Chattanooga Choo-Choo

By: Coralgeo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

The family was camped at Seacliff for the weekend and WireBender and I decided to do this one as a long hike up the beach. It was a great day for a hike. We headed up the wrong canyon from the beach, but went through the resort to the road, and found the trail under the trestle without much trouble. We also had no trouble with the cache. Thanks for a great cache.

Creek-End Crack

By: aginzu and Big Green Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

This wasn't as bad as advertised. I came with another old fogey, WireBender, and we went directly to it, and found it right away with a little probing. This was a great day to be out and about, and we had some great views up top.

Father's Day Frolic

By: aginzu and Big Green Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

The family had three trailers at Seacliff this weekend. This cache is a nice little hike up the beach. I came with WireBender, and he may have caught the geocaching bug.

back door

By: accu_bill2000 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

N 36 59.610 W 121 55.279 - these are my coordinates for the cache. I was looking about 127 feet north of there, but the cache is not that hard to find with the hints. I stopped by here on a beautiful afternoon after some hiking and geocaching at Nisene Marks.

Seahawk Vista

By: Jontrevor and GABossie Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

I stopped by here after some hiking and geocaching at Nisene Marks. Found this one fairly quickly. The satellite reception is way better here than down in the woods!

A Prelude to Darkness and Light

By: Iron Chef Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

There was a rain shower earlier in the morning, and that just added to the beauty of this hike. I hiked alone, and the only human sounds in the area were made by me. I had no trouble finding the cache, but my GPSr was of little help near the cache.

Do the Twist

By: Coralgeo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

This is a very cool area. The hint was very helpful for finding the cache. Thanks.g

Shake Your Bootie

By: Coralgeo (initially placed by Raygun_88) Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Regular

I messed up right at the start of this trail. The trail disappeared at the creek. I didn't notice that it picked up on the other side -- headed downstream -- apparently the opposite direction that I wanted to go. I ended up scrambling up the creek until the trail came back across about 1/3 mile later. I also didn't read the web page very closely. I was looking about 150 m past the epicenter, rather than 150 m past the switchbacks. I finally headed up the trail a bit farther and found the cache fairly quickly, now that I was in the right area.

Girl Power Cache

By: geocruz with Geoflower Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

This was my last stop on a bike ride from Seacliff. Had no trouble with this cache. It was a great day to be out and about. Thanks.

Los Conquistadors

By: Seacliff Troll Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

After I found the way in, this was a piece of cake. This was the second stop on my bike trip from Seacliff.

"Brighton" Up Your Life !!

By: THUNDER BEAR Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

After getting our trailer set up for the weekend at Seacliff, I headed out on my bike for an afternoon of geocaching. This was the first stop, and found it without much trouble. Thanks.

Schwan Lake

By: kylemnop Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

This was my turn-around point on a bike trip from Seacliff. My GPSr didn't do too well at auto-routing me to the trailhead. I should have read the hint first. I had no trouble finding the cache. Thanks for bringing me here.

Capitola View

By: Coralgeo Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

This was my third stop on a bike trip from Seacliff. This was a beautiful day to be outside. I was wishing for a screwdriver or knife to pry open the container, but it eventually yielded to squeezing and pulling.

NT JAM #3

By: FISHERWOMAN & N2BOOKS2 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

This was my fourth stop on a bike trip from Seacliff. It was a beautiful day to be out and about. Had no trouble finding the cache, using the hint.

Ohlone Sanctuary

By: GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

Did this and Indian Montage today with DougMoi. Had an overcast day, but it turned out nice for biking and hiking. We guessed wrong and took a long dead end tour enroute to the final cache location, but finally got back on the right trail. I think we took pictures 3 & 4 on the roll. Thanks for the tour.

Indian Montage

By: GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

Doug Moi and I got our exercise today between this and Ohlone Sanctuary. The day started out cool and misty, but turned out fine for biking and hiking. We parked our bikes and hiked up through the grass for the final cache. When we got back down, we both had a couple ticks on our jeans. Today was a good day to have long pants.

Indian Mini-Montage 4

By: GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

This was our second stop in the series. The cache was exposed, so we left it a little better hidden.

Indian Mini-Montage 6

By: GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

This completed the puzzle, but we decided to finish up Ohlone Sanctuary before heading to the final cache.

Indian Mini-Montage 5

By: GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

This was our first stop in the series. Just down the hill a herd of school kids were playing and eating their lunches.

Indian Mini-Montage 3

By: GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

Made a quick find and signed the log, on our way to #6.

Indian Mini-Montage 2

By: GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

Did this one just before #1. Biked to the bottom of the hill and hiked a short way up to the cache. This is a most excellent Toyon. The ones I planted in my front yard are babies compared to this.

Indian Mini-Montage 1

By: GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

We did nearly a full circle around the hill on our bikes before deciding where to go up. Nice views from the top.

The Point

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I missed a key point and missed the cache by about a mile, but quickly found the error of my ways.

POP #1

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I stared at this one a little while last night, and it finally dawned on me. Thanks for the puzzle.

I was in the area, so I made the short hike and found it with no problem. Thanks. TNLNSL.

Skyyyyy Pirate

By: Purphekt Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

I also saw no sign of the landmark. I made a good guess and had no trouble finding the cache.

The Hobbit

By: mbrill Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Regular

This is a great spot for a cache, and a nice end to "The Hobbit" adventure. It is also the end of the series for me, and I returned the four books to the library today. Thanks for a great adventure, mbrill.

Native Americans

By: St.Brendan Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

This was my first find of the day, and it was a nice little walk through the woods on a cool morning. Thanks.

Midnight Memorial

By: Jim and Cecilia Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

This was one of the first caches I looked for back in October -- and didn't find it, probably because I took the hint too literally. Today I was in the area, so I stopped by and it was an immediate find.

History of Los Gatos

By: spyder woman Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

I made the rounds back on 4/25, and came back today to finish it off. I will definitely be back to stage 6 for some sampling. Thanks for the tour.

Return of the King

By: mbrill Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 4.0 Container: Regular

I'm proud to make this my 200th cache. It was a great adventure and I hated to see it end. Next, I plan to finish up "The Hobbit" and return the four books to the library.

Fellowship of the Ring

By: mbrill Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

This is the kind of cache that keeps up my interest in geocaching. Thanks for all the work that went into this.

By: workerofwood Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

Beautiful views on a beautiful day. TNLNSL.

The Two Towers

By: mbrill Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

I haven't been much of a Tolkien fan, but I would recommend this series to anyone. The questions are generally straight forward and the cache locations are outstanding. Thanks for the adventure.

Blown Away

By: DiveGupy Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

This was indeed a windy hill late this afternoon, but great visibility up and down the bay.

Have a Ball

By: boulter Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

I had a ball, and some excercise, and some great views on this beautiful day. Thanks.

Moffett Park

By: Stacy & Jerry; Adopted by cachbefound Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I found it pretty quickly, but was wary of anyone seeing me looking. At my present rate, it may take me a year to get through this series.

T in the Road

By: Diana, Jim and Bryan Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

I biked the loop on my lunch hour. I came across one big goose (or gander) with wings spread, who gave me a big hiss as I passed. It took me a few minutes to find the cache. Thanks for an excuse for some exercise. TNLNSL.
