in a Tree

By: Rocket Girl Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Other

This hide style sure seems familiar, but it wasn't caught in a net this time... SMILIE The log was completely full, but I happened to have a small scrap of waterproof paper that fit in the container, and that will provide room for a few more signatures. I will keep my trackable[/ url] sig token for this nano-cache moving. TNLNSL, TFTC!
