Turnover bridge

By: Silver-Fox and Vixey Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Came here especially as I had a canal boat travel bug to drop off near water. What a beautiful place! I got snap happy with my camera (which I have recently found acts as an excellent cover for when muggles are around!), taking lots of pictures of bridge and boats until time got the better of me and I remembered why I was there. Didn't have a GPS on me so I used a bit of cahcer's instinct and walked straight to the cache. Brilliant. TFTC! [:D]

Bridge 9 - Swan Valley View

By: The Allotment Gardener Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Definitely a high muggle concentration zone. Pretty place though. Coordinates told us to look in the middle of the road so we ignored them and looked where we thought it should be. And there it was. TFTC! [:D]

Bridge 6 - M1

By: The Allotment Gardener Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen

Jess worked out where the cache was from home so she and Mike headed over to prove her theory. Excellent.

Bridge 4 - Double Arch

By: The Allotment Gardener Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Mike concentrated on searching whilst Jess concentratated on creating lovely photographs on this fabulously sunny day [^] TFTC [:D]

Bridge 3 - The Weakling

By: The Allotment Gardener Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Stopped off for a picnic by the canal [^] on a lovely sunny day. A quick grab and sign and we were on our way. TFTC [:D]

Well I was in B & Q today so couldn't leave this one out! However the log was full so found a small gap to sign. TFTC

Treasure Island

By: Scott Cache Seekers Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

Got the coords last week... drew a map... looked on completely the wrong side of where I should have been. [:I] Came back today to find a funky cache container!

Just Northamptonshire #004

By: The Allotment Gardener Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Not sure where I could park for this one so found a spot 0.5 mile from the cache and walked it, only to find I could have parked about 2 feet away from it, still...nice day for a walk! TFTC

Motorway Mayhem: M4 Leigh Delamere W

By: The Odyssians Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

So over the bridge we trotted. Looking over the site we saw a virtually empty car park with three cars up at one end and people milling around them. "Hope that's not where the cache is" we said. Oh yes.

Who drives their family in three cars to a motorway services, parks up, pulls a giant gas bottle out and an enormous cooking pot? Anyway... yes they had chosen the spot next to the cache.

Attemping to be inconspicuous was futile so Jess created a (probably ridiculous and embarrassing) d istraction whilst Mike did the deed.

Nice quick find. Boy did we have to be quick. What a very busy road! TFTC [:D]

Magic Roundabout

By: Geist3 & Gemini Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Quick park up at Maccy D's and a stroll over to the GZ. We then went for the cache and found a handy path... after taking the harder route through the trees. TNLNSL TFTC SMILIE

Vale ring #2 (Mast view)

By: Soljerboy Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

There was a great view of the mast just down the road too so we nearly looked in the wrong place :) There was a good view of the airport too. TFTC! [:D]

Vale ring # 1 (Poleaxed)

By: Soljerboy Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

We found the cache on the floor but placed it where we thought it may have come from. TFTC! SMILIE

Vale ring # 6 (Bog Off)

By: Soljerboy Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Laughing at the fact that Fandance's wife is SO going to find out he was out yesterday! Anyway, easy find. Log slightly damp but OK.

Vale ring # 4 (watch this)

By: Soljerboy Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

This one was very, very obvious so tried to hide it again as naturally as we could. Great cache though. A surprisingly busy road so we had to be quick! Took coin onwards. TFTC! [:D]

Vale ring # 11 (Ivy long here 2)

By: Soljerboy Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Slight people may need a crane for this one :) Very obvious where the cache was as we arrived so a nice easy find. Took Arabian coin onwards. TFTC [:D]

Vale ring # 10 (stop & wait)

By: Soljerboy Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Well we worked out precisely where it was going to be from the clue. When we arrived we had a good old chuckle over the frequency of the services. We only know of one place in the world with fewer! Anyway, good hide. TFTC [:D]

Vale ring # 9 (Water way to be)

By: Soljerboy Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

So off we waded into the nettles and the mud... no need was there? Far easier than we thought it was going to be :) TFTC [:D]

Vale ring # 7 (Bullet)

By: Soljerboy Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

This one looks like it will become tricky to retrieve the log from the cache soon. We signed and left the book as much in the neck as possible for the next cachers. From here we went to go to #8 Stylish Cowshed but it really looked like the farmer did not want us here so we gave up trying to find a footpath. It turned out that #8 was much more eaily reached from another driveway further down the road anyway. Happy days. TFTC [:D]

Vale ring # 3 (Ivy long here)

By: Soljerboy Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

Very creative [:D] Made us both smile! TFTC

Vale ring # 5 (M.O.A.T)

By: Soljerboy Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Large

Is this a cache or a caravan? It's huge! Loved the creativity that led us in, too. Took the canalboat TB onwards (to a canal probably!) TFTC [:D]

Vale ring #8 (Stylish Cowshed)

By: Soljerboy Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

Mike looked in exactly the same spot that Jess did and saw what she was not able to see. TFTC [:D]

Tiger Bay Girl Was Here

By: Write and Mane Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

Well we had to agree to come back later to this one after searching high and low for too long. Whilst in town Jess worked out the clue, Mike said "really?", then promptly found the cache as soon as we got back to the church. He always gets the good ones! Good on the vicar for being in on this one. TNLNSL TFTC SMILIE

Goldfinger Revisited

By: 2202 adopted by The Gecko's Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Great clue, led us straight to the cache. Trickiest bit was all the muggles but they didn't take a blind bit of notice. TFTC! SMILIE

Jess wandered around looking confused whilst Mike went straight to the cache. Easy find for him! TFTC SMILIE

Cardiff Bay Panorama

By: David H. Jones & Pat Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

This took some finding even though we were on the right track from the instant we got there. Cue many confused expressions and a "reckon we should give up?" or two. Luckily Jess was stubborn and decided to search in the same places but harder. Nice for a break from the wind [:D] TFTC!

Southernmost Point of Cardiff

By: David H. Jones & Pat Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

The nano blends in perfectly so a great little hide. The fishermen were having a good old stare so we had to be careful but managed to retrieve and sign. Great spot!

Handi Cache #1

By: Scott Cache Seekers Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Popped by after a little retail therapy to find this cache is closely overlooked by people at tables staring straight at the GZ. Very tricky to get without looking suspicious! Cue much fake-chatting-on-the-phone-whilst-dithering-around-next-to-a-fence. TFTC SMILIE

Hardingstone Trail No 3: Tie a yellow ribbon

By: Hardingstone Hunters Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

What a wally, going out caching without GPS or a map. Still, you carry on anyway don't you? Luckily I had read this listing at work 2 hours previously and committed the location to memory. The clue stayed in my mind too and was pretty jolly obvious when I got to where I thought it would be.

A quick rummage around and there was the perfect spot to drop off two coins I had just brought ba ck from Cyprus.

TFTC!

By the way, the sudden rain showers and the warm sun had released all kinds of yummy smells from the elderflowers near here. A real treat SMILIE

Surrounded by sunbathing muggles... who completely ignored us. How very strange. Picked up a TB that doesn't seem to be logged yet. Hope I can fix it [8)] Have wanted to find this cache ever since when I started planning our trip to Cyprus.

A Dam good view

By: Koniagal Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Ew! Just read curiousman's post. We didn't see that hanging up but we did see our own real live snake - about a metre long... black... and incredibly fast. Luckliy it used it's speed to get as far away from us as it could. Found the cache where we thought it would be, signed and took a photo and scarpered out of there as fast as we could. Great views from on top of the Dam afterwards. TFTC!

Hermes # 2

By: red dragon 13 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Log was full so we couldn't sign, but we took a photo for proof for Red Dragon 13 should it be needed. Luckily a muggle-free day but we could see how it might be a tricky one to do. Nice and straightforward cache, thanks very much SMILIE
