Woohoo! Found it SMILIE Had a little help from a friend which was very gratefully received. Couldn't quite believe what the GPS was telling us and when we saw the cache we were immensely impressed. Very clever indeed.

REALLY SideTracked - Blisworth

By: Merlin-K Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Nitrogen Lawrencium

By: firemountain24 Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

Hooray! I took the right A level in sixth form after all!

Thanks for the puzzle (I usually avoid them but recognised a few things in this one) and the cache. Also the scramble; always a fun thing.

Bexter's first hide cache and dash?

By: Bexter666 Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Other

Spotted some cachers-in-a-car at GZ so I didn't attempt to hide what I was up to. Hoped they would give me a hint as to where the cache was but no such luck! Lovely people though [:D] nice to meet you! Had a good old look; high, low, in front, behind, inside, outside, under and then just for fun a good climb skywards. Eventually I found it in one of the first places I looked! A very sneaky hide [;)]

FM Five Ways

By: firemountain24 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Wow! Saw this place from at least 1/4 of a mile away. Wondered about whether I should go for it with the threat of clouds but they were just showers. TFTC! [:D]

FM Mind The Gap

By: firemountain24 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Lucky it was an easy one because I spent more time here looking at the enormous raincloud heading straight towards me than I did looking for the cache! TNLNSL TFTC [:D]

FM The Trailer

By: firemountain24 Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Not chosen

I love interesting caches. [;)] This was such a cool place! As I approached I thought "now where would I hide a cache that would be a difficulty rating 4...?" A few minutes look around and there it was. Fab! [:D]

Then I was interrupted by a (probably friendly, lets be honest), dog who picked up my fear of dribbling, growling do gs and proceeded to dribble, growl and bark at me. I had to yell for help and the owner came to my rescue when I screamed [:O]. If Mike had been with me (Jess speaking) then I'm sure it wouldn't have been scary but oh my lord my heart was pounding! Thought I was going to lose a limb! Huge thanks to the owner who was very nice.

TFTC [:D]

FM Brixworth View

By: firemountain24 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

This one was really easy. I was on the phone to Mike whilst I trundled along. I said to him "I wonder where the next one is. It must be close. Oh!". And there it was! TFTC [:D]

FM Brampton Hill Crossing

By: firemountain24 Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen

Yucky! The rain was pounding down by now and so the Garmin was tucked away safely. In a feeble raincoat I checked every place I could think of (well, nearly!) whilst becoming more and more cold and wet. I did meet a friendly furry friend who obviously lives in the hedge I was furtling around in though, so there was a bright moment! [^]

He told me where the cache was. OK he didn't; he went back to his living room. I found it on my own.

TFTC [:D]

FM Jacks Lane

By: firemountain24 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Couldn't hunt as there were lots of muggles. Who (other than cachers) wants to go out walking on a rainy day?! OK showery but nevertheless. Note because:

There has been a huge clean up here - new fences, weeds gone and lots and lots of sawdust around. Considering the hint could this be a danger?

FM Over The Hedge

By: firemountain24 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen

Apparently it is a great film. Have you seen it? TFTC [:D]

FM Take Shelter

By: firemountain24 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Woohoo! I worked out a puzzle! I'm usually rubbish beyond comparison at the puzzle caches so tonight, Matthew, I shall be Immensely Proud.

Thanks for the puzzle and for the cache. With the terrain rating and experience of your 'I Scream' cache I was expecting something quite different but I can't begin t o tell you how delighted I was to spot the cache. *grin*

Bex & Jax's Firs trail- From little acorns.....

By: Bexter666 and Jackie68 Difficulty: 5.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen

I'll be honest. I was feeling heavy-hearted; the ants were getting to me (man, there are billions!), and the lack of reception on the GPS was stupid and having found only one cache in the woods so far I was turning to go back home. I noticed there was a difficulty 5 on the list so I headed up to this corner thinking 'it can't hurt - so many DNFs - one fail and then home...' Luckily, finding this one really boosted my caching spirit and off I skipped to find some more in the woods. Happy days [8D] TFTS (Thanks for the sneaky)

Well Mike was working in the area today so Jess set to decoding the coordinates. It took her hours and hours! Jeepers! With an effort like that it would be foolish not to send Mike out to hunt for the cache now, even if only for a 35mm pot. This one earns our award for the cache that took us by far the longest to do. Driving past this the other day, my heart sank as I realised a nano on a huge metal structure was going to be impossible to find. Imagine my delight when I spotted it within minutes. Don't slip up at Delapre!

By: The Mad Hatters Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 4.0 Container: Micro

We were looking for a special way to mark our 500th find and this was perfect. The rain clouds parted for just enough time for us to get to GZ, search around the trees and scramble up and down. Mike knew exactly which tree is was but Jess insisted on climbing the wrong one anyway. We searched for about 10 minutes before we used some logic and spotted it. A silly photo shoot, a quick retrieve, sign and replace. It's great when the replacement is just as much fun as the retrieve [:D] Thank you very much for placing this cache. Great fun! M & J [:D]

The Mucky Pond

By: BiShCa Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

So... found with the help of the clue. We were just signing the log when a couple of dogs came bounding along and we though 'uh-oh, a muggle will follow - act natural!' "You've found The Mucky Pond!" came the shout. "Er, yes" we replied and the very friendly CO introduced himself. Lovely to meet you BiShCa. Thank you for setting this set of caches here we would never have come here otherwise and it was a real find. See you again soon!

What a great wood to place a series around! Fabulous, thank you CO. Although vehicles are allowed we walked the route and quickly decided that we wouldn't recommend it for cars. A Range Rover powered on past us at one point but I guess that's what it was built for! We would totally recommend visiting the wood on foot though - a real Olde English treasure full of Ash, Oak and Maple. Oh, and puddles [:D] Nice easy one to start with. Mike set to the iwork and looked back through the previous logs and found a clue just as Jess found the cache. She got an unexpected shower as she retrieved it too! It must have rained last night. Oh man. Whilst we are on the subject of wrestling with undergrowth, who beefed up the local stinging nettle power? They are seriously pumped and practically lethal at the moment. It is now hours after I found this one and my legs still feel like they've been attacked by jellyfish. Perhaps they have. Invisible dry-land jellyfish that live in nettle patches near to caches.
