Once a Spur

By: TeamSpider3 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

This is an interesting spot and deserves a cache. Not much traffic here on a Sunday morning. I took a Bob's 94 Jeep button and left Bytemobile turtle #42.

Flickenger Duex

By: GeoBrowns Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

To make my afternoon complete, I needed a GeoBrowns find, and this fit the bill nicely. The park was pretty busy with a couple picnics going on, but I found the cache quickly and didn't attract any attention. Thanks!

Pinewood Post

By: TeamSpider3 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I parked in front, found the cache, then headed back to the air conditioned comfort of my vehicle. Thanks!

Brooktree

By: DuckeyLee and Rocket Girl Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I zeroed right in on the right area, but it still took a couple times around to spot it. Thanks!

Frito-Lay Passageway

By: yungman Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

There was no one around on a Sunday morning, and that made it easier to find the clever cache. Thanks!

Once a Road

By: TeamSpider3 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

This hide works surprisingly well. I didn't spot it until I was right on top of it. I left Bytemobile turtle #43.

Once a Fence

By: TeamSpider3 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I parked below, hiked up the little hill, and the cache hiding spot was the first thing I was drawn to. Thanks!

Morning Run #3 - Hydrogen Warning

By: Kenny162 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Micro

I wasn't sure where to park, but I started near Tasman, pulled out my bike, and made a loop from there. Thanks!

Morning Run #2 - Levee Oasis

By: Kenny162 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

This was the third stop for me on a loop that began at Tasman. I left Bytemobile turtle #41.

Morning Run #1 - Creek Trolley

By: Kenny162 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

This was my second stop. I wasn't sure how to get over there as I approached, but it turned out to be easy. Thanks!

Off Target

By: Rocket Girl and Duckeylee Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I parked next to it to give myself a little privacy. After looking things over, I decided where it must be and made the grab. Thanks!

Target Too

By: Rocket Girl and DuckeyLee Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I was not expecting this from Rocket Girl and DuckeyLee. I got lucky, though, and found it by feel in my second swipe around the area. Thanks!

In Around the Park

By: Kenny162 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I enjoyed the artwork, then plunked down and found the cache. Thanks!

Tea for Four

By: payakoi Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I'm not much of a tea drinker, but it looks like a nice place. Thanks!

How Dry I am

By: Team feline Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

The cache is relatively exposed, but it still took me a while to spot it. I left Bytemobile turtle #44.

Ginger Peach

By: Tonton-Ca Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

This was a quick stop and an easy find on a Sunday morning tour of N. San Jose / Milpitas. Thanks!

"Media"

By: Tonton-Ca Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

I recently discovered that our weekly pickup of yard waste specifically excludes debris from this kind of tree -- I'm not sure why, other than they are a little rough on the fingers. I left Bytemobile turtle #45.

Milpitas Station

By: Stacy & Jerry; Adopted by cachbefound Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

My GPSr seemed to be erratic here, and took me around in circles, but I finally located the cache. Several race fans were headed to the station as I looked for the cache.

Mondo's Bug Hotel

By: Mondou2 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

I was in Denver on a short business trip, and convinced my co-worker to make a quick stop before checking in at the hotel. Unfortunately, I left the travel bug I was planning to bring at home, along with my flashlight. Finding the cache was a little tricking using the car headlights, but we finally found it. TNLNSL. Thanks!

800

By: Thefogheads Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I parked on the street and made this a very short bike ride since I was short on time this morning. I left Bytemobile turtle #40. Thanks!

can-hank-erous

By: halhal Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I stopped by early on a Sunday morning. I guess the one just down the path from here must be archived. Thanks!

What? No Cache!

By: summerandnana Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I had a good look around, but couldn't spot anything that drew my attention.

Jul 23, 2005

Happy Birthday Joani!

By: mfc61 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Found with the GeoDiamonds as we were leaving the birthday bash. It was conveniently on the way to our car. Thanks!

July Birthday Bash

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

We had a great time and enjoyed some great food.

John Franks Park

By: 50sumtin Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

This is not your ordinary micro. It is a work of art by a craftsman. I enjoyed it!

Santa Cruz Mission Plaza II

By: 50sumtin Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I was on the 50sumtin Santa Cruz tour this afternoon, and stopped by for this one. I don't think I have been in this neighborhood before. I left Bytemobile turtle #35. Thanks!

Carbonera Creek Cache

By: 50sumtin Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

I had just found my first 50sumtin cache at John Franks Park, so I had an idea what to expect. I didn't go looking for trolls, but found the cache fairly quickly after the muggles cleared out. Thanks!

Benchmark 941 3745 TIDAL 4

By: 50sumtin Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I didn't spend any quarters on parking. I was in a large vehicle, and I just parked a ways away in a free spot and hiked up. I managed to spot the cache before the benchmark. Thanks!

Santa Cruz Natural History Museum

By: 50sumtin Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I came by in the early afternoon, but nobody was back here, so I was able to do a thorough search and came up with it after a short search. Thanks!

Neo Lodato

By: Tabby of ynots4 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

I had a bad time of it on this one. According to my GPSr I seemed to be within about 60 feet of the cache and I figured that the inaccuracy was due to the tree cover and hillsides. I searched for at least a half hour, then finally headed up a little trail and spotted another trail, parallel to the trail I had been on, just further up the hillside. Once I was on the right trail, the cache was a piece of cake. I left Bytemobile turtle #36. Thanks!

Top of the Incline

By: Kealia Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

After stopping by to see the troll, and hiking out to Pancakes, I rode my bike to the bottom of the incline. I pushed my bike up the incline once before, and decided to park it this time and hike up. (Wouldn't Bottom of the Incline have made just as good a cache?) Anyway, I made it up, found the cache, then the mosquitos jumped me. I made my trades in a hurry. I left Bytemobile turtle #34 and a 2005 Yosemite key ring that I bought in the Yosemite general store. I took one of the two travel bugs and the 2005 Santa Cruz County Geocachers coin. Thanks for the workout!

Nisene Troll

By: Sgt Stitches and Lt Happy Camper Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

I parked at 8 am and rode here shortly after. I locked my bike to the bench for the hike out to Pancakes. Left Bytemobile turtle #32. Thanks!

Benchmark Q 1455

By: 50sumtin Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I decided to make one last stop on my 50sumtin tour before heading over the hill. I don't think I have been on Disk Drive before. Thanks!

Withrow Park

By: The Saints Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I stopped by after a bike ride and hike in Nissene Marks this morning. I took out my PB & J sandwich and had a bit of lunch before finding the cache. Thanks!

"To Honor Surfers"

By: 50sumtin & Pink Static Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

There were certainly lots of folks here this afternoon, but this one is easy to grab without attracting much attention. Not a bad day to be caching along the coast!

Where's the Pancakes?

By: < FONT COLOR="RED" > < B > Kealia < /B > < /F Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

I was just a short way up the Bridge Creek trail when a couple knuckleheads on mountain bikes came up behind me. I asked where they were going, and they said they were headed to Sand Point Overlook. I suggested they would have a better time of it on the road, and explained that it was just a short way back and over the bridge. I also said that bikes weren't allowed on this trail. That seemed to seal the deal. They said they would file that away for next time, and headed on up the trail. I was hoping for a nice hike and a Kealia shot glass, but it turns out I only got the nice hike. Magnolia Queen and Nico were by on July 9 and traded for the shot glass. They were nice enough to write all about it in the log.

I don't believe the JunglePete travel bug was in the cache.

I was ab le to get some GPSr reception as I approached the site, and at the site I had a reading of about 100 feet away, but that matters little. As other finders have said, you can leave the GPSr in the car for this one.

The hike was not too bad. I parked at 8 am, left my bike with the troll, and was her e a little after 9 am.

Digital Fortress

By: Sgt Stitches Difficulty: 4.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I came over the hill for a hike at Nissene Marks today, but brought along a couple other things to do before heading back over the hill. This is not a bad place to be on a warm day. Thanks for the puzzle!

Beauty of Waterfalls

By: GeoTrout & AngelEyes76 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Virtual

I hiked out to Maple Falls, which is deep into Nissene Marks State Park. The trail is quite beautiful as it heads through the redwoods and cris-crosses Bridge Creek.

Echo Lodato

By: Team Crush Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

This was certainly an easy hike from the Neo Lodato cache. I had a bad time of it searching for the cache, though. After going up and down the hillside and into the bushes, I finally read the past logs on my Palm, plugged in budd-rdc's coordinates, and headed for the cache, which is in a much nicer place than where I was looking. I left Bytemobile turtle #37. Thanks!

Friday Night, Behind the Shed

By: stbk Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I had no idea about the theme when this first came out. It was on the first page of unfound caches closest to home, so I had another look at it last night and managed to google my way to an answer using the hints. Both I and my sons were unfamiliar with this. I found no definitive ordering on the net, but managed anyway. The shed door was open and it was in use when I drove up this evening, but he soon went about his business and I went about mine. Thanks!

The Man in the Middle

By: trode Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I initially had no idea where to start on this cache, and discussed it with zapboy at the Roaring Camp event. She mentioned a detail about the cache owner that helped with the theme, then the hints got me on track to a solution. I stopped by for a quick find at lunchtime today. Thanks!

Jul 19, 2005

Space Cowgirls

By: Space Cowgirl CaliSeaStar Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

I stopped by once before and didn't find it. Today I left the GPSr in the car and had no trouble, except for one thorn. I left Bytemobile turtle #31. Thanks!

Ultimate Battleship: WW3

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I saw this on my first page of unfounds last night, and gave it a shot. I stopped by on my way home and found it the first place I looked. While I was logging a lady asked my if she could help me, but I declined and she soon gave up on me. Thanks!

Mainline weaving operations

By: trode Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I'm not a big fan of evil hides, and I tend to lose interest after about 10 minutes or so, but this has been the unfound cache closest to work for a while, so I decided to have another look at lunchtime. I lost the coordinates long ago, so I just headed out for a walk with my earphones on and the GPSr in the car. I touched the cache in about the third place I looked, just before my attention span expired. Thanks!

Jul 18, 2005

Impasse

By: trode Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

This was about the length of my normal lunchtime walk, but had the bonuses of a cool breeze and some wildlife viewing. Like some of the other finders, I had trouble taking the last step to the solution, but in retrospect, it should have been about the second thing to try. Thanks for the entertainment!

The Lost Telegram

By: The Petoskey Stones Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Not chosen

For a long time the only idea I had about the theme was a mistaken one. I finally googled the right combination of words, and was surprised at the result. This is a topic I was quite familiar with, going all the way back to my high school days. There was no mud today, but got a little dust on my shoes. Beautifully presented puzzle!

Vote for Senator

By: STP Ron Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

My favorite trail would be a cool damp one through the deep woods. I was out voted by the number of cars at the trailhead this morning. At 7:45 am (15 min. before the park officially opens) there were cars parked on both sides of the street for a couple blocks in both directions. Thanks for the nice multi.

Hey We Did It!

By: sammydee Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Now that there is a new trail, it would be nice to have a new map that showed the trail. I didn't have too much trouble figuring out where to go, though. Thanks!

Virus Alpha 5

By: Nemglan Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

I homed in on the wrong spot at first, but eventually widened my search and spotted the cache. The temperature was beginning to heat up at mid morning, but there were lots of hikers, bikers, and riders on the trail.

SA02 (Nazgul Secret Trailhead #3)

By: Team Nazgul Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

My ExpertGPS map was inexpertly calibrated because it showed the cache quite a distance from Hicks Road. My GPSr didn't have a very good bead on the cache, so I just looked around a bit and found it.

Le Cache DeCon

By: Team Nazgul Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

This trail could use a little more traffic or a hiker with some clippers. Little arms of poison oak reach into the trail here and there along the way. I left Bytemobile turtle #30. Thanks!

Bring Me the Head of Tom Servo

By: Team Nazgul Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

My Garmin 60cs has a tendancy to claim it knows more than it really does about the current location. Sometimes that helps, but this time it sent me downstream, away from the cache. I eventually found it with a thorough search and the hint. I was glad I saved this hike for late morning, because it was still cool along the creek.

WOW! Look what I found.

By: ProTechCC Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Not chosen

My ExpertGPS calibratated map must not have been well calibrated because I headed down the wrong trail for this cache. Rather than retrace my steps to the junction, I applied some Tecnu and made my way through the poison oak. We'll see how that decision worked out in a day or two. Once I was on the right trail, the cache was easy, with no P.O. problems. Thanks!

Zone of Serenity

By: sammydee Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

I tried to beat the heat up here this morning, and there were lots of other folks doing the same thing. I left Bytemobile turtle #28. Thanks!

Conjuction Junction

By: sammydee Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I think it is also rush hour at 9 am on a Sunday. I had to wait a couple times until the traffic cleared. On my way back down from here I spotted a Tarantula Hawk. I will upload a picture if any turned out. He kept moving, so the pictures are probably blurry.

Dam Hicks! (Nazgul Secret Trailhead #2)

By: Team Nazgul Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I really liked the design of this cache. I stopped by again on my way out just to study the details of how it was made. Thanks!

Parker Ranch Trail (Nazgul Secret Trailhead #4)

By: Team Nazgul Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Now this is what I call a secret trailhead. Even after I stopped, I didn't spot it immediately. Thanks!

July Birthday Bash

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

I planning to be there with Mrs. Bytemobile. Dropped "This one's for Marky!" travel bug.

Fremont Older Shelter

By: stbk Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

I was inspired by CTomGeo's log to give this a try on my bike. It worked out great even though I ended up pushing it up a few steep parts. I went to the top of the shelter to let my GPSr settle down, and that worked out well too. I left Bytemobile turtle #26. Thanks!

Don't Drink and Ride

By: Sharkz Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I took and eary morning drive though Stevens Canyon, and made a quick stop here. I scored a clear Echo token, which made two pairs for me. Thanks!

By: Pinky B Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

St. James Park

By: St.Brendan Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I found a parking spot with 38 minutes left on the meter. I thought I would be able to make it, but there was an old fellow seated near where I wanted to search for the final. I finally sat across from him and tried to explain what I was up to, but he didn't say a word to me. Anyway, the cache ended up being a short distance away anyway. Time expired on my meter, but no ticket! Thanks!

I tried to make this one a little less visible. It looked like trash in the bushes. I guess they don't clean up around here that often. Thanks!

Airborne

By: Tonton-Ca Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I didn't zero out real close here, so I wandered around for a while, but eventually spotted it. Thanks!

Abby Normal?

By: sammydee Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I put 15 minutes on the parking meter, and found the first stage after a little wandering. The second stage was more of a challenge because of the nearby buildings, but I finally decided to look where I would have hidden it. Time was expired on my meter, but no ticket! Thanks!

Little San Francisco

By: WT Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

Well, there are a few things that Little SF is missing compare to Big SF... You really need the right perspective to see the cache, and it took me a few minutes to get in position. Thanks!

Aix Sponsa

By: Cat & Bird Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

We have a wood duck on our mantle, carved by my father-in-law, and it is quite colorful. Found the cache quickly, then worked on signing. Thanks!

Words of Wisdom

By: Rogue Ramblers Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I found two choices for one of the digits, but it was obvious which was correct. This was on my way home tonight, and it didn't take long to find. Thanks!

Khachkar

By: 2blucats Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

I finally decided to clear this mystery up on my way home tonight, and it turned out to be fairly straighforward. The log is still soggy. I probably should have left the container open a crack so it would dry out. Thanks!

Ingvar Kamprad's Pride & Joy

By: Beckerbuns, Nurse Dave & Boyz Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I was here once before, but the cache wasn't. I was in the area at lunchtime, and decided to make another stop. Thanks!

The Forgotten Flying Redwoods

By: DrHugAlot Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I came by at lunchtime today and found the cache after a bit of poking around. My first attempt was months ago, and the directions left me with a large area of uncertainty. Today I used one of the waypoints from a previous finder, and was able to concentrate my search. Thanks!

Transitions

By: payakoi Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I came by a lunchtime today. The autoroute feature on my GPSr didn't have a clue about where to park for the park, but I eventually figured it out the old fashioned way -- by driving around. Thanks!

Tough

By: 2burbacious Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I looked around casually as I walked up, then sat down on a bench because someone was camped on another nearby bench. After pondering the hint for a while, I finally decided where the cache must be and made a quick grab, then back to the bench. Thanks!

Cheap (First Cache)

By: 2burbacious (adopted by not2b) Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I was initially confused by the number of places that matched the hint, then I finally consulted the GPSr and homed in on the right one. I took a Team LegGoes chip, but couldn't fit a Bytemobile turtle in the cache.

A Real Looooong Walkway

By: garyhenry Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I worked this one into my errand route this afternoon. Thanks!

Somewhere in Loehmann's Plaza

By: catomcat Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

It took me a little while, but I finally spotted it. I don't think the hint is strictly true anymore. Thanks!

Virginia Park Cache

By: Thefogheads Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

On my first visit, months ago, I was confused by the hint since there are two of them here. This time, I knew the coordinates were right on, so I sat a while to let the GPSr home in, then concentrated my search and found it. Thanks!

Don't Reach Up

By: TeamSpider3 and escooby Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

There was some scrambling around ahead near the cache site, and I pulled out my Meade camera/binoculars. I saw a young bobcat up a tree and managed to get a shot before he scampered away. Unfortunately I wasn't that steady and the image is blurred a bit, but I am uploading it anyway. My route to the cache and back wasn't that well planned. I printed out an ExpertGPS map of the park trails and the cache, but left it at home. I left my new turtle sigitem #8.

UNO JUNIPER

By: Rocket Girl and DuckeyLee Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

This was a quick stop. Thanks!

Bone Tree

By: bullit Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Micro

I smelled the unmistakeable odor of rotting flesh as I came around a corner about 100 feet from the cache. I cautiously followed the smell, and as I came over a rise I saw a couple turkey vultures working on a fawn carcass. They gave me the evil eye and flew off. Then a loud sound overhead startled me and a third vulture took off from the trees above. I saw a herd of turkeys with lots of young ones not far from here on my way back.

Horse Tail

By: Rocket Girl and Duckey Lee Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

You provided some excellent advice for finding the cache. I dropped my first sigitem here, turtle #001.

Yosemite Passage

By: TeamSpider3 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I lived in Milpitas for about five years, 27 years ago, but I never really got around to look at the other neighborhoods. Thanks for the tour.

Dear Bowler, P.S.

By: DuckeyLee and Rocket Girl Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I was looking on the wrong side of the road until I read some of the previous logs, and figured out where it must be. I left my new turtle sigitem #12. Thanks!

Milpitas is going to the Dogs

By: Caching Casey Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I was the first one here this morning, and found this before heading up Monument Peak. The hide is not difficult, but I zeroed out about 20 feet away, so use a large radius for your search. Thanks!

End of Marsh Road

By: GeoBrowns Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Since I was up here for Laguna Cache, I decided to come a little farther for this cache. The paint matching was perfect as usual!

Ben there, done that

By: GeoBrowns Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

As a veteran of serveral other GeoBrowns caches, I knew what I was looking for, and found it right off. Thanks!

The Legends of Milpitas

By: GeoBrowns Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

I haven't be in Milpitas much since I lived here 27 years ago, but I enjoyed the tour today. The final location took me a while, but finally found it in a logical spot. I left my new turtle sigitem #10.

A Cow's Eye View

By: Team feline Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

The cows were here and so was the cache, but it was well hidden about hoof level. I left my new turtle sigitem #9.

Hawk's Picnic

By: Marky & Fizzy Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

It was a fairly cool hike up here this morning, but the sky cleared about the time I got up to the cache. I sat here and watched about three hang gliders take off from the hill above. I took GeoWomyn_SF_CA card #34 and left my own new turtle sigitem #3.

Road to Adobe Closed

By: Team feline Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I stopped by on my way to a hike up Monument Peak this morning. Thanks!

LeChuck's Medusean Treasure

By: LeChuck Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

I looked in the obvious place and the first thing I found was a water bottle with a copy of this cache page, a dollar bill, a stick of gum, and a Bomboocha VIP card. This didn't seem to match up with the logs of the other finders, so I looked a little harder and found the cache. I took the fake cache and left my new turtle sigitem #4.

Silicon Valley View

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

I picked this morning to hike up here because there was some overcast that kept the temperature cool, at least until I got up to this cache about 9:30. I left my new turtle sigitem #002 here.

Ain't No Water Up Here

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

One of the vehicles that dropped off some hang gliders offered me a ride down, but I declined so I could grab this cache. Thanks!

Foul

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I was heading for a hike up Monument Peak this morning, and stopped for a couple on the way. Nice idea!

Second Hand Rose

By: Stacy & Jerry Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

As I approached the cache site, I heard some thrashing in the brush, then "I found it!". I met geodiamond and saw the same tick he did -- after he pointed it out on my pant leg. I left Sami's Cruiser travel bug and my new turtle sigitem #6.

Laguna Cache

By: Stacy & Jerry Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Stage 1 really deserved a cache since it is easy to miss otherwise. I circled for a while at stage two, but finally went in and uncovered the well hidden cache. I left my new turtle sigitem #7. Thanks!

Yellowstone Park

By: kablooey Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

This cache is doing well for being over three years old. I took the summerandnana token and left my new turtle sigitem #11.

I was nearby for a Mental Workout at lunchtime today, so I decided to have a look see. I looked methodically and found it without too much problem. Thanks!

You are sick - REALLY sick!

By: mfc61 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I left work a little earlier than I normally do, and had just enough time to find this cache and get home about the same time as my wife. Thanks!

Mental Workout

By: Rocket Girl and DuckeyLee Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

The sprinkler running at lunchtime today added a star of difficulty or so, but I got I eventually. Thanks!

BOP

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I went out at lunchtime today and would have provided a new log, but the cache is somewhat customized, so I didn't attempt it. There is still room around the margins for signing, so I left it alone.

Maverick's Bluff

By: PisoMojado Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

The whole clan spent the weekend camped at Half Moon Bay. I solved this last week and brought the coordinates along. I finally got out here early this morning to find it, and had no trouble. Thanks!

We were headed to Purisima Creek Redwoods for a hike this morning, and made this our first stop. Thanks!

Semi-Secret Trailhead

By: Woof! Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

We appreciated the trailhead coordinates since we were heading out for a hike I was carrying a 2005 white Jeep travel bug with me, and decided to drop it at our turn-around point for the hike. Thanks!

Saluting General

By: woggs1 Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 4.0 Container: Regular

The trail from Bald Knob was a little disappointing in terms of weeds and sun exposure, but the destination was a nice payoff and there were some nice wildflowers along the way. We checked for ticks a couple times after walking through the weedy spots, but didn't find any. I decided to drop the 2005 white Jeep travel bug here, so whoever picks it up will have earned it. I picked it up at the Roaring Camp picnic last weekend. Thanks!

Kings Mountain

By: Skyline & Shane Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

We were headed for a hike at Purisima Creek Redwoods, but made a stop here first. The GPSr wandered a bit and so did we, but found it without too much problem. Shot pictures of my niece and myself, and looked through the developed pictures in the cache. Thanks!

Pure Quality Bald Knob

By: Ruprex and Ruprex's Girl (adopted by mjp303) Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

This was a pretty nice hike with son and niece today. I read the description and hint while son quickly homed in on the cache. The cache was fairly full, but we didn't make any exchanges. Thanks!

Semiprecious Park

By: Mengarelliott Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

I got my son and niece to come for a hike with me today. My son retrieved and replaced the cache, which made things easy. Took the Sami Cruiser travel bug, and left the Sondad Surf #1 travel bug. Thanks!

Farallone Marker

By: Team feline Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Regular

Wirebndr and I took the gradual steady climb up the old Pacifica-Montara Road from McNee Ranch. The marine layer was pretty heavy today so seeing the Farallones was out of the question, but we could see Pacifica and Montara just fine. The wind was a bit of a problem in the exposed areas though. Took the Sondad travel bug, and will move it along tomorrow. Thanks!

Hidden Bunker

By: TeamTrouble Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 4.0 Container: Regular

We were camped at Half Moon Bay for the weekend, and I got brother-in-law Wirebndr to come for a hike with me. We went up the old Montara-Pacifica Road, which is a gradual, steady climb. We really appreciated the log by B & N64 that explains the site, and without it we would have missed the second bunker. I zeroed out close the the cache and Wirebndr made the find. Long pants and Tecnu are recommended for this cache. Thanks!

Beyond The End

By: TheSunnyOaks Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

We pulled in to the campground about noon for the long holiday weekend. After lunch, I got my father-in-law and his dog to go for a walk with me. We sat on the bench, read the cache description, then found it. It was not a bad day at the beach -- a lot cooler than the other side of the hill. Thanks!

Bridges of San-star Counties

By: PisoMojado Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

We were headed for the campground at Half Moon Bay, but first Mrs. Bytemobile had a meeting to attend at Stanford. I parked the trailer at Stanford Shopping Center to wait, and was able to grab this cache with a short walk. Thanks!
