Foreign Money Exchange II

By: i4ani Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

10:11 am - Geez, if anyone needs a Quonset hut locationless, there are a ton on this road. I never noticed them before.
The cache wasn't hard to find and I TNLNSL. Thanks for the cache.

massabesic video cache

By: i4ani Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

10:42 am - I've never been out here before. With trucks rumbling by and the sound of gunshots, I was trying my best not to look like a deer.
The trail was kinda tough to find, but eventually I found a little one that led to the fire road. There was a nice collection of stuff in the cache, but I didn't have anything good to trade, so I TNLNSL. Thanks.

Clark Pond ... aka Turtle Pond

By: CandiaSven Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

11:12 am - There are so many quiet undeveloped ponds in New Hampshire. This was a another nice one I didn't know about. I found the first cache just fine and then did the walk to the final, trying to keep my signal. Is every cache in New Hampshire hidden in this way?? Thanks for the cache.

Cache or Charge?

By: June of Ryans_geopirates Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

10:24 am - I grew up in Manchester, but I don't ever remember coming out here. Nice place. TNLNSL. Thanks!

Weston Observatory

By: svargon Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

9:55 am - I used to run the cross country trails here in high school. All those hills made for a tough course.
I found the cache OK and TNLNSL. Thanks!

Nashua Heritage Rail-Trail

By: cache_test_dummies Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

12:59 pm - After some tough caches in Mine Falls, I needed a quick 'n easy one. This one did the trick. Nice camo. Thanks!

Bronze and Stone - Nashua Edition

By: Mountain_Wanderer Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

11:50 am - Well, they say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so I'm flattered!
A relative of mine told me about this cache modeled after mine, so I just had to check it out next time I was in the area. I found all the waypoints yesterday, but by the time I got them all and did some other caches along the way it was too dark to get to the cache. Not that I didn't try of cours
e, but I started on the wrong side of the river and decided that was enough caching for the day.

The cache was in a good spot for collecting a bunch of other caches though, so I went out the next morning to claim a bunch. They were all quite tough though with plentiful tree cover and lots of leaves
. All the water around here sure plays tricks on you too.

I wandered quite a bit for this one until I finally found it, with my coordinates indicating it should be elsewhere. I let my GPSr average for a bit, and the coordinates ended up only 5 feet away. So I guess they're OK. :-)

TNLNSL. Thanks
for the history lesson and fun!

Gatehouse Cache

By: Me & My4Girls Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

10:59 am - I had to wander a bit to find this one. There were a lot of people here at this time for some reason, including a guy carrying a guitar.
One couple with a dog went by and the dog came up to greet me. His owner then said the dog was interested in my GPS. OK, then!

I waited for all of them to pass before I grabbed the cache. TNLNSL. Thanks.

Freddie ?s Foreign Exchange

By: Pugster Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

12:39 pm - I left my bag and jacket on the other side of the stream when I crossed the log and now I was feeling nervous about where I left them, so I hustled back to the spot to grab them, hoping they'd still be there. They were. Afterwards I backtracked to this cache. I'm sure not used to all the treecover around here. The cache was not too hard though. TNLNSL. Thanks!

Trails from Rails

By: Jackie and Bob Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

1 pm - This is the other end of the Nashua, NH Heritage Rail Trail. I just happened across this one while doing some Thanksgiving caching.

Casper+Snickers Cache #2

By: nhgoldens Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

1:11 pm - I took the hard way in for this one over the fence. Soon I realized I didn't need to be all the way over there and bushwacked a bit to get to the cache. Easy find, TNLNSL. Thanks.

It's No Hoover!

By: gferrari Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

11:35 am - Man, this was a tough one. My GPSr was all over the place. I searched for at least a half hour and finally made a wild guess and kicked it. All the while I searched I had the place to myself until the exact moment I found the cache when a family appeared out of nowhere, followed by a random guy.
Once they all left, I grabbed the cache. I took the M
&
M TB to get him on his way. Thanks for the cache!

NH #1 - Mines Follies

By: Paul Lamere Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

12:09 pm - I should have stuck with my first instinct on how to get with this one. Instead I had to backtrack a bit and then crossed a log rather than going by the bridge. Little did I know there was another bridge not too far in the other direction.
The cache was an easy find and I TNLNSL. Thanks!

Birds of a Feather

By: Me & My4Girls Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

4:02 pm - Phew, finally a quick one in Nashua. There were some people parked right by here before - maybe MountainMoe?

Nashua History Cache (Updated)

By: Me & My4Girls Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

3:17 pm - Hmm, never did figure out Daniel Abbot. Maybe if I followed the parking instructions, that would have turned out better, but I really didn't need it.
If I was paying attention I could have saved myself a return trip to this place for the Bronze and Stone cache.

The stairs were tricky and I spent a long time wandering around looking for the cache. I finally found it just before I was about to give up - 80 feet away from where my coordinates wer
e pointing. There were lots of spots maching the description. I took a hikers2 magnet. Thanks for the history lesson.

Mighty Merrimack Cache

By: kaweeks Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

Mountain Wanderer's Coin Cache

By: Mountain_Wanderer Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Other

2:47 pm - I'm here from out of town and I didn't read the description beforehand. I searched through my bag and found only one coin - a 2002 time - only one year off. I hope that's OK. Thanks for the cache.

KIAS Letterbox/Geocache Hybrid

By: TheBenfields Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

12:48 pm - This was a cool place in three ways - the view of the airport, the pet cemetary and a cache! The logbook and bags were nicely constructed. I found the cache about 35 feet away from the posted coordinates. TNLNSLTFFC.

Moores Crossing

By: Moose-r-us Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

11:37 am - I felt lucky to find it quickly considering all the places to look and all the leaves covering the cache. I never knew this trail was here. TNLNSL. Thanks!

Upstream

By: Moose-r-us Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

11:47 am - This was an easy walk upstream. I found the cache OK and TNLNSL. On the walk back it began to rain so I had to do doubletime. Thanks!

Pine Island Cache

By: Team Monarchs Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

12:28 pm - Well, I found about half of the waypoints, but the last one was the only one that counted. From there I found the cache without much trouble. Nice job on the camo. TNLNSL. Thanks!

Moore's Falls

By: ddhill Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

1:07 pm - I started out on my hike to this cache and then I realized I forgot my palm with the description. I made a snap decision to not go back for it, which could have turned out very badly.
On the way to the cache it started raining. I was lucky enough to find the right trail and the cache after a few minutes of searching. TNLNSL. I decided to bushwack to the car until I caught up with the trail. Unfortunately it was full of water at one point, so I had to go off-trail again. It all
turned out well though. Thanks for the cache!

By: John Jones Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

7:09 pm - Quick find on this one. Kerplunk!

Solar Power

By: kirs Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

8:20 pm - I had to IM a lifeline for this one. There are lots of places to look for this one, and it was tough in the dark. Finally I got a hold of it. I might have dropped a trinket from the cache in the ivy, but I couldn't find it with my flashlight. TNLNSL. Thanks.

Ultimate Battleship: L13

By: Alan Smithee Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

7:43 pm - I just couldn't see this one from one side, so I went over to the other side and it was much easier. Thanks again.

Ultimate Battleship: J15

By: Alan Smithee Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

8:27 pm - I managed to wait out the security guy, but when he left, there were some (homeless?) people hanging out near the cache. Another day, perhaps.

By: BADGES Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

Ooh, that workerofwood is tricksies! Luckily we had some help and several eyes.
Congrats on 3000 and I'll see you there about this time next year if I don't stumble upon a real life.

Outta Play

By: MuirBoys Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

Plant Grapes Everywhere

By: Right Turn Only Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

U Qwack Me Up :)

By: Two Hawks aka Night Tracker Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

2:32 pm - We weren't sure about the trail, but we eventually found the right one. Cool container! TNLNSL.
Afterwards we headed down to the water to check out a cool tree that was just clinging on to to the cliff. Thanks for the cache.

21 Mile House

By: OldFolk Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Other

1:30 pm - Nice little multi. The cache was pretty easy to find. Thanks!

San Pedro Ponds Trail

By: dpsmedic & Daughter Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

1:57 pm - The cache wasn't hard to find, but then my wife got tired of jumping in and out of the car for caches, so we HAD to take a walk around one of the ponds. Luckily it was short. Thanks!

Wright stop

By: OldFolk Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

12:04 pm - We went right on Wright and found the cache right to our right. The coords were right on! Nice camo job. Thanks for the cache.

CACHE BOX

By: EHYAMO Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

3:49 pm - Ah, you fooled us! After grabbing the "Key" from Pine Tree Palace, we walked back to the posted coordinates to find the locked box. Only when we got there did we realize that the coordinates were on the TB. Oops, we had to walk back. We found the cache OK, but were momentarily confused as to the purpose of the the TB. Anyway, we TNLNSL. TFTC!

HJBTJ

By: Tiny & Brooke Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

2:59 pm - Boy, this is an old cache. And it was a very easy find as well. TNLNSL. Thanks.

By: EHYAMO Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

Bang Bang

By: Pedalman Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

Good Reverberations

By: Anatra Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

12:36 pm - We did the right thing right away, but nothing jumped out at us, so we weren't sure we did it right. :-)
Thanks for the cache.

Tri Valley Travel Bug Hotel

By: CAhikers2x2 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

11:05 am - No mugglers here! Part of the crew jumped out to grab the cache and we backed up the blitzmobile to meet up with them. TNLNSL. Thanks!

Da Alamo Bears

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

3:50 pm - U-turn #12 of the day. Cute bears! We didn't feed them despite their repeated requests. Thanks.

Rock Your World

By: EMC of Northridge, CA Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

3:01 pm - The coords seemed quite a bit off on this one, but I knew it when I saw it. Duck, duck, goose, there's the cache. TNLNSL. Thanks.

Independence Day

By: DavidT21 & Fisherwoman Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

8:35 am - This was a bit of a cruel spot to place a cache. Not for me of course, but for Nazgul who actually retreived it. Thanks DavidT and WalruZ I assume. TNLNSL.

The Dog

By: Marky & Joani Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

2:53 pm - Mmm, tasty. The fish found something fishy and there was the cache. However, they were floundered that the cache was not fish-friendly. Interesting hide though and thanks.

Fox Creek

By: CKayaks Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

4:53 pm - The others were having trouble, so I jumped out and helped and even managed to find the cache while we tried to avoid the looks of the taxi drivers nearby. Nostrada wanted to stay longer... if I say much more I might get him in trouble. TFTC.

Wolves

By: VedaCachers Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

2:05 pm - There was a guy "streching" who was really curious about what we were doing. digitalfish finally found the cache while we blocked the guy's view and whistled our way back to the car. Thanks.

LPFD # 1

By: Cap'n Jack Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

7:53 am - Our coordinates were disagreeing a bit, but Nazgul produced the cache after a few minutes. Thanks!

Let's Be Frank

By: Blue Blaze Irregulars Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

5:15 pm - We wandered over to this one in the darkness, passing by a holiday craft fair.
I could see the cache, but couldn't grab it. I said to workerofwood "Stick your hand in there!". He responded with a definitive "No!". Then he saw the cache and grabbed it for us. Thanks for the fun!

It ?s a Graveyard Cache

By: Cap'n Jack Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

7:17 am - It's a bad sign when you're out caching and your GPSr is in night mode. It's even worse when you're still caching when it goes BACK into night mode. That was what we did today on our "Blitz". We made the first of many u-turns today. WoW found it and it was off for fifty-something more! Thanks!

Park 3701

By: Cap'n Jack Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

7:39 am - U-turn #3 of the day. One of the digitalfish and I spotted it simultaneously while the rest were looking elsewhere. Thanks for the cache!

Anna Karenina

By: GeoROCKS! Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

8:55 am - U-turn #4 of the day. We tried the wrong driving approach to this one. On our second attempt, we found the park.
We played a gamble with the right side of the creek. MotorBug won, but he couldn't find the cache. I got there but couldn't find it either. Finally that Nazgul guy walked right up to it.

I guess I've found all of the Pole Position series now. Too bad the lid numbers aren't useful.

Bring Your Baseball Cap

By: TheEngagers Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

12:47 pm - I'm sure glad soccer is in season - it might have been tough to search for this one. "Fool me once..." workerofwood said as he looked in the right spot where he had missed a previous hide. Thanks for the cache.

"Thanks Boss"

By: WRITE SHOP ROBERT Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

5:00 pm - U-turns #15 and #16 of the day. I was looking on the wrong side of the lot when the others found it. Nice hide. Thanks!

DVC 123 #2

By: GeogeeksxX Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

5:34 pm - It was late and there were a lot of people around, so I made use of the excellent hint and it led me right to it. TNLNSL. Thanks!

El Cerro

By: JDEnd Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

2:14 pm - One these marathon cache days, there's always a cache that for the life of me I can't remember a thing about. On this day, it was this one. I was there though with the east bay blitz group. Thanks!

Arch You Glad to be Married?

By: TheEngagers Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

12:40 pm - This one fooled us mostly because we thought we were looking for a regular-sized container. I'd call this a micro. Nice camo. Thanks.

Chilpancingo Evil

By: Andy and Robin(adopted by jellis50) Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

5:44 pm - The last cache and final u-turn (#17) of the day. We had the whole gang scouring the area until I managed to find the well-cammoed cache. Thanks for the fun!

Barrel of Monkeys

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

12:59 pm - After avoiding parking lot security, we gave this one a thorough search and found the crate of simians. They were a bit smaller than we expected, but definitely still there. Thanks for the cache.

Prospero's Prolific Programming Primates

By: fizzymagic Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

10:30 am - I guess I work with a lot of monkeys. Does that make me a monkey too? Probably so, as this one made a lot of sense to me. Digitalfish made the find in a spot that a few others had checked already. Nicely done. Thanks!

5000 Found

By: bthomas Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

2:35 pm - This was a drive up - but only for some of us. Nazgul spotted it from the other side, so Nostrada, MotorBug and I drove around and right up to it while the others had to walk around. Ha! Congrats on 5000 or should I say 6000?

Olympic Sphere

By: Team Oakhurst Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

4:10 pm - workerofwood got impatient and decided to walk to the cache instead of waiting for the parking lot traffic to clear. It did clear and we beat him to the cache. :-)
I was only 5 feet out of the car when MotorBug declared he had found it. On to the next one, then! Thanks.

Pleasanton Porto

By: bykenut Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

8:00 am - I would probably classify this as a puzzle cache rather than a multi. If it was a puzzle I would have realized last time I was in the area that I had to do some research at home first!
Anyway, I did that and arrived with the "Blitz" to do the final two stages. I didn't bring all the answers from the first part, so I had to look them up on the fly. Luckily it was just in time and we ran over to the cache. Boy, that Nagzul guy is quick! Thanks.

Sweet Baboo's Home Run

By: sweetbaboo (adopted by Oculus) Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

9:12 am - U-turn #5. Boy, Workerofwood is quick. He found the cache and the log that was not a log. It was soggy. Thanks!

Green Achers Code Cache

By: Green Achers Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

9:25 am - I solved this one in September and finally made it out here to claim the cache today. We went west on east rd to find this one, which was many confusing directions we shouted at the designated driver during the course of the day.
digitalfish were upset that the cache was not fish-friendly. What can you do?

For some reason I felt a bit tingly in this park. Nazgul said it might be the only place that you might not mind getting bit by a spider!

Thanks for the puzzle and cache.

Computer Art

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

2:24 pm - This looked like a pretty straightforward puzzle, and it was. When we got to the location, I started to get my doubts and was embarrassed that I had led the group to the wrong place. A call to the owner cleared that up though and we found it in a place we just hadn't checked. Thanks!

Pleasure Island?

By: fizzymagic Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

8:13 am - One of the fish got this one in a place a few of us had already looked. There were dogs barking on every side of this park - what a racket! Thanks.

Quit Iron Horsing Around!

By: fizzymagic Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

11:55 am - I looked in the right place first, but didn't quite spot it. I checked some other places, but then came back to the most interesting spot as I followed where workerofwood's eyes were pointing. I just got close enough to see a part of it. Well done. Thanks for the toughie.

Limit warning

By: str8shot & 10dersoul & avalanche7 Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

2:47 pm - U-turn #11 of the day. Hmm, nostrada noticed that no one is running anymore after seven hours of caching. It happens to the the best of us. Thanks for the cache.

Alamo Guy

By: bthomas Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

3:25 pm - I'd like to take a minute of your time to tell you about a serious condition that may affect you or someone you love. It's called TGB or Temporary Geocacher Blindness.
TGB is a debilitating condition that results in senseless driving, wandering and DNFs.

Take this geocacher, workerofwood, for example. He's found hundreds upon hundreds of caches, yet TGB has caused him to struggle with the simplest of caches such as this very one.

Many TGB suffers have found
help in enlisting assistants to "see" for them. If you can, please volunteer your time such as I did on the cache, to help those afflicted with TGB and help lessen their pain. Thanks for your support.

Blarney-A-Blaze

By: GlobeSniffer Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

4:20 pm - After battling a ton of shopping traffic in Walnut Creek, we rolled up to this one. We saw it right away and made the grab. Thanks.

Iron Horse Trail - Part 4

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

1:09 pm - I was getting pretty tired of launching myself out of the 3rd row of the minivan by this point, so I stayed back with with the car while the others searched. While I waited I got to watch a girl standing in the grass having some kind of seance with nature. Alrighty then. The job was soon done and we were off to the next. Thanks!

Nugunslinger's Secret Hiding Spot

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

3:34 pm - I got a late start out of the van and just as I caught up with everyone else, the cache was found by workerofwood. This was a neat area though. TNLNSL. Thanks.

Black Pool

By: N2Books2 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

11:29 am - U-turn #7 of the day. Motorbug took all the fun out of this one when he found the cache before we finished counting! Oh well. TFTC!

Kids Cache 1

By: Tonto2002 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

8:29 am - We had a quick walk over from another nearby cache to this one. Upon the find, MotorBug commented that he hadn't seen a cache yet during our early morning blitz! Thanks.

Don't Worry

By: Artzest Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

4:42 pm - U-turn #14 of the day. We got to enjoy the self-humiliation of workerofwood who DNFed this one once before but today walked right up to it. Sometimes they're just too easy I guess. Thanks.

TNLN, I Don't Think So #1

By: Jimswim Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

12:16 pm - I returned to this one with hint from the owner and reinforcemnts! I spotted it almost right away. Cool hide.
I still had my collection of coins too, so I spread them around with the group. I took an 87 nickel and left an 86 quarter. Thanks!

Passerella iliaca

By: N2Books2 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

7:34 am - U-turn #2 of the day. I found this one once before, but couldn't find it today.

Northern CA Solar System Model: Planet Saturn

By: TeamJiffy Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

9:49 am - A lifeline gave us a whack with a cluestick on this one and I ran back to grab Saturn. It was right in a spot someone had "checked" earlier. Hmmm, can you fire a geocacher? :-D
It's been a long time since one of these solar system has been close to where I'm caching. I wonder when I'll finally finish them? Thanks!

The Big Picture

By: fizzymagic Difficulty: 5.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

10:41 am - I solved this one a long, long time ago when I was working on The Little Pictures. Of course it didn't help for that cache. Recently I went through all my nearest puzzles and found that I had lost the coordinates for this one, so I had to resolve it.
I was here with the group on the blitz, but I stayed in the car since I did the hard part. Jumping out of the third row of a minivan gets really tiring after the 30th time! Thanks.

Iron Horse Trail (IH1)

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

3:46 pm - We drove right up the alley to this one and made the quick grab. TFTC!

Nuts N' Bolts

By: SARCRZY Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

9:05 am - We made some predictions about where this one would be hidden and the type of container. We were wrong on both counts, but the cache was still found within 5 seconds. I didn't have time to get out of the car! Thanks.

Iron Horse Trail - Part 2

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

4:31 pm - I think if you keep going on this trail, you'll end up in Canada. It sure seemed long.
The cache was missing so we replaced it with permission from the owner. Thanks.

1:57 pm - We all jumped out and tackled the area. After searching for a few minutes, someone said "What's this thing right here?" and I replied "It's a cache!" Great! On we go. Thanks!

Northern CA Solar System Model: Titan

By: bthomas Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

9:44 am - We decided to split the group for this one, a couple going after Saturn and another going for Titan. Of course we hadn't read the description.
So three of us tackled the four corners and one of us came up with a cache. But it was Titan! I thought we were the Saturn group. No matter, let's see how the other group was doing - they're wandering around aimlessly.

To be continued...

8:04 am - Glad to see my previous damage has been repaired. :-)

stAirway to Heaven

By: CatToy Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

10:59 am - Interesting place! I'm glad we didn't have to look for a physical cache. :-)

IQ Test #2

By: fizzymagic Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

8:28 am - I solved this one back in September but only made it over here now. My calculations were apparently not accurate enough as we found the cache over 100 feet away!
That's OK though as it was an easy area to search. Nostrada pulled out of his designated driver role and showed us newbies how it's done here! TNLNSL. Thanks.

Centennial Curse

By: fizzymagic Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Virtual

10:07 am - Digitalfish and I were frantically trying to resolve a nearby puzzle when we came across this one. Interesting spot. Thanks!

Double Agent

By: Lamneth Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Other

10:21 am - U-turn #6 of the day. Oops, I made a mistake in my calculations.
The challenge was to recalculate the coordinates and remember how I solved the last part two months ago. I had some help with my Mom on the French back then.

digitalfish and I were working on it based some quick math and retrieval of my notes. We were stopped for a minute when we entered our new
final coordiantes and saw them to be -- 60 feet away! That's some nice navigating there!

Nazgul made the find. Interesting cache in many respects, thanks.

Emerald Oasis

By: Marky Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

11:13 am - This was a really neat park with some cool fountains and convenient restrooms. :-) Quick find. Thanks!

Got Gas?

By: KURTULEAS Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

10:51 am - We didn't need gas, but Nazgul did a great job cleaning the windshield while the cache was found. Nostrada only gave him a penny for his efforts. What a cheapskate! Thanks for the quick pitstop. This was the first cache I've seen placed like this. I can't believe it's lasted this long. How many years before they have to tear up the pumps and put in new ones? Thanks!

JPC #1 - Sea of Ivy

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

8:57 am - I searched for a while, but I was getting late for work, so I called a lifeline. It turns out my coordinates were putting me a whole different place. In the right place, the hint made sense, but it still took me a long time to spot the darn thing. I almost gave up. Even with my trusty Stick(TM), I got a lot of ivy gunk on me and even some in my eye, which really hurt.
Thanks for the challenge!

Sunnyvale history

By: CTomGeo Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

8:30 am - I've been here once before for another cache and considered placing one here, but couldn't find a place for an ammo box with all the homeless people around. Today there were a few homeless wandering about, but thankfully not near the waypoints or the final cache.
The clues were straightforward and I found the cache without much trouble. TNLNSL. Thanks for the history. I've gone by this a bunch of times but never spent enough time to actually read what that big thing is.

There's also a De Anza trail marker here, but I guess there's no room for Marky to pl
ace a cache for his series. Thanks.

Take a Break

By: garyhenry Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

12:16 pm - There were some people here when we passed by the first time, so we caught it on the way back. We were starting to feel tired, so a break was nice. Thanks!

The Bridges of Coy-O-Te

By: Team Nazgul Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

1:27 pm - We did two of the waypoints for this one on our way North, then hit the last few coming back. There were some neat spots along the way.
I thought I was going to have to brush up on my braille at first, but then we found the right signs.

We found the cache on the ground and couldn't figure out where it was before, so I put it in a slightly different spot and let the owner know.

OK, so now my GPSr is in UTM mode, but how do I put
it back?? :-) Thanks.

Cactus Tank

By: Pedalman Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Not chosen

11:48 am - Weird. I'm curious what would cause a cactus to grow like that. Is attracted to something from the tank? Heat?
Anyway, the cache wasn't hard and a good excuse to take a break. We had to be careful as there was cactus all over the place and you could easily walk into some on the ground. TNLNSL. Thanks.

Coyote Valley View

By: dpsmedic Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Regular

3:21 pm - This one looked sooo close from the bike trail; but looks can be deceiving.
We didn't really see a trail going up to the top, so my wife and I had a very polite and calm discussion about which way to go. Ha! Not quite.

We clambered up our way to Sunset Ridge, then rode most of the way to the cache, though parts would best be described as a bike "drag", not a bike ride. I
think this would be much easier as a hike than on a bike, but maybe that's just based on my biking abilities.

My bike got "tired" a short distance from the cache, so I hiked up the rest of the way. We found the cache easily, but TNLN.

The way down sure was a lot easier! We just flew down those h
ills. We followed the carin down one trail only to have it dead-end at a stack of brush. We decided to just drag our bikes over it. Then I thought I saw where the trail came up to the left of the rock outcropping, so we went down that way. Nope, that dead-ended too. We had to pull our bikes back up,
then down again through the burned out forest. The brush kept trying to steal our bikes and we had to wrestle them away.

Finally we made it back down to the bottom and were thankful for the pavement that took us back down to our car at the bike trail parking lot. Thanks for the adventure!

Sunset Ridge

By: dpsmedic & Daughter Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 4.0 Container: Regular

2:39 pm - This was indeed a toughie. It probably wouldn't have been a bad hike at all, but we brought our bikes. We went back and forth on bottom and didn't see a trail, so we opted to go up just at the end of the fence. It sure was steep and we were exhaused from hauling our bikes up when we got to the top.
The cache was thankfully an easy find as I wobbled over on my tired legs. This was a really nice perspective on the lake and the valley. TNLNSL. Thanks!

"DUCK"

By: EHYAMO Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

12:34 pm - This spot was cool x 2. I left a USDA pen and took a golf ball. We watched the planes do acrobatic tricks as we biked by. Pretty neat. Thanks.

Coyote Bike Trail Homestead

By: Pedaler Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Other

12:59 pm - This was a fun diversion from the trail as went bumping across the field. The cache was guarded by some nasty big black bugs. TNLNSL. Thanks!

Coyote Bike Trail Overview

By: Pedaler Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Other

11:13 am - This was the first cache we found on our 23 mile bike ride in the area. While we waited for some muggles to pass, I took some time to put some more air in my tires.
Once they left, I took the hard way up, found the cache, and took the old road back down. TNLNSL. Thanks!

Return to Hamburger Hill

By: Mohetka Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

9:34 am - I have returned! I found the original and now I have found the replacement. I picked the wrong parking area, but it was a nice day for a walk.
The camo was excellent. I touched it "just in case" and was surprised when it turned out to be the cache. TNLNSL. Thanks!

Assume Nothing #4- Black Book

By: workerofwood Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

8:31 am - With all the similar puzzles out there, I was surprised that I hadn't seen this type before. I solved it pretty quickly.
At the final location I spotted where I had to go, and searched for a while, but turned up nothing.

So, I did the next logical thing - I looked up the owner's number in the black book and called him! After some chit chat, he narrowed me down a bit and I found it in a place I didn't check through
ly enough earlier.

I still don't get the hint, but I guess that's OK. Thanks!

Knick Knack Pattie got Wacked

By: Team LegGoes Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Regular

11:39 am - This was a busy place today - I guess business is good!
There were some people walking around in hawaiian shirts and leis - now that's the way to go.

I found Patty then looked around to make sure. I think "date" and "day" in the description should both be changed to year.

So what's the story with Pattie anyway? How do you know she got wacked and didn
't wack herself?

Found the cache easily and TNLSNL. Thanks.

Riding Fences

By: Two Hawks Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

11:03 am - This was a nice, flat hike. I looked in the right spot first, but didn't see it, so I checked a bunch of other places. Finally I checked the first spot more throughly and grabbed it. One of the objects mentioned in the log wasn't there anymore, so I replaced it. Thanks.

The Tardis

By: Team Nazgul Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

3:49 pm - As we were walking up the trail, a guy running by asked if I was learning how to use that thing in my hand. I told him that I thought I was already pretty good at it.
Then he asked if I've ever done that thing where people "cache" things. :-)

We chatted for a bit and then he continued his run, leaving us to search for the cache. Relatively easy find. Thanks!

Assume Nothing #5

By: workerofwood Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

4:38 pm - #1800!! We hit this one on the way back down from our short hike around Quicksilver. Great views from up here. It was pretty easy to spot. As we were opening it up, we heard one of the kids we ran into at the last cache yell "Did you find the **** **** yet?" Yup, we did. TNLNSL. Thanks for the cache!

The Cache with the ReallyReallyReally Long Name

By: The Petoskey Stones Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

10:16 am - Yikes mind the poison oak here - it's all over the place! I found it easily and I "needed" the flourescent golf balls, so I made a second trip with a stuffed weinermobile for the trade. Thanks for the cache!

Carrabelle Cache

By: The Petoskey Stones Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

10:04 am - This one was in too obvous of a spot. Therefore, it took me a while to spot. Don't you know there are rules about where these kinds of things should be placed?? :-) Thanks for the cache.

Canada Invades San Jose!

By: Nurse Dave Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

8:54 am - Did you know that 90% of the Canadian population lives within 100 miles of the US Border? They're massing for an invasion I tell you!
I've been here before, but not up this trail. I made a mistake in my math at first and ended up going in the wrong direction. Once I fixed that I found it easily. TNLNSL. Just as I got up, I saw someone running by who looked startled that I just popped out. More Canucks! They're running to their p
ositions. Take cover!

Pole Position (Micro)

By: GeoROCKS! Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

9:15 am - I really don't understand why someone would be "penalized" for finding a cache first.
Apparently "a few" is at least six, still no number underneath the lid. Not that they're useful in any way so far.

Rincon Hump

By: Thefogheads Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

3:10 pm - These are the kinds of caches that get me in trouble with my wife. This was just "one more cache" on the way to where we were really going. I took a few wrong turns (ok, more than a few), then ended up in in a spot where we were completely visble. She walked while I took a systematic approach to searching. Found it! Thanks.

Quickwood Microwood

By: The Petoskey Stones Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Jack's Jack O'Lantern

By: The Petoskey Stones Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

10:35 am - These people walking around the neighborhood must be wondering what I'm doing. I keep running into the same people as I pop out in differenc spots.
I found the cache easily and was momentarily puzzled about the whereabouts of the log book. Ohhhh, it opens. Cool. TNLNSL. Thanks.

Tool B

9:55 am - I searched for a bit and was just about to read the description (yes, I cache backwards) when I spotted it. TNLNSL. Thanks!

New Almaden Trail

By: Team Nazgul Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

4:23 pm - We went all the way up the trail to the fence, then cut left along the fence, taking some interesting trails. We ran into a flock of about 40 wild turkeys, all checking their calendars and looking around nervously.
It took us a while to find the cache, even given its bizarre camo. TNLNSL. Thanks.

Webb Canyon (Nazgul Secret Trailhead #1)

By: Team Nazgul Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

3:48 pm - While I was stumbling around looking for the description, Anne pointed to it and said, "It's right here, stupud." OK, so she didn't say that, but she probably should have because I walked right by it. TNLNSL. Thanks.

Crawl-through Tree

By: Team Nazgul Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Small

4:30 pm - This was a neat trail to walk down as the sun hung low on a beautiful fall day. Just as we reached the cache we saw several kids and a few adults wandering around on the hillside. One of them had a GPSr, so I asked if they had found it yet. Nope. I happened to be in the right spot, and nabbed it quickly, sharing my find with the kids. It's always nice to meet other cachers on the trail. TNLNSL. Thanks.

This was quite the nice neigborhood! I found the cache on my second pass. Thanks!

Permanent Diversion

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

3:23 pm - I think the description should be replaced with nostrada's log. Hilarious!
Hey, why are you so down on this bench? It's both informative AND supportive.

I missed bykenut by a mere 9 minutes. Thanks for the cache!

Magic Forest

By: WeBeDnD Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

8:27 am - On the way to the cache I drove by two ladies out for a Sunday walk, still tressed in their teddy bear pajamas.
At the cache site, all that Elfin magic was messing up my GPSr. I finally found the cache a ways a way from where I was initially looking. Thanks for the magical fun!

California Ave. Art

By: Rain734 Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

9:41 am - I think by definition a 6-stage multi is harder than 1 1/2 stars, but that's just me. Some of these stages were tricky though. At the quails, I assumed the owner knew as much about birds as I did and counted them all which seemed to work. I've always thought that this art was neat, but I hadn't seen all of it.
I found the cache floating in a pool of water. Since film cans aren't waterproof, the log was soaked and I could barely sign it. Hey, I wonder where I can get one of those 33-mm cameras? :-)

Romantic Rendezvous 1 ? NEM

WALK YOUR BIKE

By: trode Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

12:52 pm - I searched for this one for at least a half hour, trying every possible angle. Finally I called a lifeline and got confirmation that I was searching in the right place even if I couldn't see it. Finally I attacked the problem from another angle and found the cache which was displaced and not where it's supposed to me. I resecured it, but it might need a better magnet. Thanks.

Dish Drink

By: dw Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

10:12 am - I've never quite understood the appeal of the dish, but there always seems to be a lot of people here. Something called the "Dish Dash" was going on today and people with race shirts were on the trails. I've been here a few times, but never used this entrance.
As I passed anothe entrance, some people were struggling to get in with a gate which was accidentally still locked. I let them in.

I found the cache quickly and then went out the entrance I opened back to the car to avoid going up and down the hill. Cute pencil! Thanks for the cache.

Jolly Micro

By: The Petoskey Stones Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

3:48 pm - I parked and noticed a familiar vehicle right in front of me. I went up to the window and asked them for some ID. (See my log for "More Power to You").
I was the accidental recipient of a hint on this one, so I walked right to it and grabbed it. That's one secure attachment device. I've seen a couple of these recently and it gave me an idea. Yesterday I went home, found some old hard drives and started smashing them to bits. :-)

Thanks!

Bridge to the Past

By: bullit and mickeychopchop Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Small

1:56 pm - I had some trouble finding the description because I remembered the old title and didn't realized it had changed.
I've been here once before while doing "A Sunny Day in the Park". We miscalculated some coordinates and ended up wandering around here.

I found the cache OK and TNLNSL. This campus will soon be occupied by Marvell which currently is leasing one of Yahoo's buildings on Mathilda.

This cache was i
n a perfect location since I was in desperate need of a sandwich which was closeby to where I parked. Thanks!

Rabbits For Rosco

By: RoscoC Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

1:10 pm - Poor SGI. It used to be THE place to work and now it's downsized from a big complex to just a few buildings. Sad.
I did see a namesake rabbit hopping along as I went for the cache. The container was an easy find and I TNLNSL. Thanks.

San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail: Great America

By: bullit and mickeychopchop Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

1:41 pm - This one could have been a drive up, but I gave up too early and walked down from Tasman instead. Oh well.
I found the easiest way to get the cache out was to remove the top while still inside. Thanks!

Zeno's Paradox

By: Chris & Janet Difficulty: 3.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

11:20 am - I was thankful soccer was in season, not baseball, which made this cache accessible. Or it would have if I had found it. I looked in the same place as before but couldn't find it. I think it's missing again.

GeoJack's Park

By: Kreebelle & Kids Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Other

4:22 pm - I came back for my third try on this one armed with yet more hints. I surprised myself by actually finding the first stage quickly. I'm sure I checked there before, but it's well hidden.
I was hoping that I didn't have to go north to find the cache as it was blocked off for more construction. Can't they just leave this park alone? It seems like they're always doing something to it.

South was the way to go luckily and I passed by some dogs, one of which really wanted to play with
me. I told him I didn't have anything to play with, but the owner informed me that the dog had spotted the lanyard on my "phone" and wanted to play with that. Hmm, I don't think so. It's a little too expensive for that.

Thankfully most of the activity was going on north of where the cache was, so I
was able to grab it without too much difficulty. TNLNSL. Thanks for the cache!

Plant Grapes Everywhere

By: Right Turn Only Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

6:02 pm - I really don't get this multi. It appears to encourage you to walk along train tracks to several uninteresting locations. I drove back and forth between them instead.
The coordinates at several locations seemed to be off. I double-checked my answers, but ended up at an intersection that couldn't be the final location. I guess I'll have to seek some help on this one.

Mainline weaving operations

12:29 pm - I too, look forward to the day when this project is completed. It's bigger than I thought it was. Remember when you couldn't see Microsoft from 101?
I found the answers easily enough and drove to the next waypoint. There I had a heck of a time finding the well-hidden cache. How about something slightly bigger? I've seen ammo cans hidden along this path. Thanks for the cache.

A Memorial to Our Lost Veterans

By: Team LegGoes Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

7:10 pm - I searched very thoroughly for the first stage as my signal bounced around after a long day of caching. Finally I saw it and had a good laugh. At the second stage I had a lot of trouble. I looked all over the place, but finally decided to go give up. I went home and saw about getting some hints.
At 10 I found out that my wife's flight was going to be late and I needed to do something to stay awake. I know - how about more Geocaching? Armed with the hint I found it in a few minutes. Nice memorial. Thanks!

Herring Box

By: Rain734 Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

9:13 am - It was deja vu all over again on this one. There was another cache that had this sign as a waypoint and this park as another. I had quite a bit of trouble finding the cache, so I made a lifeline call to spot the tiny little cache. TNLN (of course). Thanks.

Mayfield Puzzle

By: budd-rdc Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Micro

11:05 am - This one was a lot of fun. I got lucky on my first drive by and found the route to the cache, but there was no where to stop so I ended up driving a long ways away before I could get back. Puzzle 1 solved.
I found the tool first and having not read the description, I was thorougly confused. Where's the log sheet?? Reading the description helped. I followed the instructions and spotted the cache. Neat! The tool worked and I grabbed the cache. Puzzle 2 solved. As I was signing the log a woman passed b
y with her dog. I'm sure I looked pretty strange in this odd spot with the the tool. Oh well. Thanks for the cache!

By: cc Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

10:40 pm - I had to pick up my wife at the airport at 11, so I had to be quick about this one. There used to be another cache here, but I guess it's gone now. I found it after checking a few spots. The hint cracked me up. TNLNSL. Thanks!

Stellar Reasoning

By: bytemobile Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

7:30 pm - This one was pretty straightforward after having done Hyperbolic Reasoning. I used some code that did just as the description suggests - test and iterate.
It was a nice night to be here. Thanks for further improving my reasoning skills!

By: The Petoskey Stones Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

9:32 am - This was a tough one! I looked all over the place and I was just about to try to get my GPS signal back when I spotted one more similar place and barely felt something. I was impressed when the cache appeared. Nicely done! Thanks.

Chucky

By: GeoROCKS! Difficulty: 4.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

7:47 am - I found myself at the location and there wasn't anywhere to really hide a cache. I looked up my solution on site and realized I never entered the corrected coordinates, at least for the ballistics part. Found the cache ok after that. TNLNSL.

4:50 pm - Followed the geotrail to this one. Ivy hide. Ugh.

Grasslands

By: GeoROCKS! Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

8:09 am - Well, I parked in the right place first, but didn't see an obvious way to the cache, so I parked in a different spot and tried walking around. There was no way in that way, so I went back and found the little geotrail from the little parking lot. Found the cache, but I think this thing is going to get pretty wet and won't last long. TNLNSL.

Milpitas is going to the Dogs

By: Caching Casey Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

9:07 am - I used my language skills while the othere did the multi. They ended up finding the cache first though. Some dog walkers said they knew what we were doing, but didn't know where it was. This was a good warm-up for a full day of caching. Thanks.

Richard's Ramblings

By: GeoROCKS! Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Small

2:05 pm - mmp kept asking me how much further it was to the next cache, so I decided to just give him my GPSr for the next one. That seemed to keep him happy. We found it OK underneath some georocks. TNLNSL. Someday I hope that my own blog writings will be worthy of a cache.

End of Marsh Road

By: GeoBrowns Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Micro

4:52 pm - Usually a cache requires one u-turn, maybe two, but I did three u-turns for this one. I guess I was looking for a stop sign at the intersection, but I kept blowing by it. Once my GPSr batteries died and I went by before it got a signal back. One other time I didn't see a place to park.
Finally I stopped in the right place and rolled into the designated Geocacher parking. Nice!

There was actually a decent amount of traffic here tonight which interrupted my search, but I found relatively quickly.

Afterwards I headed over to see if you really can't get to Boccardo from the top. Y
ou can't.

Thanks for the cache!

Olive You Don Jose

7:48 am - Gah, this one was evil. I came within about an inch of it last time, but didn't spot the camo. Nasty! It did help on another cache though. Thanks.

Ben there, done that

7:59 am - I was stumped on this one until something from Marky's log clicked and I found the cache soon after. I had even touched it before, but the camo fooled me. You guys aren't fond of hints, are you? Thanks!

Why?

By: GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

3:10 pm - Uhh, because? I don't know. I also don't know why was my gps so far off on this one. I should have brought some destroyed remnants of one of my caches that was looted twice within a week. Thanks for the therapy.

Inca Gold: Atahualpa

By: GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

3:52 pm - I was dog tired by this time and ready to get into a comfy car and head to a comfy couch. This one completed the info we needed and we could now find the cache!

Inca Gold: The Fifth Sun

By: GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

2:45 pm - We did something very dangerous after finding this cache - we sat down. I was pretty happy sitting down under that tree after 10+ miles of hiking. Upon looking at the route, dgreno said we were "up to our eyeballs in Incas". Never thought about it that way, but I guess so! TNLNSL. Thanks.

Inca Gold: Last Words

By: GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

3:00 pm - I was feeing pretty tired by this point and was lagging behind a little bit. The others found it first.
Holy moly, this one was a work of art! The whole thing made sense now. I'm curious why the letter was dated 1994. The paper looked a lot older [;)]. Thanks again!

Inca Gold: Necklace of Tears

By: GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Regular

3:36 pm - Oh boy, all that downhill was killing my toes. We were getting tired and stumbly, slipping on the gravel. I hung back while the rest got the info so we could continue on. Almost there!

Inca Gold: Stairway to the Sky

By: GeoWomyn_SF_CA Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

3:23 pm - There was a guy reading a book on a rock right near this cache. He got very worried when mmp started crawling around near him and then flung the cache down to the trail. We got the info and continued on, with a parasailer directly above our heads. Thanks!

3:59 pm - Here ye, here ye - let it be declared that the 6th of November in each year shall be declared a National holiday in rememberance of the day when mmp found a cache that boulter missed.
The cache was well-covered and I didn't think it could be in there. We searched quite a few spots though and where the coordinates zeroed out, put us nowhere near the final location. Oh well, there were limited spots to search. I left some sweat and took a ticket home. Thanks!

Horse Heaven

1:20 pm - There was talk of "skipping" this cache because it was a diversion from our route to Mission peak. Heresy! .23 miles? I'm going for this one. I convinced the rest to do the same and we trodded through the beautiful valley up to the neat rock sculpture. The cache was small, but we found it OK and took some new coordinate readings. Thanks!

12:10 pm - Almost forgot to log this one from our Misson Peak frenzy. Good thing dgreno's got my back. I found this one pretty quickly and it was off for some more on a beautiful day up here. Thanks!

Hawk's Picnic

10:53 am - I've been wanting to do this hike up and find all these caches in a group for a long time. I decided that this would finally be the weekend and send out an email early in the week to organize and get everyone mentally prepared. I'm happy to say that it worked we had a great day up here, even if my feet may disagree. This was yet another nice excuse to stop along the way. TNLNSL. Thanks!

Spawning Ground

2:32 pm - I braved the mud for the good of the team to find this one. I took a rare hand-numbered digitalfish (#120). As we left, parasailers were gliding above us and casting cool shadows on the trail. Thanks for the cache!

LeChuck's Medusean Treasure

9:54 am - Here we go... this was the first one on our 14-mile, 7 hour hike. I took a ball and left matches from The Hog's Breath Inn in Carmel. Lots of more hiking to go, so we got on our way quickly. Thanks.

Silicon Valley View

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

10:44 am - dgreno made a point of saying that when he stopped, it was only to admire the view and not because he was tired. Boy, he sure did like the view on the way up here!
I found this one, we passed the log around and headed up some more. Thanks.

Ain't No Water Up Here

11:09 am - Geez, this one went 6 months without a find. I actually didn't find the cache, but I got it first. How did that happen? ProtechCC found it, claimed the FTF (First to Fumble) and it tumbled down the hill into my hands. Excellent.
Just a few minutes before a truck rolled by on the road. I'd sure like to figure out how I could make this one a drive up! Thanks.

Monument Peak

By: TeamAlamo Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Regular

11:40 am - I puffed my way up to this peak, found the cache, opened it, and dropped a magnet from it down into a crevice. It took some effort to rescue it. After all that, I TNLNSL. Wow, we sure are high up here! Thanks for the cache.

Hello, Allison

12:33 pm - I've been looking at this cache for a long, long time - since I started caching almost two years ago in fact. It was satisfying to finally claim it.
On the way up, we saw some odd trails running between holes in the ground. Squirrel trails? I didn't know there was a such a thing. I guess I do now.

I spotted the cache, but mmp had the right angle to get it out. I took a golf ball and left some matches from The Hog's Breath Inn. Thanks!

Man on a Mission

1:43 pm - I was on a mission alright - to find this cache after staring at it for two years. On the way, my friends made fun of my inability to comprehend poorly designed cow gates. We also saw a pair of hawks soaring and diving. Very cool.
I chugged up the hill and found the cache before we rested at the summit. TNLNSL. Thanks for the great view!

Weird, I forgot to log this. I'll never forget the event though. Thanks!

Little Cache of Horrors

8:58 pm - MotorBug told me there was new cache down the street, so we wandered down to see if we could find it. We poked around quite a while before I grabbed something that moved - a little. It took me quite a while to get it off and I fear I damaged the log sheet a bit. Thanks for setting this one up for the event.

More Power to You

By: workerofwood Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.0 Container: Small

9:41 pm - I followeed MotorBug over to this one and we found a park. As we were walking towards the cache I saw some people where the cache would be. We got closer and I recognized digitalfish, so I did my best impression of a cop shining a flashlight and scared the bejeesus out of them. Hee hee.
They already had the cache out, so we signed the log and admired the camo job. Nice one.
