Guarding Lake Mayer

By: TipTopTommy & Goody adopted by Nurse 1 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

I was expecting to see a plaque somewhere about the statue, then I read the hint and continued on. The weather was quite nice today in the shade. Thanks!

Foul Ball

By: Dakmaster27 & Brandon123 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I hiked around the park today and this one made for a quick find. Thanks!

savannah cache one

By: kevparks45 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Certainly a unique container. I found a shady spot nearby, signed the log and had a look at my GPSr for the area to head to next. Thanks!

Beware the Fish, Hawks, and Fish Hawks!

By: Johann Panholtz Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

I decided to stroll all the way around the lake, and this made a nice break half-way around. Thanks!

Trail Dog Geocache ~ Skidaway Island State Park

By: Penny & Chaos Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Virtual

Well the Day Pass fee is now up to $5, but that is still less than most California State Parks. I enjoyed the hike through the woods and even saw a raccoon on the way. Email sent. Thanks!

Savannah Cedar

By: 2 Old Hippies Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Other

I spotted the cache after a little look-around. I haven't seen one quite like this before. Thanks!

Pine Solve II

By: 2 Old Hippies Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Other

I have one of these sitting in my geocaching box of goodies. Someday I made deploy it. I spotted it after a short walk-around. Thanks!

Johnny Mercer's Swan Song

By: Johann Panholtz Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

As an out-of-town visitor, I was looking for a nice hike and a few geocaches. These trails and woods were just what I was looking for. Thanks!

Miss Julia's Choice

By: Johann Panholtz Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

As a pool owner and father of a lawyer, I know an attractive nuisance when I see one. This sixty-year-old gave in to the attraction and soon signed the log. Thanks!

Indigo

By: 2 Old Hippies Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

I was expecting to read some directions on how to get to the cache, but I looked around and sure enough it was hiding nearby. Thanks!

Bridge Over The Quagmire

By: 2 Old Hippies Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

This was a nice stop on my hike around the woods. Thanks!

The Marsh

By: 2 Old Hippies Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Other

I was kind of sweaty after my jaunt through the woods, but decided to hike out here for one last find. Thanks for a fun one!

Uncle Mike's DNF

By: 2 Old Hippies Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Excellent hide! I wonder how long this one will last. Thanks!

Savannah Liar's Cache

By: Nurse 1 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

This was my first Georgia cache. The weather was just like my hometown in the San Francisco Bay Area -- pleasant temperature and low humidity. I dropped off the Tanks - a lot! travel bug which seems appropriate close to Hunter AAF. Thanks!

Where's the Fire?

By: Nurse 1 Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

Another innovative hid by the CO. I drove downtown to have my first look at Savannah and took a hike around a few squares. Thanks!

"Nessie's" Challenge

By: Nurse 1 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

This was definitely the first cache I have seen that worked quite like that. Kudos to the CO! Thanks!

PLL - 34 Years of Faithful Service

By: Gunguy & TheoryofBen Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

My career is 37 years so far. Hope to last a few more years. Thanks!

kevs camo cache

By: kevparks45 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Certainly a unique cache. I suppose a cache must be sturdy to survive in a place like this. Thanks!

LA BOXERIA

By: Big Eagle Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

I skipped this the first time by since I heard voices heading up the trail, but found it after a brief search on the way back. Thanks!

Obama's Outhouse - Northbound

By: fosterkc Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

This was my second find on my wife's iPhone. I didn't have caches in this area loaded on my Garmin, so it was nice to be able to see what was here. Thanks!

Y between the Y's?

By: lifesajrny Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

I didn't see an obvious hiding spot, so I read the hint and was a bit dismayed. My Garmin 62s does a good job on the cache descriptions, hints, and previous logs, but I don't think it stores images in the cache descriptions. I had another look around, and the cache was not that hard to find without the spoiler image. Thanks!

Below the Falls

By: chaosmanor Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

I initially went a little past this, but came back and the hint clicked. Thanks!

The Beginning

By: TOHiker Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

We were in a hurry to get hiking yesterday and missed this. I was a little more thorough today. Thanks!

La Jolla Wash

By: Don_J Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Micro

I skipped this on the hike out because some hikers were coming up behind me, but found it quickly on the way back. Thanks!

LA JOLLY

By: Big Eagle Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

I don't remember seeing this cache on the GPSr on the hike out, but found it quickly on the way back. I signed quickly since I heard voices coming up the trail. Thanks!

La Jolla Rocks

By: lifesajrny Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

I skipped this on the hike out because I thought I would need to squeeze past some poison oak, but I read the hint on the way back and found it quickly and poison oak free. Thanks!

Lion House Cache & TB Rest Stop

By: SLO Trekker Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Large

This was my first find using my wife's i-Phone. I didn't have the caches loaded for this area, but we stopped here for lunch, and I decided to see what was here. The travel bug hotel was nicely maintained and had lots of goodies, but I didn't partake and just signed the log. Thanks!

LA HOYA HIDER

By: Big Eagle Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

There were lots of folks on the trail today, so I signed quickly and was on my way. Thanks!

Going "All In"

By: Granto Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

This cache was another in the series that led us along a less-used trail and made our hike into a loop. Thanks!

Coming Around the Far Turn

By: chaosmanor Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

My son spotted this one first. I was following the GPSr and was off in the bushes. Thanks!

The Remains of Eeeww Zoo

By: lifesajrny Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

I spotted a line of caches that looked like a quick way down, so we started following them. Thanks!

Beginning to Start

By: fastflyer Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

My son drove down from Camarillo this morning to meet me for a little hike. This is the first one we found up the trail. Thanks!

Ocean Pacific

By: K and K Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

The ocean views were pretty nice from this trail, but the marine layer kept us from seeing any islands. Thanks!

The Great Sand Dune

By: InsideVC Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Micro

Hmmm. One mile from a parking area sounded good. We were parked at the Ray Miller trailhead, but were turning our hike into a loop. Thanks!

Ray Miller Trail

By: Mountain Cat Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

It was a pretty nice day to be hiking up this trail. We took off our sweatshirts at about this point. Thanks!

Not on State Park Property

By: gsmx2 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I was meeting my son here about 7 am for a hike, and I decided to get an early start on finding a few caches. Thanks!

"Camp 45"

By: Mitch, Mrs. Mitch & The Matthew Henson Hunter Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

We just happen to pick site 45 to park our trailer for the weekend. I was up before 7 am to go for a hike, and came over here for my first find. Thanks!

Lunchtime Quickie for Max

By: lifesajrny Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

We met some hikers on the trail near here. I thought the trail was fairly busy for a Friday, but it was nowhere near the Saturday crowd. Thanks!

Nowhere To Hide

By: Geokashers Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Micro

Well the area wasn't exactly barren. The excellent coordinates made this a quick find. Thanks!

It's Not The Dam's Fault

By: Geokashers Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Micro

You definitely have to pay attention to the GPSr up here. The trails are faint and may not go where you want to go. Thanks!

Outcrop

By: Geokashers Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

Spotted this one quickly. Thanks!

Bully For Us!

By: Seek2FindMe & StarPop Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Small

I missed this one on the first pass, read the hint, and found it right away. Good hint!

Coyote Valley View

By: dpsmedic (maintained by RKOwen) Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Regular

The view is pretty nice up here, no matter what direction you look. Thanks!

GK * 1K FTF Log * HA!

By: Team 43 * No Pass Cache! Difficulty: 4.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

This cache gives me an idea for cleaning out my garage. I just have to make a lot of caches. SMILIE Thanks!

Painted Rock

By: goodlife Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Micro

I not sure about the best route in here, but I didn't take it. I also didn't take the best route out. This was my last cache of the day however, and I got back to my car relatively quickly. Thanks!

the crevasse

By: xr100cmoney Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

On the fly, I was trying to chart the optimal path through all the geocaches up here. It pays to figure in the terrain as well. Thanks!

Not a Lick of Sense

By: RKOwen Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

The day was pretty nice for hiking. The overcast kept it cool and there wasn't much mud. Thanks!

Geocacher's Toolbox

By: goodlife Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Large

I'm not big on searching, so it was nice to have something easy to spot. It must have been a strange sight to hike with that though. Thanks!

GK * Bison Tube * HA!

By: Team 43 * No Pass Cache! Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Micro

My first ever find of a bison tube of that sort. Thanks!

A Stump Along A Trail

By: Geokashers Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Micro

This was a quick grab on the way back. Thanks!

Pinecone Graveyard

By: Geokashers Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Micro

The coordinates were great, but I missed it on the first pass. Found it on the second pass when I looked a little closer. Thanks!

Happy New Year 2011!

By: Geokashers Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

Saw a plastic tub nearby. Maybe it was for icing down a few beers for New Years? Thanks!

A Multiple Lake View

By: Geokashers Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

Even though it was overcast today, the lake view was pretty nice. Thanks!

Mare's Great Log

By: Valoha Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Small

A trail started not far from the BuckingFirds cache, and it was the easy way here. I was surprised to see horseshoe prints in the dried mud. It seems like part of the trail would be hard to ride. Thanks!

GK * Clear Signal * HA!

By: Team 43 * No Pass Cache! Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Micro

I trudged up the hill from Mare's Great Log and started into the caches up here. This one was certainly a unique container. Thanks!

"We're All Gonna Die!"

By: Geokashers Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Micro

The only cows I saw today were on the other side of the lake. Cows land well below poison oak and rattlesnakes on my list of things to avoid while hiking, but they are quite large creatures. See the snake evidence I came across a little later in this hike.

Coyote Valley and Anderson Lake View Tour

By: Geokashers Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Micro

The structure was indeed a curiosity. I would have come over to look at it, even without the cache incentive. Thanks for the tour!

Breaking Wind

By: Geokashers Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

Lugging a big ammo box out here must have been quite a chore, but it was nice to find. A few prickly weeds are trying to take over the place. Thanks!

Which Tree Goes With The Stump?

By: Geokashers Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Micro

I missed this one on the first look around, but found it quickly after reading the hint. Thanks!

GK Rocks! * HA!

By: Team 43 * No Pass Cache! Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Small

The "camo" on the container has come unglued, but it sits there just fine, and the container is in good shape. Thanks!

How's It Hanging?

By: Geokashers Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Not chosen

I found this quickly, for a type of hide that I usually have trouble with. Thanks!

Fallen Giants

By: bricon Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

Spotted the unnatural laying of sticks quickly. Thanks!

A BuckingFirds Prickly Pine Cone Cache

By: Geokashers and BuckingFirds Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Small

I had a Digger pine in my backyard many years until I finally had it cut down. The big pine cones made quite a crash when they hit the cement patio after falling 50 - 60 feet. Two huge branches fell across my neighbors yard in one storm. Fortunately, they didn't do much damage. Thanks!

GK * Eagle View * HA!

By: Team 43 * No Pass Cache! Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

This cache is a masterpiece. I think it could even pass in a local park, at least until a gardener had a closer look. Thanks!

xr100's oak by the lake

By: xr100cmoney Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 4.0 Container: Small

I followed the shoreline around, then the trail sort of disappeared. I think the easy way to do this one is with a boat. Anyway, it was an interesting hike, exploring alternate routes to avoid the poison oak. This was my first of the day. Thanks!

GK * Snooze? Lose! * HA!

By: Team 43 * No Pass Cache! Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

Interesting "camo" on the container. I haven't been trading much lately, so I passed on the goodies and just signed the log. Thanks!
