Clem's Walk Su Doku

By: The Bramblers Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Cool puzzle [8D] Mike got the info and solved the su doku and Jess joined him on the walk to find the cache. You know sometimes you walk into a field and you look around the perimeter for the footpath signs? "I wonder where the footpath is" you wonder nice and loudly in case the land owner is nearby, perhaps including a hand to the forehead to show you are looking... Yeah, no chance of not knowing where the footpath is on this walk [:D] TFTC [:D]

Red Sauce or Brown?

By: brew-a-cache Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

Great idea for a puzzle. [:D] Another that was solved ages ago and not picked up. Finally we had the chance today. We wondered if the CO lived close by and looked out for twitching curtains [;)] TFTC [:D]

Merefield Pocket Park

By: brew-a-cache Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Glad my A level came in handy for this puzzle. Solved ages ago but we hadn't got around to finding the cache yet so we set off again today. We must have a gazillion 'looks' on your see-who-viewed-this-cache audit because we typed the coords into the notes section and keep promising to go to pick up the cache! As we arrived at GZ we laughed at the many options but resolutely set about checking the correct one and missing the cache, then checking every other option before returning to the correct place again (isn't that just typical!) for a quick find. Riddle me this, Riddle me that

By: pirate1883 (Adopted by The Allotment Gardener Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

Well, we visited in the summer and had a right old time climbing and hunting, delving and burrowing but no cache to be found. A PAF was needed and we got the hint we needed about a month ago. Why, then did it take us this long to actually go and complete the hunt? No-one knows. By the way, we still ended up looking in all the wrong places again anyway!!! The cache was found eventually in a place we had already looked. We disturbed a family of small furry rodents so I hope they are happy with how we swiftly replaced things for them. TFTC [:D]

Blank Kit Box

By: firemountain24 Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

Woohoo! Jess solved a puzzle! *proud* Not normally adept at puzzles... at all. [:I]

Anyway, as soon as she saw this puzzle she had a good old go, but realised it was harder than she thought. She tried the next night and followed so very many tangents trying to find a lead. Did you know that there is an exchange box (?) at the publish ed coords on Google Street View with a yellow coloured square on the side of it? [:O] I kid you not. Firemountain24 was not giving anything away, and rightly so, so Mike and Jess bounced more ideas around but got nowhere. Jess even asked TAG if he had a clue and they explored a few avenues online bu t they all were dead ends.

Then Jess screwed her big head firmly on and announced that she would try solving the coordinates like huge algebraic formulae... [V] EPIC fail!!!

Thank goodness Firemountain24 published a second clue. SMILIE

A couple more dead ends and a little more twisting of ideas an d Jess spotted something. She stuffed the info into the formula and didn't even check her calculations *excited, lol* properly before checking it out on geochecker.

Well, she had spent so much time on this one that she just couldn't leave it and proudly told Mike and insisted that they go out and find it. Luckily Mike was as up for it as she was and they headed out into the night. Mike is better at finds so he did the honours at GZ while Jess got spooked by an approaching car (ghost car) that killed its lights and disappeared into thin air.

Clean log book =

Thanks for the prize and thanks for the cache SMILIE

Zebra Fix

By: Helen of TheBramblers Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Wow, that was a toughie! We looked at this one for ages with no clue whatsoever. Thankfully the radio was tuned into Nudge FM and we got started on stage one. We headed off to the final location without the coords but had committed the googlemap image to memory and the find was easy! This puzzle really had us going for a long while, very tricky! Thanks for the fun cache [:D]

Secret Squares

By: Lord_Blackadder Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

Do you live here Lord Blackadder? [:I] It seemed like we were on private property! We had a bit of a hunt once at GZ but only for a few minutes, nice puzzle SMILIE TFTC [:D].

She Epitomised This

By: Fluffy's Revenge Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Well now, that was clever :) Jess spotted the solution but didn't 'see' the solution. She spent far too much time enjoying Google Streetview! I hope I haven't said too much. We chuckled over The Art Angell's log which we remembered when walking back from the find. The cache was guarded by two muggles today; one slow-walking rambler (more of a meanderer) and one even slower-walking dog walker. At one point we even had to walk off with the cache as there was no way of replacing. Still, we did and it is safe and exactly as described. TFTC [:D]

From A to B

By: firemountain24 Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Jess needed a little guidance on the puzzle as she was convinced it was more complicated than it is! Hey ho, coords found and Mike and Jess set off with the GPS. A man was sitting at GZ reading a book even though it was very, very cold. Odd!

Puddled Ken Ken

By: TheBramblers Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Worked out the correct coords last night after sitting on the wrong coords for a long time! Popped by after work to find the cache which was exactly where I thought it was going to be. Cool spot. TFT brain workout and TFTC [:D]

Cheeping and Chirping

By: Merlin-K Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen

Joined forces with TAG and SCFurniss to discover what this chirping business is all about. Very clever! We liked this one, thanks for setting it. Lovely to see you TAG and SCFurniss [:D]

On a pleasant afternoon we walked around for a little while before picking up the chirp. Carol interpreted the chirp clue straight away and TAG spotted the cache container and went to get it. Jess would never have been able to get to this one on her own! W ell, she'd have had a good go!

Interesting set up with the container (clever [;)]), cache and the film canister. We almost thought it was the cache but had read the description so left it alone.

Nice hide, TFTC [:D]

Excellent. So much effort had gone into this excellent bonus cache. The clues, the coffin and it's amazing effects and the life-size ending - fantastic! Thanks for sending us on this adventure [:D] Adding another favourite point to the pot!

Tunnel Rat

We worked out the puzzle a while ago and thought we'd save it for the upcoming Halloween event. Glad we did as it was a spooky place to visit! TFTP & TFTC [:D]

By: SCFurniss Difficulty: 4.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

I've been looking at this puzzle for ages and going in all sorts of directions. The wrong ones though [:D] It had me stumped for a long, long while. Eventually I resorted to a PAF from the CO who gave a tiny hint.. which turned out to be just enought to set me on the right track. Phew! Thanks SCFurniss, for setting the cache, creating a great puzzle and our early morning walk in the sunshine. [:D]

The Clairvoyant

By: ac-p Difficulty: 5.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

The last person signed the log "Yay!" We signed it "Double Yay!" [:D] A great puzzle (that had me going for ages!) and what a lovely place. Thank you for bringing us here. TFTC [:D]

Eggs and Bacon

By: Lorri-Ann & Kev Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen

The GPS took us to the right place but we took ages to find the cache. It seems it was disguised as a snail SMILIE Thanks for the puzzle - one I could solve!

Film Buff

By: Burning Buff Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Hehe, good puzzle. We had a couple of the films, a thorough internet search gave the answer to one or two more. The last variable was tested with the help of a coordinate plotter until a suitable hide was found. Enjoyed this one! Thanks [:D]
