The People Zone III + A Walkway

By: garyhenry Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Mrs. Bytemobile and I were driving in the area, and I convinced her to stop for one geocache. I didn't get the math, but found the cache without too much trouble. Thanks!

Venor Infernus Sempervirons

By: Kealia & Hula Bum Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

I had a great time and Mrs. Bytemobile enjoyed the day as well. I saw my first while jeep travel bug here, when Marky handed it to me. We missed the raffle while we were out caching, and Marky saved some prizes for the absentees. Thanks for a great event!

Deer John,

By: The Saints Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Found with Mrs. Bytemobile at the Roaring Camp Event. We thought the paved road would more likely be called a fire road than the road that ends at the picnic area, so we wandered out of our way, but we finally found the trailhead and followed it around to the cache. Thanks!

Assume Nothing #8

By: workerofwood Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

This is probably the first one of the series that gave me no trouble. The cache was the first thing I touched. Lots of traffic on the trail this morning, but fortunately there is a little privacy. Thanks!

Duck,Duck,Goose!

By: The Saints Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

We were treated to the sight of an egret stalking prey on our way in to the event, then watched the ducks and geese later on. Thanks!

Jane Doe

By: The Saints Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Mrs. Bytemobile had command of the GPSr, so I can blame her for the fact that we were looking around inside the barn, but she redeemed herself by finally finding the cache. Thanks!

Assume Nothing #9- Ivy Hide

By: workerofwood Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

My GPSr wasn't right on this one, so I wandered quite a while before I saw anything interesting, then there is was!

Bizarre, vous avez dit bizarre?

By: mfc61 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I had some errands to run this morning, and this stop fit right into my route. Thanks!

JCF

By: Sgt Stitches Difficulty: 5.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

I knew approximately where we were headed based on a map I printed ahead of time, but I lost GPS reception before I got there. We went down to the river, got the GPS synced up, figured out the hint, and headed for the cache. We listened to the ranger give her little talk, and she gave us a little help with what level to look for the cache. Thanks!

Bait (Hidden Walkways II)

By: workerofwood Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

I knew about this walkway, and have used it at least once before. It was convenient this morning for Assume Nothing #8. Thanks!

Bigfoot Sighting

By: The Zenone Family Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Large

We were in the area for the Roaring Camp geocacher event, so we decided to hit this on our way home. The info was pretty straightforward to gather, and our GPSr autorouted us to the right spot. Thanks for setting up another quality cache!

Slow Down!

By: Boulter (adopted by AlphaRomero) Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Nicely done! I came out at lunchtime, and it took me a while before I was in the right place to see it, but once I was there, it was an easy find.

Proposal Point

By: RodnSon Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

I came by at lunchtime and the lake was full of sailboards and sailboats. The First Class travel bug I picked up in the Sierras fit perfectly in the cache, so I left that and took the Canada geocoin. (Bullit logged that he came by and swapped the Canada geocoin for the WA coin.)

Huntington Lake Vista

By: FFtoolman & SLOFolks Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

I stopped by on the way home from a backpacking trip with my two sons. Kaiser Pass Road just opened up last week and our original plan for hiking to Upper Twin Lake had to be modified because the snow was still pretty solid around that area. We had a good time, though, and had a great clear view of Huntington from the cache site. The cache was in great shape, and I took the Fir st Class travel bug since I figured it had been here a while.

Mini Bags

By: crew416 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

The clerk at this establishment looked like he would have a lonely day. Found the cache without much problem. Thanks!

Cache Withdrawal

By: crew416 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

I made a quick run around Clovis early Friday morning before heading up to Huntington Lake for a backpacking trip. Thanks!

Chronicle This

By: AngelBaby7 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Found this on a quick tour of Clovis before heading up to the Sierras on Friday morning. Thanks!

Fly Like an Eagle

By: jake4729 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

The only folks about this morning were the gardeners, waiting for us to move our vehicle so they could finish blowing the parking lot. Thanks!

It's A Way Of Life

By: Pilgrim, Rhubarb, & Sweet Pea Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

My two sons and I have a tradition going now for two years that we meet at the Best Western in Clovis on the Thursday night before Fathers Day, and head up for a weekend of backpacking in the Sierras on Friday morning. Before heading out, I got one son to join me in a little tour of Clovis geocaches. This one was within walking distance, and was the best of the ones we did. Thanks for setting this one up!

Bottom's Up

By: Rocket Girl and DuckeyLee Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

This was the end of my Rocket Girl and DuckeyLee lunchtime tour. It took me by a big apricot orchard that is apparently ready for harvest. Thanks!

Cars and Carrots

By: Rocket Girl and DuckeyLee Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I wasn't in the market for carrot or cars at lunchtime today, bit a little drive around for a few caches was nice. Thanks!

Mary Washington Cache

By: L-grl Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

This was a piece of cake at lunchtime today. The solid line of parked cars provides some privacy for accessing the cache.

Now That's Funny

By: Rocket Girl and DuckeyLee Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

No one around, and it was an easy lunchtime grab. Thanks!

Hungering For A Cache

By: Rocket Girl and DuckeyLee Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I already had lunch, but was indeed hungering for a cache, so I stopped by. Thanks!

Don't Go There To Get There

By: Rocket Girl and DuckeyLee Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

I also violated the ordinance both coming and going since the nearby lot was full at lunchtime.

Sunnyvale Gold Rush

By: Kolrxing Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

I was out on my lunch hour today, and this was close enough to my route that I decided to stop by. Thanks!

My Meridian

By: Wintertime Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

I won't admit how many times I have been by to look for this one, but it wasn't so hard today. I just moved a few leaves aside, and there it was. Thanks!

Coyote Bike Trail Homestead II

By: Team Nazgul Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

This was my first bike ride on the Coyote Creek trail, and this was my first find of the day. Thanks!

The Roar of 101 not Coyote Creek

By: garyhenry Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

This was my first ride on the Coyote Creek trail, and this was the first cache that I didn't have to go wandering off in the weeds for. Thanks!

Take a Break

By: garyhenry Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

There was already a father and kid taking a break, but the cache was far enough away that I didn't bother them. Thanks!

Pennies From Heaven

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 4.0 Container: Regular

I was sure I knew what the terrain rating was all about and didn't mind going for it, but all I ended up with was a swarm of ants all over my hands from checking out crevices and holes.

Merry Christmas Cache #2

By: Beckerbuns and boys Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

This was my first ride on the Coyote Creek trail. I rode it in sections, so I didn't have far to go for this cache. Thanks!

Coyote Bike Trail Homestead

By: Pedaler Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Other

Muddy trail is still a problem, so I took a detour through the weeds. This is my first bike ride on the Coyote Creek trail, but it seems I spent more time off the trail. Thanks!

"DUCK"

By: EHYAMO Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

I wandered through more weeds than I really needed to before seeing the way in. It was an easy find after that. Thanks!

Old Coyote Bike Trail

By: Pedalman Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

I went the extra mile for this cache. I did a cache on the other side of the dam, then rode my bike all the way round the lakes for this one. I dug around in one hole and thought the cache was gone, but it was well concealed nearby. Thanks!

Coyote Bike Trail Overview

By: Pedaler Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Other

I spotted the easy way in, with the beaten down weeds, and made a quick find. Thanks!

Coyote Crossing

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I rode the Coyote Creek trail in sections today, and this was a good spot to park and ride for a couple of caches. Thanks!

Around the Bend

By: cachinggirls Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

I was trying to find my way back to 101, and this cache was right long the way, so I had a look for it. The camo works very nicely. Thanks!

Water Logged

By: cachinggirls Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

The whole clan was down for the Firestone Winery picnic, and I managed to get out early for a couple hours of caching this morning. This is kind of an interesting spot. I spotted where the cache probably was right off, but it wasn't until about the third pass that I spotted it. Thanks!

Hey Aliso, Aussie's Dead!

By: Droo Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

This one was the easiest of the four, but sort of a long drive. Since I was out here, I managed to do several other caches. Thanks!

Best Damn View

By: Droo Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

I thought this one was pretty tough, but fortunately, there aren't that many likely places, and area around the cache is well-worn. Thanks!

Edge O' Town

By: Droo Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

I tried this one again with a little encouragement from the cache owner, and it really isn't so bad. This time, I looked a little closer, and the cache is visible without moving anything.

~ Search...No Bush Whacking Required ~

By: ~ AfricanQueen ~ (adopted by Zaulyn) Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

The whole clan was down for the Firestone Winery picnic, and I was able to get away for a couple hours of caching this morning. Thanks!

"E"mu Empery

By: BooBooBee, Baby Boo, Eeku Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I stopped by a little after 7 am and the gates were still closed, but there was no problem getting to the cache, and no problem hearing the emus. I guess the ants were still asleep at this hour.

Campin' W/ The Jeeps

By: L.O.S.T.JJsKJ Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

I had a quick look in the obvious spots, then read the past logs, and found it quickly in a not-so-obvious spot. Thanks!

Jun 4, 2005

Edge O' Town

By: Droo Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

I think one side of the barbed wire must be private property, and I'm guessing it's the recently mowed side, which is where my GPSr was pointing. I had a look anyway, but didn't spot it.

Santa Rosa Stumpin' Grounds

By: Droo Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

The whole clan was camped in Buellton for the Firestone winery picnic today. I headed out early to do a couple caches before the picnic. I didn't have much trouble with this one. Thanks!

Binary Blues

By: Iron Chef Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

We were travelling south to Buellton, pulling a trailer, and this was the only caching stop we made today.
