Squaron Leader "Space Cadet Perrin"

By: Garbo & DolphinStar9 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

The horizontal rain today was not great for caching, but I had a few minutes and this was easy enough. Thanks!

Viridian Vertical View

By: BlueMoth Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

I was hiking around in the rain and decided to go for this one since it was close to my route. Thanks for the view!

Chapman's Swifts

By: Rose Red and Dancing Penguin Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Other

Rain started coming down while I read the signs and computed, so I probably looked pretty silly out there. The o-ring seems to be doing the job on the cache. Thanks!

For the Birds

By: jock Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

I hiked up the Lower Macleay Trail and couldn't resist heading across the road for this one and a few more. I had no idea how muddy the trails would be though, and that it would start raining a bit harder. Thanks!

~LIKE A RAINBOW IN THE DARK~

By: GuybrushMegaton Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

I was more into hiking than searching today, so I used the straight-forward hint and went straight for the cache. Thanks!

Zen Cache

By: pjscout Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I was not into a lot of searching on this rainy day, so I was happy to see this one in plain sight. Thanks!

The Hunt @ Witch's Castle Returns

By: Hopalong & HobbleAlong Cachedy Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

This was a nice hiking multi with a cool structure to visit along the way. The creek was roaring and it was a bit muddy today. I was dressed for the weather and enjoyed the hike. Thanks!

Forest Tracks

By: TheFinleys Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

My GPS was a bit off. I think it must have been the rain. I found the cache, though using the excellent hint. Thanks!

South Waterfront - Elizabeth Caruthers Park

By: PhantomTech Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I was traveling the 4T trail today, and had just come down the tram. I decided to look for a couple caches and have some lunch at the nearby cafe before riding the trolley back to downtown. The log is full on both sides. Thanks!

Geosilly's old hangout

By: geosilly Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

I had an open day today and decided to travel the 4T trail, starting from downtown. I took the MAX out here, and decided to grab this one after visiting the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. No problems finding it, and I was surprised at the log, which was in great shape and had a quite a number of entries. Thanks!

The CK Cache

By: Chris and Kenzie Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

This is remarkably close to the final for a nearby multi. Of course I didn't know this when I was finding this one and spent a lot of time hiking up and down the hill. This one was pretty straight-forward. Thanks!

Tower Music-Go-Round II

By: Hopalong & HobbleAlong Cachedy Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

I happened upon the plaques with the needed information by accident rather than planning, but I eventually found all the data, sat down and did some computing, and found the final without much problem. There were some low clouds that hampered visibility, but other than that it was a good day up here. Thanks!

Council Crest Cache

By: Brad, Chad, Joel and Paula Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

I like to go the extra mile for a really old cache, and I went it for this one. I learned out of necessity how to setup my Garmin to project waypoints using magnetic rather than true north (it makes a big difference at 185 meters!). I hiked up and down the hill a couple times, but finally got everything right. Thanks!

Weird Oregon: Worship, Fortune or Chinese?

By: SparksSeekers Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Other

The streets were busy for the Shamrock Run this morning, despite the rain. It took me a while to unroll the log, sign, and reassemble it, but I eventually got it all together. Thanks!

One For the Little People

By: bazzle Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

My hotel room doesn't face the street, so I was surprised by all the people this morning who were out for the Shamrock run. It was also drizzling, so they were a bunch of very hardy souls. I stood around in the rain gathering and computing, and headed down the crowded sidewalk to the final. Thanks!

U.N.C.L.E. Med

By: LiefPhotos Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Other

It took less than five minutes to reach the final, but signing and reassembling took a while. Thanks!

Work Commenced (Stealth Required)

By: glorieme Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Mrs. Bytemobile and I were hiking back to The Nines from Powell's, and made a quick stop for this one. My fingers weren't doing the job, but one of my keys worked perfectly to pull out the cache. I wasn't very stealthy, but acting like I had something to hide would have been more suspicious. I was surprised to be the first to sign a brand new log that was easy to remove. Thanks!

Grateful Dead series extra - For The DeadHeads

By: Grateful Cacher Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I was visiting the two nearby yarn shops with Mrs. Bytemobile, and took a moment to find this one. Thanks!

Urban Wildlife

By: Trivial Pursuits Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

I am staying with Mrs. Bytemobile at The Nines for a conference, and some of the points of interest are right across the street. We visited the Portland Art Museum yesterday and picked up a few more points of interest along the way. I found the last couple points this morning and the cache. Thanks for a nice downtown tour!

Santa Anita Park Cache

By: Mudford Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

I took a little walk after work. At first, I was trying to make this too hard, then came across it. Thanks!

Expo Farm

By: Hynr 47and47 Teachermom Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

This was just the right distance for a little hike before the sun set. Thanks!
