Hyde and Ivy on the Bank of the Mighty River

By: Dr. Jekyll Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

It was a beautiful morning along the Bank of the Mighty River, and this was a quick find. Pedestrians and cyclists really do come upon you quickly though. There was no stash note, so I left a waterproof one. I saw no sign of the Baseball Buddy TB. POP #8

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

This was a fun puzzle. I liked the way the solution ended up bringing me back to the same place I started, but with a twist. The final location brought back childhood memories, but you couldn't have known that. I replaced the torn ziplock. TN, L my trackable sig token, SL. TFTC!

SGC San Jose

By: ChrissySkyking + Blaze Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

I was in the area and had a copy of the cache description, so I dropped by. It's pretty clear that others have been searching here, and I searched as well as I could given the proximity of the bus drivers, but I didn't find it.

My Kind Of Town - Campbell

By: Thefogheads Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

The museum was officially closed today, but there were dozens of muggles having lunch here when I arrived. Apparently, a class of kids were just wrapping up a field trip. I spotted a likely location to search, but had to wait for them to leave. I got a cup of coffee and a bite to eat at a nearby establishment, and walked to the park by the library. After the kids left, I found it pretty much right where I expected it to be. There was no stash note, so I left a waterproof one. ANX: The Angle of Eternity

By: workerofwood Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

This was my 500th find, and my 100th puzzle/mystery find. Thanks for the adventure, workerofwood! Gitonyerhorse, SkaterUncle, and I met at stage 1 this morning, shortly after workerofwood had repaired it for us. Unfortunately, stage 1 needs to be repaired again, so the cache is going to stay disabled for a while longer. [:(]

We worked through stage 1 while workerofwood watched, and eventually the three of us settled on a plan and set off on our own. At stage 2, we were just starting to question whether we had the correct location when one of us noticed something. We were off to stage 3 shortly thereafter, and to stage 4 shortly after that.

Stage 4 was probably my favorite, and not just because I was the one who found it. It was a joy to hold such a well-designed "game piece" in my hands.

Stage 5 was rather exposed when we arrived. Once we read all the instructions there, we set about determining the location of the cache. That was fun in itself, and then we retrieved the cache m oments later.

We covered stage 5 a bit better than we found it, but we encountered an odd situation while replacing it. I've emailed the details to workerofwood.

By: frivlas and oneangrypuppy Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I needed a couple more finds before taking on ANX tomorrow, and I happened to be in the area and to have the info for this one handy. (A recent visit to the nearby AMC didn't afford an opportunity to go caching after all...) I reached GZ and expected one type of hide, but found this fun little hide instead. Assume Nothing #2 1/2

By: workerofwood Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I needed a couple more finds before taking on ANX tomorrow, and I happened to be in the area and to have (old) info for this one handy. Sorry; I didn't realize that this one was disabled. At least it just had a full log; the last one I looked for using old data had been muggled. I had to wait for a soccer game to end, but then I found it surprisingly quickly, given the extremely effective [}:)] camouflage technique. Wow! What a creative hide! I will drop my trackable sig token for this cache into ANX tomorrow. TNLNSL (I managed to find space), TFTC!

Historic Palo Alto (Mayfield) 4

By: Rain734 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I really enjoyed this multi-cache. Stage 1 was an interesting history lesson. At Stage 2, I had a little difficulty with the value of Y, but I kept looking until I finally found the correct pair of tiles and got the right checksum. At Stage 3, I was expecting a very familiar type of hide, but was pleasantly surprised. TN, L my trackable sig token, SL. TFTC!

The Forgotten Flying Redwoods

By: DrHugAlot Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

After fruitlessly expanding my search radius around GZ, I finally read the hint. That focused my attention, but I still came up with nothing. So I reread the cache description, which gave me a new GZ to search. Eventually I found it, after expanding my search radius some distance back towards my original GZ. Last week, I got stuck at the wrong sign for stage 2. My GPSr was telling me that I was still 20-30 feet away, and I looked for something else in the direction it was pointing, but I just didn't see it. This morning, armed with information in PurplePeople's email (and experience finding stages 3 and 5), I found the correct sign right away. Oops.
