A cache for Arbor Duo

By: Vaudesir Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I saw this one on my "nearest to home" list. Unfortunately, I was at work at the time. [:(] I solved the puzzle quickly, since I raked up plenty of these when we lived in Sunnyvale. I found the container quickly because, well, great minds think alike! [:D] (I really do need to hide some of these caches that I've been planning.) When I read the log book, I discovered that I had missed the FTF by a few hours, and that I had missed ArborDuo by a few minutes. T ArborDuo coin for my sig item collection, L Mt. Hood boo kmark, GDB stickers, seashells, and a new niraD sig token, SL. TFTC!

View From The Office Too

By: Vaudesir Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

I really enjoyed this puzzle. And as a bonus, it was nicely self-confirming when I figured out the theme. But when I checked the solution in the satellite photos, the location seemed... unlikely. An alternate solution produced a location that looked... not quite as unlikely. Email to the owner confirmed that the first solution was indeed correct. I found a nice ammo box full of goodies, but I didn't really care for the location. Of the latin thing

By: Vaudesir Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

After shopping at a nearby store, my wife and I walked over so I could show her this cache. The cache has migrated a few inches from where I originally found it, but is otherwise fine.

Almost Eden

By: mjp303 (adopted by niraD) Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Last month, I accepted mjp303's invitation to adopt this cache, which was one of the first ones I found on my own. Today, I finally replaced the missing container. I apologize for the delay; I had to switch to "Plan B" because "Plan A" required seasonal products that are no longer available locally. The new container is in the same location as the previous one, but it's larger (about 60 in³) and camouflaged. I have updated the size and difficulty accordingly. I also updated the terrain, since the location is not wheelchair accessible.

Please help keep the TBs moving.

Hey, Jude...

By: Vaudesir Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

At first, I tried to decrypt the coordinates on my own, but I quickly decided to use an appropriate tool instead. Finding the tool and using it was fairly straightforward, and the find itself was easy. I'm familiar with this location, since I've been trying to figure out how to put a camouflaged regular-sized cache here for a while. Oh well--ya' snooze, ya' lose... I put my sig token for this cache in the next cache I found, since there was no room for it in this nano cache.

This was an easy find, and a nice location. But even at 6:30pm, it was still awfully hot today. Stairway to the Bay

By: vaccine Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

This was a quick find while I took a break from searching for a nearby tribute to evil hides. I enjoyed the location while eating dinner, then went back to find the other one. Half the attachment mechanism has come off. Bad Dog!

By: vaccine Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I spent quite a while looking for this one unsuccessfully. Along the way, I picked up a couple bags of trash, read the hint, expanded my search radius, and found a few instances of what I expected the cache to look like (except they were all genuine, rather than camouflage for a cache). Finally, I gave up and found a nearby cache. Afterwards, I reread this cache's description, returned to GZ, looked around for the best place for an evil hide, and found it fairly quickly. I was the first to sign the replacement log. I left my sig token for this nano cache in th e next cache with enough room that I found, since it wouldn't fit here. Patricia Wharton Park #2

By: Billspursuit Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I dropped by after the unevent at Mountain Mike's. I checked the entire park for a common cache type (assuming the coordinates were unreliable), then I went back to my car for my Palm. While I was rereading the cache description, shadow101 drove up. He walked right up to GZ, looked around, and found the cache. Then he backed off and let me find it. This is the first container of this type that I've found (although I've checked for them a few times, only to find the cache elsewhere). TN, L seashell and niraD sig token, SL. TFTC!

in R.P.

By: Bob & Elliecat Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

It took me longer than it should have to expand my search radius. It looks like some of the container plants near the hide location are suffering needlessly. TN, L seashell and niraD sig token, SL. TFTC!

"open 24hrs" or "Smell the Coffee"

By: Bob & Elliecat Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

The coordinates were very good. The tape holding the stash note to the outside of the container came loose, so I put the stash note inside. The container doesn't look waterproof; I'm not sure how it will stand up to the rain. And I don't really get the hint, which seems to indicate a point about 100' away from the cache. Coyote Point

By: mjp303 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I decided to do a little geocaching after a company picnic in Coyote Point Park. I searched for this one fruitlessly, read the hint, and searched some more. The location is beautiful though. Thanks for bringing me here, even though I didn't get to admire the camouflage on this cache.

Bus Bench Bogaloo #5

By: southbayday Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I walked down to the bus stop tonight, since this cache is just down the street from my home. It was a quick find. I'm glad I decrypted the hint with c1ph3r after finding the cache, rather than by hand after a fruitless search. Of the latin thing

By: Vaudesir Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I bet there will be more muggle activity when the Latin "thing" opens next month. (You wouldn't be a fan of cryptic crosswords, would you?) Anyway, this was showing up on my "nearest to home" list, so I picked it up tonight. I left my sig token for this nano cache in the next cache I found, since there was no room for it here. TNLNSL, TFTC!

Ryder Park Trail

By: bodster Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

I've admired this bridge when driving past Ryder Park, and tonight I finally found its cache on the way home from a company picnic at Coyote Point Park. (Okay, so it was a bit of a detour... SMILIE) The creek area can use some more CITO help. TN, L seashell and niraD sig token, SL. TFTC!

Through the Looking Glass

By: dgreno Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Not chosen

Completing multi-caches without a GPSr is a challenge. Fortunately, one stage of this virtual multi-cache is easy to find, and the other is near enough to a nearby traditional cache that I could pace it out. But in the end, I managed to complete it in a single trip, without returning home for another look at Google's satellite maps. I left my sig token for this virtual cache in the next cache I found.

Cyanocitta Cristata

By: cyan_blue Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I DNFed the last couple caches that I searched for after dark, so I was glad I could find this one without too much difficulty. The container doesn't seem to be waterproof. Also, I replaced the perforated ziplock. A 16th century cache

By: Vaudesir Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

This one was showing up on the first page of my "nearest to home" list, so I picked it up on the way home tonight. I left my sig token for this nano cache in the next cache I found, since there wasn't room for it here. The log is torn, so it may need replacing before it's full. TNLNSL, TFTC!

Key Rings

By: crimestopper Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I'm glad this was a quick find. The location was pretty trashy and there's only so much CITO one person can do. But this cache's waypoint did help me find one stage of a nearby virtual multi-cache, since I don't have a GPSr yet. The container and most of the key rings are rusting. T Johnny Vegas & Julie with Santa Cache button, L Oregon Coast bookmark and niraD sig token, SL. TFTC!

Secret Shoreline

By: workerofwood Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

This was a surprisingly quick find on the way to work (the only time I'd be nearby during this cache's hours of availability). Approching the cache location, I picked up some litter that might be typical of a muggled regular-size cache, but then recalled that this is a micro-size cache. When I got to the cache location, it was the first place I checked. Very impressive construction! TN, L niraD sig token, SL. TFTC!
