Monty is everywhere!

By: Montyp76 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I was out for an early morning hike from the Hampton Inn, and made a quick stop here. Thanks!

VENOM

By: jademaria Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I like a little surprises with my caching. Thanks!

Monty was there!

By: Montyp76 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Seems like the industrial park could use a few new tenants. This was the furthest point in my hike today. Thanks!

Let the good times roll

By: COpackrat Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

I was out for a hike from the Hampton Inn down Shaffer Parkway, and wondered if I could return via the C-470 trail. I hiked through the gated community, down a wooden walkway across the golf cart path, and there was an unlocked gate to the trail! This was the first cache I found on my way back. Thanks!

Nerdy Brainiacs, We Salute You Part 1

By: cgund Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Continuing on from my hike from the Hampton Inn. There seem to be plenty of caches to make the hike interesting. Thanks!

BANANA SPLIT

By: jademaria Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I got out for a morning walk from the Hampton Inn, and this was my first stop. My hand found it on the second swipe. Thanks!

Annie's Friend

By: R & KB Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Virtual

We were killing a little time after the Coors tour and before our niece's wedding. There were lots of paragliders flying around as we went up the hill. There were a couple skateboarders headed down the road with helmet-mounted cameras. Thanks!

I LOVE PARIS # 3

By: jademaria Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I usually go after caches on hikes or bike rides. Today, I was hiking around the area near my hotel before my wife got out of bed. Thanks!

Kaiser Roll

By: rmagnojudd Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen

Neat little container. Thanks!

Brick House

By: KLVOOR Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I was staying in the nearby Hampton Inn, and got out for an early morning stroll. The coordinates worked out great for me. Thanks!

This COULD Be a Field Of Dreams

By: jademaria Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Nice work on making this one. The log came out without too much trouble. Thanks!

Neener neener nano

By: Greasepot Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

The coordinates worked out well for me. I was out early from the Hampton Inn, and it was a bit chilly. Got the log out and signed without too much grief. Thanks!

Mondo's On Every Corner #57

By: mondou2 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Hiking around and caching a bit was my amusement while waiting for my wife to get up and about this morning. Thanks!

SHOCKING # 6

By: jademaria Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Ah, something interesting for a change. Thanks!

Jack and Jill

By: BrokenZen and Tumbling Cow Pie Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 4.0 Container: Small

While reading from my GPSr, a guy came by and asked if I was a scientist. I told him no, I was just out for a hike. He said he was 80, so he was doing well to be tramping about out here. I wanted to redeem myself from my previous DNF, so made the climb again. This time, I looked about more thoroughly, and found the cache. Thanks!

When I Fell For You

By: DragonsWest Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

My favorite kind of cache. I like to spend more time hiking than finding. Thanks!

The Green Hills of Earth

By: DragonsWest Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

The container is partly burned, with a hole in the bottom, but the top is fine and the log is just a bit damp. Thanks!

Babe, The Blue Ox

By: DarkEvilZenPie Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

This was a quick stop since there not a lot of places the cache could be. The day was turning out to be pretty nice. Thanks!

Hitchin' Yer Wagon

By: Wilder Duo Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

I decided to take a vacation day and do some hiking in Wilder. This was the first stop, about 8 am. Thanks!

Paul Bunyan

By: DarkEvilZenPie Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

I wandered around a bit, not believing the GPS, but it proved to be fairly close, and I grabbed the cache after a second look. Thanks!

The Enchanted Forest

By: mayela mingi Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

This truly is an enchanted forest that is so different from the other parts of Wilder. The cache hadn't been disturbed for a while, so the forest and time had supplied some cammo. My GPS wasn't close, so the nice description helped immensely. Thanks!

Wilder Park 'n Grab

By: DragonsWest Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Micro

I didn't even have my bike to park. I would have had some trouble on some of the trails today, but there were stretches where it would have been nice. Thanks!

The High Chaparral

By: DragonsWest Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

I took a vacation day and got here a little after 8 am. I was hoping to just grab a cache near the trail, and be on my way. After a little looking and a little reading of the previous log, I finally waded into the brush and found it. Thanks!

Gateway to Wilder State Park

By: DragonsWest Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I skipped this on the way in because I wasn't paying attention to the GPSr yet. Thanks!

Hang 'Em High-2

By: DarkEvilZenPie Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

This cache needs a few more finders to beat down the poison oak. I spotted the cache, then had to work at it a bit to get it back into a reasonable state. After a few more trips through the PO, I left it in a good state for the next finder. Thanks!

Fee Fi Fo Fum

By: DarkZen Beanstalk Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

I managed to scamper up the beanstalk without too much trouble and found the cache after looking a couple places. Thanks!

...Met a Pie-man!

By: Her Pieness ECP and ZenPie Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

I looked in a couple hollows and spotted what looked like the side of a snake. I touched it with one of my hiking sticks, and sure enough! When I found the right hollow, I poked around a bit before reaching in. Thanks!

TWIN OAKS OVERLOOK

By: DarkZen Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

The overlook was pretty nice today, with just the marine layer obscuring the Monterey Penninsula. Thanks!

On The Wild Side

By: mayela mingi Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

Wow, they are serious about our not stepping on a beetle. I wonder how many beetle lives they have saved. Thanks!

Mom and Dads Meadow

By: iwikepie + Super Pig (Team Pig Pie) Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

Odd that it has been so many months since the last find. There seems to be plenty of trail traffic by here. Thanks!

Wilder Ranch Backcountry

By: DarkZen Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

When I got here just before noon, a couple cyclists were taking a break a short distance away. I decided to claim a table and eat my little snack. They were soon gone and I soon had the cache. Thanks!

Christmas In Wilder

By: iwikepie Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

Maybe lightning, maybe just a fire that came though here many years ago. Thanks!

A Shady Oak on Spike Jones

By: WERDAVE Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

This wasn't directly on my route, but it was early in the day and the distance and elevation difference was small enough to make the cut. Thanks!

R- weRdave

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

I thought the downed trees looked like some sort of crashed aircraft from a distance. Thanks!

Donnelly's Stop

By: Caskethead + vcgirl Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

Well I circled around a couple times, then tried on the other side of the trail with immediate success. The find was much easier than I was trying to make it. Thanks!

The Tree That's Seen Better Days

By: Coe Tree Huggers Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

Caches are always good for taking a break and catching one's breath. Thanks!

Mossy, Weathered Stump

By: WERDAVE Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Not chosen

This trail was evidently designed for horses and bicycles. I didn't mind the long shallow slopes so much since I was saving my legs for later in the day. Thanks!

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

Interesting trail along the creek back here. Thanks!

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

This one took a few minutes. I had to flick off another tick or two after getting back on the trail. Thanks!

Once Upon a Pond

By: Caskethead + vcgirl Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

After zeroing out, I stopped and read about the cache, then turned around and found it. Thanks!

The "Easy" Way to Steer Ridge

By: WERDAVE Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

I got started a little after 8 am, and it was pretty chilly this morning. I ended up keeping my gloves on until 10:30. Thanks!

E - werdavE

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

Interesting container. I haven't seen one of these before. Thanks!

Watch Out For Serpents

By: Geokashers Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Small

This trail is well-named. Lots of serpentine near the top. Thanks!

Willson Peak

By: alpharomero.com Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

The views were pretty great up here today, and it is definitely the time of year to be hiking up here. Thanks!

Cross Mossy Logs (or maybe Limbs)

By: WERDAVE Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Small

The trails were deserted today except here. I met two people on horseback, leading another horse. I made this my last cache since I wanted to get home. Thanks!

D - werDave

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

I saw a couple ticks on my jeans here. I flicked them off and was much more vigilant for the rest of the hike. Thanks!

V - werdaVe

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

I passed this one by and my 62s didn't beep since it was off trail. I had to backtrack a few hundred yards once I check the GPSr. Thanks!

Jim Donnelly

By: conrad95037 Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

You learn something new every day. I didn't know Idaho had a gold rush. Thanks!

Big Oak with a Big "Wound"

By: WERDAVE Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

The hint worked well for me, and I had the cache in hand shortly after reading it. Thanks!

Two Fallen Trees, but Where are the Stumps?

By: WERDAVE Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

Spotting the caches went well so far. I hate to spend a lot of time looking rather than hiking, particularly after I have caught my breath from hiking. Thanks!

W- Werdave

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

I took over three hours getting back here, so this was beginning to look like over a six hour hike. Thanks!

Willson Peak Trail

By: alpharomero.com Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Micro

A nice hint made for a quick find here. Thanks!
