Ichthyosaurs

By: JugglingJill Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 4.5 Container: Micro

Today Mike and Jess pelted up the steps as if they were full of Go Go Gadget juice, followed the GPS faithfully to GZ and patiently ignored it whilst it pointed its little compass arrow over the edge of the cliff. "Must be the trees" they muttered and proceeded to look in obvious hiding spots instead. Note to future cachers: If you discover a couple of very old and large discarded bottles then you have gone too close to the edge of the cliff. Back off! We enjoyed this cache, thanks! [:D]

No47

By: WilArchMS Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

This was not in the place we thought it was going to be but we saw it from a way away when we relooked. Nice spot, not too muggly if you time it right SMILIE Resisted the shopping from the ever glamorous No.47 - Jess loves that shop! TFTC [:D]

Makka Pakka's cache

By: Tortoiseshell Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Found with some mini cachers today who did a great job of looking for the clue. The cache is now very, very exposed - the camo is now almost completely peeled off and the holes are exposed. I hope it is rescued before it disappears, it is in a nice spot SMILIE TFTC [:D]

Sambucus in front of the Fraxinus

By: korkyfoss Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Uh oh, Firemountain24 has shown me his photo and yes the cache has gone. I did avoid all passers by and I definitely wasn't seen doing anything suspicious at GZ so I am sure that I wasn't muggled, but as I was last there I can only apologize. It was a great hide; I hope it gets replaced.

Motorway Mayhem M4 J36 - Molly Shops !!!!

By: mollyjak Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

We found this one during rush hour so there was a lot lot lot of traffic. Waited for, before we went for the cache, a group of lads to amble on down the road with an inflatable rubgy ball that must have been five feet wide. One of the more bizarre sights of the day, we admit... TFTC [:D]

[:D][:D][:D][:D] [:D] FTF [:D] [:D][:D][:D][:D] Interesting! I wonder how many people whizz past these milestones and never even realise what they are.

Daventry Mile Stone #1

By: chillypenguin Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

[:D][:D][:D][:D] [:D] FTF [:D] [:D][:D][:D][:D] I was in danger of being muggled by a slow walking lady with her dogs so I loitered and waited for her to move on. She did, only to turn around and weave her way back again after disappearing around the corner only for a second! Blimey. Cue more loitering and fiddling with my phone. Finally she le ft and I could retrieve the cache that I could see from where I was standing.

A nice easy find, thanks. It just occurred to me that this one or the Mile Stone #2 would be an apt named cache for an GC milestone. Hmm, should have saved it for our 900th! I'll bet someone else saves it for a milestone one day.

By: firemountain24 Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

[:D][:D][:D][:D] [:D] FTF [:D] [:D][:D][:D][:D] I used the hint for this one as a family of muggles were hot on my heels. A quick find, a fumbling sign and replace and I was back on the footpath before they could think I was any more odd than they probably already thought.

[:D][:D][:D][:D] [:D] FTF [:D] [:D][:D][:D][:D] My GPS took me to completely the wrong place so I wasted a good few minutes here. I should have trusted my instinct as the cache was in the perfect spot.

Nice sized cache, good hide.

If I'd stuck around for a minute or two I would have bumped into SCFurniss who were nearby. Saw them later thoug h!

Kislingbury FC - Rock Solid Support

By: firemountain24 Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen

[:D][:D][:D][:D] [:D] FTF [:D] [:D][:D][:D][:D] I sat out the family of muggles and waved them on their merry way so that I could concentrate on the area. This one had me scratching my head, I can tell you. I looked in the *** and under the ***, behind each *** and even through the ***. The GPS kept on giving me a ridiculous reading so I didn't pay it enough attention. I should have because it was right! A sneaky hide, sir. I hope cachers that follow hide it as well as you did because you found a great spot.

As I replaced the cache I saw two figures stop off by "Under the Crossbar" so waited for them to catch up to say hello. Hurrah! It' s the lovely SCFurniss fresh from a FTF on the "Welcome to Northampton" cache and out for a Sunday stroll so we stopped and had a good old chat in the sunshine. Lovely to see you both again, see you again very soon, hopefully!

Just got home and I look like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards! So glad that Brackmills was quiet today and nobody saw [:I]

I spent a long time at this one, mostly battling with brambles, I've got to admit. It's like they were intent on wrapping themselves into every inch of m y hair that they could. A couple of branches also decided that my sunglasses would suit the tree better and whipped them off my head. Having crept and crawled my way through to every place I could imagine that the CO would think of to hide the cache I was amazed when I found it where I did. How funn y [:D] and how very sneaky!

Looked for the cache for a good long while in the obvious spots and sent the CO a text to check I really was in the right area as my GPS was acting drunk again due to the trees.

Well that was fun! After checking with the CO if I was on the right track solving the puzzle I set up a spreadsheet to find what I was looking for as info on the net varied so much.
