O azul de Cacela Velha

By: Blue Trekkers Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Devia haver um log tipo TMM (too many mugles) :)

Deep in the Algarve (Barragem/Dam de Odeleite)

By: NCarvalho Difficulty: 3.0 Terrain: 2.5 Container: Regular

Sao Miguel Real #1

By: Jobra Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Found it. Very nice and quiet spot. Had some trouble figuring out what a 'stump' was, but finally i found the cache. Changed the outer bag for a new green one. Next cacher please take a ziplock bag for the logbook, and maybe a stashnote. IN - TB patinho-duckling (my first TB)
OUT - instant soup (!!!???)
CITO / TFTC
-----

TUNNELVISION

By: RedRocks Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Found this great cache. It was surely one of the most exciting caches i found so far, because it makes you go places you usually don't and forces you to overcome your fears. Went there a couple days before with my friend from Azores, but we only had one flashlight, and the Mosteiros side entrance had too much water on the ground. So we decided we'd try the other side another day. The Sete Cidades entrance and tunnel path were 95% dry, and the cache was quite easy to find. No trade. Thanks for the cache. --- Grande cache.

Rubber

Quite an impressive tree!!! Have a photo sitting on the huge roots some nice muggles were kind enough to help. The park is great. Everyone visiting should come here. My local friends didn't know it -shame on them! :)

GAIVOTAS

By: RedRocks Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 3.5 Container: Micro

I'm still very tired of the long hike. Will log as soon as i recover my breath :) Very nice (and long and hard) hike. It's not easy, specially if one is not used to this sort of task. But in the end is very rewarding. At some point the GPS showed 400 meters to the cache, but i had to walk more than 1 km to get there. Second to find?? Is everyone afraid of all those seagulls? I can understand that, as the seagulls got very loud, flying around me as i aproached their territory. Someone had been there the same day, and left a banana peel next to the cache. Was this a geocacher? TFTC

Tronqueira

By: nurbocris Difficulty: 2.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

THIS WAS A REAL ADVENTURE -My friend and i got to the cache after a lot of trouble: - first we tried the cache at 'Pico da Vara' but we got lost in all those trails and when we finally found the starting point it started to rain. We gave up and headed to Nordeste for a visit and some hot bean soup. Then we headed for Tronqueira. Found the wrong way first, but after some map guessing we got to Tronqueira cache just before nightfall as it started to rain. Not possible to give up when you are 40m from the target!! Gave the GPS to my friend and he found the cache. It was his first. The container was very damp, so we got it dry and put it in a ziplock bag (hope it works) with the stashnote out of the container. Then we put some rocks in the hiding place so the container/zipbag doesn't touch the ground nor the bush. It still is well disguised/camouflaged behind the rocks and some bush. When we got back to the car, the lights didn't work!!!
We couldn't stay there all night, so we drove down the dirt roads holding our flashlights out the windows :)
No trade. Thanks to the owner for this great adventure!!

Agua das Lombadas

By: The Possums Difficulty: 1.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Regular

Found it. Very nice cache. Started my trip at Caldeira da Ribeira Grande. On the way there the road had nice flowers on both sides. Sometimes it just looked like snow. The road is narrow but is OK to drive, there is no traffic. Once near the cache location i found the worst way to the cache, as usual. Easy find. Changed logbook ziplock bag. Next cacher please replace outer bag. No trade. Trash out.

Hot-Hot-Hot

Found easily this nice spot, with some many different tree species. The vapors are really hot-hot.

SALTO DO CAVALO

By: RedRocks Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

3rd and last cache of the day. Or should i say night? When i got to the location it was almost night and there was a lot of fog. On the way there, i asked for directions at the little village of Furnas to an old man - People here are very hard to understant because they speak portuguese with a strong funny accent - The only thing i got from him was 'i'll go with you because i live on the way to Salto do Cavalo'. So he came with me part of the way , as i tried to understand his monologue :) Finally alone i got to the cache as darkness fell, just in time to log and have a photo. This is why I can only guess the beauty of the place. Thanks for the cache anyway:)

CASTELO BRANCO

By: RedRocks Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 Container: Micro

Found this one on the way to 'Lagoa das Furnas'. When i got to the location, two cars arrived. They were part of some rallye, and the participants were looking for something in the same place the cache was. I'm surprised they didnt find it! Anyway, the place is great, with magnificent views. Had the chance to meet some nice cows and their owner :) Could also see a bird called 'milhafre' flying gracefully in the wind. This cache needs a pencil. No trade. Thanks for the cache. Photos later.

Goldra on the 8th degree

By: talkgb, chantal and licorice Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 3.0 Container: Regular

-----------
IN - key-chain marge simpson
Out - fish magnet
Obrigado pela cache / Thanks for the cache.
-----------------
After a bad day at work i just needed something like this: alone and away from the crowd, and a great view. Very easy to find. This is the biggest cache i've seen so far! O ne can easily leave a shoe in it :) I want to hide one just like this...
I believe the place is too obvious, so I took out some small stones and re-build the hiding place with big rocks and camouflaged it a bit with bush, so it doesn't stand out so much. It still is in the exact same place.
After al most an hour moving stones around, i realized i forgot to leave the keychain [:I] It's out of the box but inside the plastic bag.

The cache needs a new zip lock bag for the logbook.

Canto Inferior Direito

By: clcortez adopted by alieri Difficulty: 2.0 Terrain: 2.0 Container: Small

In - dinossauro
Out - fita porta-chaves
