I decided to stroll all the way around the lake, and this made a nice break half-way around. Thanks!

I was expecting to read some directions on how to get to the cache, but I looked around and sure enough it was hiding nearby. Thanks!

We had a company picnic today in History Park, so I checked out the nearby geocaches. This was the closest, so after ice cream, dclendenin and I wandered over. He found it earlier in the day, but humored me while I repeated his earlier efforts. Thanks!

The starting point was closest to where I parked for my hike in the baylands so I started with this cache. I followed the directions OK, but initially made the first turn in the wrong direction. No problem locating the final. Thanks!

Protechcc was first to spot this one on a beautiful December morning. Thanks!

I agree with OAP that the final clue is ambiguous since the reservoir has two sides. I found the cache in the second area I searched. Thanks!

I didn't spot any tag near the start of the trail, so I headed down, looking for tags. I spotted the cache before I found any tags, then saw one tag on my way out. Well, that was a little different anyway. Thanks!

My brother elliottpd and I were caching around SF today, and I put this cache on our agenda. This is certainly a unique spot, and we enjoyed our visit. Thanks for setting this up!

We are camped at Seacliff for the weekend, and I headed north for a caching tour this morning. The directions worked out great for me, and the seating was great for signing and picking the next destination. Thanks!

Motorbug and I were hiking up the trail in the opposite direction today, and I followed the instructions in backward order. I was surprised to see all the newts in the water, swimming around like fish. I didn't realize they spent that much time in the water.

This was our first visit to Fall Creek, and it was a great day for a hike. This cache was our first stop, and we had no trouble following the directions to the cache, although that is a Douglas Fir, not a redwood near the cache. I took Mr Hopsalot TB and left Gollum TB. Gollum wants to head to New Zealand, but I figured this forest was fair approximation. I also left Bytemobile turtle #132.

The cammo certainly worked for me. I missed the cache on the first and second pass. I left the Swiss Bell travel bug I picked up in Cheesequake State Park in New Jersey earlier this week and left turtle #87.

I did the poem in the logbook option. It reflects my mood at the time, which was not great. I had wet feet from a river crossing, and a growling stomach. I started off on the the wrong little trail on the wrong side of the road, but eventually figured it all out. Thanks!

I was speed reading the cache description on my Palm as I walked around, and was having a hard time finding the cache. I finally figured out I was reading "Don't Take the Stamp". Once I got things straightened out, it was a quick find. Thanks!

I told Mrs. Bytemobile that I would be back at Sea Cliff by noon, and that hour was rapidly approaching. From Spring Trail, I hiked up through the grass to the UCSC road (and picked up three ticks), got to the trailhead, and headed back down to the rock ovens, where I had been earlier (it pays to read the caches ahead of time and do some planning). Found the cache about the third or fourth place I looked, and made it back by 1 pm. Thanks!

Thanks for the intro to Letterboxing. It's nice to have GPS backup, though. On the way back I said hello to Semi-hex and Nurse Dave who were at the first stop.
