Poss Ť's Hideout 6

By: Fogg's Poss è Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

10:56 am - Getting into this park was pretty comical. First, we couldn't find the machine to pay the park fee. Then we realized we didn't have change. Digging through every bad we had, we managed to find enough pennies and nickels to scrounge up the cash. Finding the cache on the other hand was much easier. Thanks.

Poss Ť's Hideout 7

By: Fogg's Poss è Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

11:37 am - Another quick find of this container. We made a great loop of these nearby caches. TNLNSL. Thanks!

Aquaman - JLA

By: TRAKD Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

11:25 am - We had a nice walk out to this one and found it without any trouble. This place must look very different in the spring when the water is high. TNLNSL. Thanks!

BART XIV

By: coon hound Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

11:51 am - It was strange to see a BART series way out here! The cache was filled with water, but the answer card was just fine. Little wildlife but lots of bicyclists and walkers out today. Thanks!

Valley of the Oaks

By: cachestashers Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Large

8:40 am - The camo was so good, it fooled even the ants crawling all over it! Quick find and TNLNSL. Thanks!

Ag 0: California Agriculture

By: Hynr Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

3:21 pm - Quick find here today. Finding this one where it was makes me wonder if another in this series was missing...

Ag 3: Dairy

By: Hynr and Teachermom Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

1:46 pm - Got lucky and found in the first place I looked. The cows were feeling lazy today and were all lyng down. Thanks!

Ag 9: Agriculture: Horses

By: Teachermom and Hynr Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

1:37 pm - Do horses count as muggles? One was looking at me very suspiciously as I grabbed the cache. I hope he doesn't give the hide away. [:D] Thanks!

Intro to Dendro I: Quercus lobata

By: Rexx of BezNRexx Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

9:09 am - This was the the third cache of the morning during our walk from the hotel.
Apparently we're below average-sized as we had a lot of trouble getting to this one. With a boost we barely got it. TNLNSL. Thanks.

ClayJar Comes to Sacramento

By: MikieP Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

9:00 am - The grass was a bit wet and so were our shoes by the time we finished this one.
I messed up and forgot to adjust half the coordinates so I spent some time looking in a wide open area. The second spot made a lot more sense. The cache was a tight fit, but I managed to get it out. TNLNSL. Thanks.

Solano House

By: Nylimb and Hynr Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

2:13 pm - We walked over to the monument and calculated the final but thought we might be able to drive closer to it. We did a bunch of other caches then came back. We didn't find closer parking than right next to the monument, so we ended up doing the full walk anyway. TNLNSL. Thanks.

Got Milk!!!

By: bthomas Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

4:05 pm - Interesting story here. In replacing the cache I broke the "camo" on top of it. Oops, sometimes I don't know my own strength. [8D] Thanks!

Mallards Hideaway

By: ventureduck Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

1:21 pm - Yup, lots of ducks nearby today guarding the cache. Found it ok though. TNLNSL. Thanks!

By: bthomas Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

By: ventureduck Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

Dirt Park

By: jimlips Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

5:21 pm - OK, one more cache. [:D] After circling the block a few times we found a close spot to park. Quick find on the cache, too. Thanks!

Brrriinng!

By: 47Dad47 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

11:14 am - We walked right to this one and found it in the right spot. People must have been wondering what I was doing in there since there was no functional device! Thanks for the fun.

Bright Lights Sac City

By: Hynr Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

4:11 pm - I got lucky and pretty much found this in the first place I looked. Some days are like that; most are not! Thanks.

Old Rusty Bucket of Bolts

By: 47Dad47 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

1:04 pm - We had to count to find this one. It was pretty visible, there's just a lot of places to look. The log was very soggy. We were barely able to sign it. Thanks.

By: 47Dad47 Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Going to the "Tent"

By: sailorscodgers Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

4:56 pm - This one confused us at first. Anne figured out the hint and we headed to it just as it started to rain - hard. We grabbed the cache as soon as could and called it a day. Thanks!

Pinheads

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

1:23 pm - I think this is MotorBug's shortest cache description ever. He must have run out of ideas. Somewhere around here we saw catomcat, but I guess he didn't recognize us and kept walking. Thanks.

Vladimir has been kidnapped!

By: fulmar2 Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I was happy to solve this one quickly soon after it came out. I came by on the way home to grab it. Nice hide - that's a perfect spot for that container. TNLNSL. Thanks!

Sandpipers

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

1:47 pm - We timed our arrival here just right as a family was just leaving. Yup, lots of sandpipers out today enjoying the low tide. Thanks!

And Again

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

1:08 pm - I suppose the terrain rating is accurate only if you come from the other side. This was a good walk out from San Antonio Rd. Quick find, thanks!

Charleston Slough

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

12:33 pm - This one was mighty visible. I hope it lasts. That did make it a quick fine. Heh, DavidT called Wacka a naughty name. [:D]

Tear Down This Wall!

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

11:44 am - Approaching, this appeared to be some lame parking lot cache. Who would put anything interesting back here? Boy, I was wrong. Anne just kept saying "This is cool!". Quick find. Thanks for pointing this out!

Diversity

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

2:05 pm - Again people were just leaving as we were arriving, so we grabbed the bench hastily. Then I noticed that the GPS was pointing elsewhere. I told Anne to keep the bench secure; she responded by lying down on it while I found the cache nearby.
The biggest diversity we noticed were the multitude of languages we heard people speak in along the trail. Thanks!

Shoreline Trailhead

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

12:00 pm - We made a quick find of this one between passing muggles. Thanks!

See Clearly

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Nice container - watertight too! Quick find, TNLNSL. Thanks for the walk and view.

Runners

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

1:40 pm - This one was annoying as we had to wait out a birder. I considered trying to grab it anyway, but she was sitting right on top of it!
She didn't look like she was moving anytime soon, so we started to walk towards the next one. About half-way there she got up, so we hurried back and grabbed it. Thanks!

Birders

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

12:15 pm - On the way over here I saw Wacka and DavidT coming at us on bikes. They were going too fast and didn't notice us. Quick cache though with many more to come. Thanks!

Phoenix Arise!/The Point

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

On the way to this one, Blanston12 drove by. On the way out, bullit was going the other direction. Busy place! I searched for the cache while Anne serenaded me with poetry from the sculpture. This one could have been a lot harder to find! Was it me or did it smell funny here? Thanks!

Chainasaurus

By: GeoBrowns Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

4:16 pm - I feared the Chainasaurus not because of its scary teeth, but because of its difficulty and reputation. [;)]
I was impressed with myself when I found it in only a few minutes. Neat sculpture. Thanks!

Come Again

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

1:07 pm - Ha, I waited you out WeBeDnD! No return trips for me, at least for a week or so. Seriously, are there any spots left on this trail??
I spent most of the walk up here trying to reconcile my GPS with the list of active caches here and figuring out which ones were just reactivated. I think I got them all though. TFTC.

Five Finger Discount

By: Mystery Ink Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

1:33 pm - The inclement weather returned again here casting a very eerie fog across the area. Visibility was barely 50 feet. The first person we saw all day ran by, surprising us. I found the cache OK and we continued along. Thanks!

River Runs Through it

By: Mystery Ink Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Micro

2:19 pm - We tried to make contact with the owners via workerofwood earlier in the day to see if it was OK to replace this one if it was indeed missing. I didn't even have the coordinates, but I helped MotorBug search in every place I could imagine. We got a pretty good idea about the container and where it might be, but MotorBug's search there turned up empty. Amazingly I had cell reception here and was able to IM a previous finder for a confirmation on the location. With a little flexibility I was able to grab it. Thanks, just don't do that again. [;)]

Montgomery Lane

By: Mystery Ink Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

1:04 pm - I could have found it without MotorBug's help, so neehhh! You don't often see moss growing on cars, so this was a strange one. Thanks for the tour.

Montgomery Lane

By: Mystery Ink Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

Forgot to drop the Thing 1 TB.

Sierra Azul Trader

By: Tonton-Ca Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

2:34 pm - Nope, no reception here for some reason. I dropped the Divit Head TB for the Marx TB. Hopefully it won't be long before someone comes up here to rescue it. Thanks.

SA09

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

11:29 am - I should just go home; MotorBug finds these in seconds. Nice camo and TFTC.

Easy Chair

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Small

12:21 pm - I was really bummed that I lost part of my trusty lanyard pen somewhere around here. I noticed it was missing while searching in all kinds of strange holes for this cache. I spotted the cache and then MotorBug took advantage of the furnishings. Thanks!

Ghost Trees

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Small

12:41 pm - There was some nasty rain earlier in the day (with more to come), but about the time we got here, it had cleared up a bit and was quite nice. MotorBug spotted the signature camo quickly. Thanks.

Tram Lines

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

1:46 pm - I was surprised to find a GBA coin out in the wild up here. It was hella foggy up here, making for little view. Got the cache and TNLNSL. Thanks!

Snake Alert

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Regular

12:52 pm - This one would only be better if there was a hidden camera nearby. Nicely done. Thanks!

Hot Wheels Cache

By: Pack 281 Den 1 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Large

10:52 am - MotorBug and I were still burning time and did this one as a quick hike up rather than on the way down as we planned. The rain continued though a bit lighter but there was PO all around. I finally found it with the hint and we headed back to the car to find the rain had just about stopped. The hike was back on! TNLNSL. Thanks.

The Lost Letter

By: The Petoskey Stones Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

4:40 pm - I recall enjoying solving this one a while ago. It's nice to learn something new. I also recall having some extra numbers and throwing nthem away.
Today I was in the neighborhood and thought I would stop by to sign the log. As soon as I saw it, I knew what I had to do. I doublechecked, but I did not have the numbers, so I started a brute force. This was made even more difficult by the ants that were crawling all over the cache. I had to stop
frequently to brush them off. I nearly convinced myself that the brute force wouldn't work when it finally did. That was painful. There were some muggles in the area, so I quickly signed the log and headed home. Thanks!

Le Cache DeCon

By: Team Nazgul Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

10:34 am - Yeah, I did get a little wet, just slipped a bit. I was thankful for my wool socks. MotorBug found it far away from where I was looking, which was just fine with me considering the height of the stream today. Looks like a cool spot to explore on a summer day. Thanks!

Bring Me the Head of Tom Servo

By: Team Nazgul Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

10:23 am - The stream was raging for sure. MotorBug found this one again. Why do I even need to come along? TNLNSL. Thanks!

SA02 (Nazgul Secret Trailhead #3)

By: Team Nazgul Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

10:13 am - We had already driven up to SA09 and back, trying to kill time, so we went back down here to see if we could do a few under the shelter of the trees. The rain let up a bit and it wasn't bad in here.
At one point while searching I turned around and MotorBug had his signature "I found it" grin on. Then of course he sits and waits until I find it too. Someday I'm just going to sit near a cache I haven't found with a big smile on my face and make him find the thing!

Anyway, cool spot. Thanks!

Just Beyond The End

By: sammydee Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

9:49 am - It was unpleasant and raining when MotorBug and I got here. After whining about the weather for a bit, I convinced him to at least burn some time by going out to find this very close by cache. He noticed something suspicious, we signed the log and went right back to the car! Thanks.

Above the Valley

By: ProTechCC & Chucklesda Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 4.0 Container: Regular

12:03 pm - I've been waiting a long time to grab this one as it was placed just after the infamous deathmarch where I cleared out the area.
Nope, no view here today. I TNLNSL from the nice big cache. Thanks!

Never on a Sundae

By: pao_flyers Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

2:41 pm - That's a pretty cruel placement right next to a big window. I found it on a hail mary grab. It was interesting to watch the construction while I rolled up the log. I was good and resisted the temptation to stop in for a treat. Thanks.

Numbers Hound # 1

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

2:10 pm - As I approached this one, I had to question whether this was a MotorBug or tonton hide. :D I can't believe winini found it at 4:25 am. He must really be a vampire. Thanks!

Cormorant Feeding Line

By: STP Ron Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

12:25 pm - Now that was mighty cruel to put this one on the other side from the rest. We made it into a good walk though and found the cache under the watch of muggles. Thanks.

Ex Post Cacho

By: Antfugue Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

2:57 pm - Yes, that's one strong magnet. I even got a pinch when I went to replace it. Thanks.

I'm Green

By: Rocket Girl Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

11:12 am - We checked something else green first, the found the right area and the cache. A cop drove by as I was replacing it but didn't give us notice. Thanks.

The Functional Bridge

By: southbayday Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

3:06 pm - It's nice to see a good-sized cache here. I found it quickly. TNLNSL. Thanks!

Somewhere in Los Altos revisited.

By: catomcat Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

3:26 pm - I parked in the designated Geocacher parking and began my search. I checked the right spot soon, but missed the cache. The hint led me to focus on the wrong thing, so I went for a lifeline. This is one of the more humane versions of this hide. Thanks.

If You Build It They Will Come

By: Rocket Girl Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

11:12 am - This was a bit of an odd placement. The first place I checked close by appeared to be a vagrant's bathroom. Nasty. TNLN and we were glad to get out of there.

Educational Symbols

By: OneAngryPuppy and Frivlas Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

4:06 pm - I was off doing some caching in another direction when I got a call from a frantic motorbug. Something about an FTF and a puzzle that just came out. We agreed to meet in Palo Alto. When I arrived, he already had his head in the bushes. We looked around some more then rechecked some stuff to end in the right place. We got there just a few minutes after dw. Some words I can't repeat here came out of MotorBug's mouth. TFTC!

Planner S.M.

By: Tonton-Ca Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

1:24 pm - Quick find. TNLNSL. Thanks.

Get Down to the Water

By: STP Ron Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

12:02 pm - Good camo on this one. We spent a bunch of time looking before MotorBug came up with it. TNLNL. Thanks!

Numbers Hound # 2

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

2:22 pm - The most difficult part of this one was finding a way in since my autorouter wanted me to park on the side of Central Expressway. Found it on my second look when I got there. TFTC and number!

Needless Mark-up

By: sugarbuns Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

4:23 pm - Ha, hadn't heard that nickname before. At first I thought they really need to do something about the homeless problem here, then I recognized it was MotorBug rooting around near the trash bins. [:D] We found it and then went to look at toys in the Apple store. Thanks.

Embarcadero Bug Depot

By: OneAngryPuppy and Frivlas Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

5:16 pm - There was a group of protestors on the corner regarding the latest scheduled execution. As I waited for the crosswalk, I appeared to join them!
I got the first few clues, but couldn't figure out what the 8 and 10s used to be, so I went for the hint. Nice big cache here. Too bad I forgot my TBs again, so TNLN. Thanks!

Lampposts - A Fools Errand

By: cachecrashers Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

1:29 pm - OK, you got us. Found it in the SECOND place we looked. Thanks.

STOP! Bridge Out!

By: cachecrashers Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

1:36 pm - As we were scoping out possible locations for this one, MotorBug suddenly yelled "GeoPile!" and there it was. That looked like a fun bridge to walk across, but we decided not to. TNLNSL. Thanks!

Cache-Fishing

By: STP Ron Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

11:39 am - I thought this one would be over by the casting ponds, but there were plenty of people over here fishing too.
MotorBug did his compass calibration dance while I found the cache. Then I made him fix the clock on his Palm because it always looked like he got to caches a minute before me. :) Thanks!

Where's the Dam Cache?

By: STP Ron Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

11:56 am - This one only took a quick look having seen the container a few times earlier in the day. Thanks!

Sudoku Madness

By: trojan_fred Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

1:15 pm - My wife and I solved this on a flight back from New England a while ago. Today MotorBug and I were in the area to grab it. These kinds of puzzles take nicely to outputting coordinates, don't they? It didn't take long to find this, which is a good thing in this location. TNLNSL. Thanks.

C or N?

By: zapboy Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

5:42 pm - Well, I found an N, but it turned out to be the wrong one. Found the right one soon after with a hint. Nice cache. Thanks!

Pheasant Run

By: Bright Shining Stars Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

11 am - I was listening to MotorBug's message on my cell phone threating to leave to go chase a FTF if I didn't get to his house soon when I pulled into his driveway. Tisk, tisk, MotorBug - you said you would give them up after 100. [;)] We headed out and saw no geomobiles in the parking lot. At one point in our search I was surprised when a coworker walked by; he was probably more surprised to see me on a Sunday morning digging around in the bushes.

Markens s howed up after a while. Depite my best efforts to convince him that the cache was archived and he should leave immediately, he d idn't believe me and started his own quest for the FTF. Finally, MotorBug did his thing where he found the cache, then walked far away and announced he had found it. Then markens did the same thing. Bastards! I conceded defeat and they showed me the right area. Yeah, the coords are just a tad off. I'd prefer his coordinates over markens, only because h e uses a Garmin. SMILIE

Thanks for the cache.

Silas started it all

By: WalruZ Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

5:15 pm - MotorBug and I had to wait out a guy who came in at the same time we did. We chatted and MotorBug had a coke while we waited. Lots of cool stuff in this BK. I especially like the floor tiles.
The guy finally left and we switched booths. MotorBug seemed to really like the stories here, but I was too busy working on getting the coordinates. [:D]

We found the cache just fine though it was getting really cold out. TNLNSL. Thanks!

Baylands, Then and Now

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

I stopped by with MotorBug to replace the cache and sign the new log. We were successful on both accounts. Cache on!

Off The Leash - A Kids' Cache

By: PurplePeople Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

3:20 pm - MotorBug made me bushwhack through the poison oak to this one. [:(] He was probably just taking advantage of me because I was wearing shorts. Of course when we got close we found a nice trail.
The cache was nicely stocked. TNLNSL. Thanks!

Pulgas Parking

By: PurplePeople Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

3:33 pm - I didn't realize they had built a new parking area here or I would have parked here. I thought the cache was just to show the general area of where to park. We hit it on the way back after a tour of the park.
MotorBug was more ambitious than I and found the cache far away from where I was looking. His PDA apparently thought it was too was good for him and tried to escape. We got a mile away before MotorBug realized it was missing. We went back and found it sleeping quietly by the creek. Another fine es
cape plan foiled!

Spirit Trap

By: WalruZ Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

5:25 pm - Someday I'm going to keep count of all the caches I've found in places where there used to be another cache. I believe there used to be one under the snail here. I think this one one will last a bit longer. Thanks.

Sylvan Park

By: MotorBug Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

7:38 pm - MotorBug was tight-lipped about hints on this one, so failure was not an option.
I had the right idea right away, but for some reason I checked every other possibility before I found the right one. Since it was dark, I didn't realize that the bushes had thorns on them before I plunged my hand in. Ouch. Thanks!

Back To This Park

By: NavySparksandtheMrs Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

11:59 am - Yes, I'm once again back to this park. MotorBug refound it before I had a chance to find it for the first time! Thanks.

Cedar Street Park

By: Rogue Ramblers Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

4:24 pm - As I was driving through this neighborhood, it started to look familar. I remembered why when I passed my boss's house. Hi boss!
I found the cache quickly under the eyes of muggles. Thanks!

What In The World Is Going On?

By: NavySparksandtheMrs Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

11:45 am - This was a really quick one. MotorBug stayed in the car, and I found it without the GPS. Thanks!

Relax For Awhile#2

By: NavySparksandtheMrs Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

11:52 am - I remember the previous incarnation. This one is a lot tricker. MotorBug wasn't sure about where he found it when he was here, so I found it pretty much on my own. A bit yucky, but got it relatively cleanly. Thanks.

4:11 pm - I think I need to carry around a small notepad or something. Doing these multis by typing the answers and scrolling around takes forever. Anyway, I got them right and found the cache too between laps of runners. Thanks!

Waters Crossing

By: PurplePeople Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

12:13 pm - I thought this was pretty cool. You don't often see a reason for two water flows to have to cross each other.
I looked at the water flowing strongly for a bit then decided it was time to look for the cache. Too bad, MotorBug had already grabbed it! Oh well, thanks for the cache.

Ca Ůadamandu

By: crawburr Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Regular

1:07 pm - I'd call the terrain rating on this one a bit high since it's so short. It was a great clear day out so we took a minute to check out the view. Without any foliage, the cache was very easy to spot. TNLNSL. Thanks!

Going in Circles 2

By: Rogue Ramblers Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

1:22 pm - I drove by this once and thought it would be great place for a cache. Thanks for taking care of that! Although MotorBug had found this cache, he couldn't remember where it was, so I had to do it all by myself. [;)] TNLNSL. Thanks!

Dead End

By: The Mc5 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

12:04 pm - MotorBug had this one in his hand for seconds. It could probably use some reinforcement as we weren't sure it it was going to stay together. Thanks!

Old Oaks, New Trail

By: TimberToo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

2:33 pm - TimberToo and MotorBug told the story. Strange coincidence! Thanks for drying it out for us.

Spooky Spooky Halloween

By: Sierra Hikers Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

4:11 pm - MotorBug was all worked up on this one, calling it "hard". A little spooky, but not hard once you look in the right place! TNLNSL. Thanks.

No Undertakers or Blacksmiths

By: PurplePeople Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

12:24 pm - MotorBug and were chatting as we approached this cache and he made some kind of bodily gesture that I missed. A few seconds later, a woman in an SUV stopped to tell MotorBug he was a good dancer. [:D]
I found the cache after a few minutes. I didn't expect a pond up here. Thanks!

Pirate's Booty

By: Rickshaw Man Difficulty: 4.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Other

2:14 pm - I did the mapwork on this one long ago. Today MotorBug and I found ourselves in the area. When we got there, my GPS read less than 20 feet from where my calibrated map waid it would be. Pretty good! It was quite visible from the trail. I can't believe PisoMajado found this yesterday in all that rain! TNLNSL. Thanks.

An Acre of Dirt

By: L-grl Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

3:53 pm - Hey, this is cool. I didn't know it was here. It's strange to think that Sunnyvale was almost all gardens at one point. Left the white Jeep "Arlena". Thanks!

Look, but don't Touch

By: workerofwood Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

12:51 pm - We started looking and then I realized I didn't have my Treo. Good thing it was an easy find. Took the Thing 1 TB because it didn't really fit in the first place. Thanks.

Guadalupe River: Port of Alviso

By: bullit Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

11:55 am - It's hard to imagine this place being a busy port these days. It's like the town that time forgot. This was my first time out this weekend after battling a cold and I still felt pretty bad while searching. After digging around we spotted it in plain sight. Thanks!

Two Wades

By: Team Nazgul Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

11:51 am - We were headed over the railroad tracks when I noticed the arrow pointing in another direction. Thanks for pointing out this bit of history.

Alviso Marina -- Nature and History Walk

By: bullit Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

12:31 pm - They did a nice job renovating this park - so much so that there were all kinds of people out today walking around and reading the plaques. We enjoyed the walk on this nice day and found the cache safely. TNLNSL. Thanks!
