Crawling Distance (Bread and Roses Cache)

By: nemsmedic11 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

3:29 pm - Someone really wedged this in the wrong way which made it hard to extract. I eventually got it out. TNLN. Thanks!

Remember the Arch

By: Grampa Cardigan Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

2:43 pm - I remember driving across the old green bridge and looking down through the holes in the metal. It looked like there was nothing below you. I also remember the controversy about tearing it down. At one point they were going to narrow it and make it a pedestrian bridge in the middle. Oh well. Thanks for the cache.

TeamAlamo finds 25,000 - National Landmark GC1781T

By: We Who Are Not Worthy Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

10:30 am - Another story of a personal brush with fame I can share with my grandchildren.

No Shotguns allowed

By: jellis50 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

As I approached, people were kicking things over. I saw something else that might be a possible hiding spot, but someone grabbed it before I got there and found it. Well done. Thanks.

5 Years and Counting

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Not chosen

Materus and I were trying to find a way to Bend in the trail, but ended up getting stopped from our cross-country trek, so we headed on down to this one. Hooray, an ammo can! We met DavidT21 and WalruZ there. I dumped some trinkets in and we continued on. Thanks!

Cow Trail

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

Found this one before Materus and I started backtracking. Got em all today. Thanks!

Bend in the Trail

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Materus and I tried desperately not to backtrack on this trail. We failed. The worst was approaching this cache after having gone all the way down to the bottom, then climbing straight back up in the mud. I nearly fell over. We got em all though, and I guess that's what counts. TNLN. Thanks.

Trailheads of the Rich & Famous - #2

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Micro

11:50 am - There seem to be some uppy parts to this park. Yikes. Perhaps it would have been easier without all the mud. Made it up here and then had to find a clever solution for getting the cache out. Fun! Thanks for the cache.

5 Years Down; 25K Found, > 460K to Go

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Other

2 pm - I dare you to find 25,000 more without losing your sanity or dropping dead first.

ODS: Bishop Ranch Open Space

By: comishcraig Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

1:12 pm - Boy my shoes were muddy by this part of the hike. Someone called them "Hobbit feet" with all the accumulated mud and leaves on the bottom. I had to work to get it all off before we went into the restaurant for the event. Materus did the honors on this one while I recouperated. Thanks!

Elephant Tree

By: comishcraig Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

1:23 pm - Every time we were down in this park, it seemed like we had to go up again. This was another like that - going straight up a hillside. As I looked for it, people were yelling hints at me from afar. I was thankful for them. The container is quite damaged on this one and should be replaced. TNLN. Thanks!

Stream View Trail

By: comishcraig Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

1:35 pm - I ran or rather tumbled by BuckyD and crew on the way down to this one. By the time I reached the cache they caught up and I left it with them. TNLN. Thanks!

Bishop Ranch Battery Recycling Center

By: comishcraig Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

1:41 pm - Boy I was glad to be done with this little hike. I thought it would be a quick jaunt and almost didn't bring water. That would have been worse. I found all the caches with the help of Materus though and got a good workout, so thanks! TNLN.

Halbert's Iron Horse

By: Halbert and the gang Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

10:21 am - I showed up at this at just the right time. Winini and dynamic duo had found the cache, but couldn't figure out how to get it out. I made a suggestion and bingo. Now that's cooperation! Thanks for the neat hide.

Hey! I Can See My House From Here!

By: Raptor & Rex Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

11:31 am - My god, it's a cowpatty minefield out here. Between those and the mud, I was thinking I should just throw away my shoes at the end of the hike. This one seemed a little precarious - I'm not sure how it's supposed to stay up there, but it was perched when I left. Thanks!

Mt. Diablo View

By: Wacka Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

12:07 pm - By this time, I was getting pretty tired. Lots of up and down here, especially if you've never done any of the caches in this park before. Found it with Materus. Thanks!

Delta View

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

12:09 pm - By this part of the afternoon, Mt. Diablo was almost out from underneath the clouds. We were having a good hike, despite all the up and down. Thanks for another one!

Glowing Eyes

By: SnoWake -n- Rexy, and Dingo too! Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

11:24 am - Found this one with Materus, who keeps a pretty good pace. Sure tired me out by the end of the hike. I thought this was going to be a quick half-dozen caches before lunch? I'm pooped!

Bishop's Paddock

By: Raptor & Rex Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

11:12 am - Cloversmom walked up and found this right away. She also found GeoBrowns' glasses. That's a pretty strong start! Thanks for the cache.

Danville South

By: Halbert and the gang Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

10:13 am - This had some nice camo. As I went to sign the log, I dropped my phone and GPS into the mud. Uggh. TNLN. Thanks!

Halbert's Hide and Seek

By: Halbert Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

10:06 am - Checked a bunch of spots, then found it in the last spot of the type of I suspected. TNLN. Thanks for the quick one!

Bishop's Gambit

By: pr Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Not chosen

11:40 am - Poor pr. He had no idea what kind of monster he would create by putting a simple box in the woods.
